This is our first time in Peru and we're quite happy we've gotten to linger in Lima for a while. We hope to see a lot more of Peru and indulge in even more of the deliciousness of Peruvian food. We'll have more videos to come from Lima - showing our hotel, more sights around town and a video dedicated to the amazing food (mostly seafood) we've been gorging on. You don't have to go to high-end restaurants to experience why Lima is considered the culinary capital of South America! We're in love with Lima! ❤❤
Hi jaferguson49 - it's always good to hear from you, too! We are loving Peru and this trip has been amazing so far, even considering the current political situation. We promise to stay safe and have a Merry Christmas - you do the same! 🎄
l am hoping that you will continue to feature your accommodations and also take a closer look at Peruvian cuisine. Stay safe, enjoy your travels and all the best!
We'll feature more hotel and food videos as we travel through this part of South America. Peruvian food has surprised us with its many different, deep flavors and varied selections... even within our price range! In our opinion, the hotels we've stayed at have all been amazing so far. Happy Christmas to you and your family!
Happy to hear from you, hope you continue your journey safely. Lima looks great, with its large blvds and parks, i can imagine how different it would be with the traffic. Keep safe and looking forward for more news. I am back in Mazatlan since the 13th of december. Glad to be back. Feliz Navidad!🎄😉
Hello Marthe. We're so happy to hear that you're back in Mazatlán and that you're enjoying yourself in your happy winter place 🌞😉. Lima is fantastic, though the traffic is insane here. It's a city with a population of 11, 000,000! It is really only around the Plaza de Armas where the traffic is currently blocked from in the city centre. Public transport is brilliant here. We'll do our best to get videos out when we can, wifi isn't the greatest so far and also we have to see how travelling throughout Peru will pan out - quite a bit of uncertainty at the moment, but we are loving Peru. Happy Christmas/Feliz Navidad/Joyeux Nöel, 🎄🎅 Marthe. Thank you for all of your support. 🥰🤗🥰🤗
Thanks Chicken. Just taking it all day by day. The buses are running again, though there are still blockades throughout the country. We have made it from Lima to up in the mountains to a little town called Tarma. Today we have moved from there on to Huancayo, we reckon we'll be here for Christmas. The blockades seem to be especially numerous in the south. We'll see where we end up 😉, but no matter where we are in love with Peru. Happy Christmas 🎄 to yourself and the Gorgeous M. Ooooooooodles of Love and Hugs, Chickens. 🥰❤️🥰❤️
Hello Mr Fish. Enjoy your time rafting and stay safe on the water. Caral sounds like a very interesting site. We filmed this video at Pachacamac ruins, quite the other-worldly site! Enjoy your travels and stay safe.
This is why I said “keep safe”, I’d have loved watching Bolivia, but I’m sure you’ll more than make up for it with your perspective on Ecuador. Can’t wait.
Hello H In The Groove, we promise we'll stay safe. Unfortunately Bolivia will have to wait for a different trip, however on the plus side it just means we'll get to spend a wee bit more time in Peru and Ecuador. We just arrived in Ecuador 2 days ago and have been travelling over the last couple of days. Hopefully soon we'll stay put for a bit and do some exploring. We have been filming though up to this point, even though they've just been quick stops thus far. Stay tuned for some Ecuador videos and more from Peru too!
Oh My goodness. That sounded kind of wild. I will keep my fingers crossed and hope you two have a Safe and Happy Christmas. I think of you two all the time. Take Good Care.
Hi Roy! We really like Lima, even though our time there has been extended due to the current situation. The most important thing to note is that we are safe - things will sort themselves out and we'll be on the move again soon. We wish you and your family a safe and happy Christmas as well!
Merry Christmas to both and a happy new year!!! Hopefully you can get out at some point... I never thought of Lima being so beautiful - thank you for showing that to us! :)
Hello and Happy Christmas. It's always so lovely to hear from yous. We hope yous are having a lovely Christmas. Are yous in Cancun or Chicago? Wherever yous are, we hope yous are surrounded by family, friends and good food. We have moved on from Lima. We are currently over 10,500' up in the mountains of the Central Highlands in a lovely town called Huancayo. We are loving it here, though we still miss Lima. People in Peru are incredibly sweet and friendly. From here we plan to travel to Huancavelica and on to Ayacucho. From there the plan is to head south to the border with Bolivia, though our route will depend on the road blockades. We'll keep yous posted. Happy Christmas Chickens (Irish term of endearment) and thank yous so much for taking the time to comment and think of us at this very busy time of year - Fi and Jerry (Your Drifters) xx 🥰🤗🥰🤗
@@ACoupleofDrifters Hello Fi and Jerry -you are truly world trotters :) - you see so many places and you are not afraid to go wherever the road calls you! Be safe! We are still in Chicago just getting off -34F weather... 3 more months till we start driving down to Cancun :)... counting every day!!! I hope you had a happy Christmas and are enjoying a lovely evening. 🥰🤗
We promise we'll stay safe. We had a lovely Christmas Day here in Huancayo, we really are enjoying this city immensely. We look forward to hearing about your adventure driving to Cancun. Before you know it you'll be hopping in the car and you'll be on your way. Those are some brutal temperatures! Stay warm and a Very Happy New Year to yourselves and your wee family. 🥰🤗🥰🤗
