My Issues with Six Flags over America

- After a long week of visiting Washington DC, I decided to stop by my number four theme park on my list of trying to go to 15 theme parks withing a year. This park has so much potential but seems to be lacking compared to the other Parks in various areas. Even though I'm hard on the park in this video there will be another video focusing on all the positives of the park.
You should send this to the CEO. This is a fair and balanced review. They should know how negative the impression is so they can be aware that it's impacting the bottom line.
Six Flags America has A LOT of potential. The first area you pointed out that seemed blocked off used to be a pathway leading to the former location of their Enterprise ride used to be back in the day. I agree that there are areas needing some TLC, but they are making strides with improvements. You also pointed out former sites for the Larsen Looper and another flat ride that was removed from the Mardis Gras area. Hopefully, they will be replaced with additional flats in 2025. It's a charming park. The re-imagined SteamTown area is excellent! Give them some time and you may be surprised in the future.
We live 20 mins from this park and haven't been in a couple of years! It's a shame because I've grown up here and have been going since it was Wild World. We'll go later this season to check out what they've done with Mind Eraser and to see the new steampunk section, but we're not even excited about it, lol! Once the merger is complete, this will be one of the first parks to be sold for parts! The land is worth too much!
👏👏👏👏
As this is my local park I think his ideas are very good to fix up this place
I actually like this park 😂 BUT it definitely needs attention n’ love! lots of POTENTIAL, but 🤷🏻♂️ (grateful that Kings Dominion/Busch are my home parks and this park is kinda like a bonus for me lol)
Exactly. The fact that it's next to our nation's capital, like you said, is an embarrassment. 😢🇺🇲 Out of all the Six Flags parks, this one should be in pristine condition to be a model for our nation! I mean, that's why they built the park: to honor America. You would think they would want it to look nice.
Also, I remember a long time ago they even had some safety concerns and issues similar to what Six Flags Over Georgia has been dealing with lately. I don't think it's the same way now, but I definitely remember hearing from a lot of people in the past that they didn't feel safe going to that park because of vandalism and other nefarious things.
Operation wise, this has been a bad year so far. One train ops on every coaster and I think it’s for the whole year. Food prices have gotten insane with less portions. The new water coaster that opens keeps shutting down every 30 mins. Shipwreck Falls is closed for good and now has a fence around it.
It's doesn't help the Six Flags America that it's close enough to Knobels, Dorney Park, Hershey Park, Six Flags Great Adventure, Bush Gardens, Kings Dominion. All but maybe Knobels is better than SFA
I love Knoebel’s. At least they give a rip
The fact that Kings Dominion and Busch Gardens Williamsburg are right next door and look a million times better than this park is an embarrassment for sure to the Six Flags brand!
And that's just the parks south of Six Flags America . Going North you'll get Knobels, Hershey Park, Dorney Park, and SFGA. A
I’m glad to be in your first 400, you’re a great vlogger
Awe, thank you so much
I don't think you're being too hard on this park. I wish other people, like Coaster Studios, were more honest about these glaring issues. I've been hearing my uncle and other family members tell me the exact same horror stories about this park for decades ever since the early 2000s, so if they haven't changed a bit since then, they need tough criticism to get their park right. 👍🏻
I love this park for its smallness and easier to find my family lol. But as a coaster fan i will say this. I wish they RMC Roar and added a new coaster. Not no buying an old ride like FireBird and Rajin Cajun both came from Six Flags Great America. I still remember back then we had the Iron Eagle ride and Two Face ride. This was a great review. That spot in Mardi Gra used to be the
one ride i forgot the name. It was a Larson Loop ride
When Great America is better than basic America
Even though i live 5 miles away from that place, im in no rush to return and my home park is still BGW. My last visit to SFA was October 2020 😷
It's not only that, but it's a cleanliness issue too. One of my friends said the Superman ride smells like body odor every time he gets on it. 😂😱 A lot of the rides haven't even been cleaned for years, which is disgusting. 🤢 My friend also said that the area near the Mardi Gras and Ragin' Cajun section smelled like vomit, like someone recently got sick on the ride and they never cleaned it up. Apparently, the whole area smelled that way all day. I wish I was making this stuff up, but I'm not.
I believe it. This part was full of things that blew my mind on what was allowed to happen.
And it’s probably you making it smell like that
Nice video!!
Thanks
Jesus this park needs a desperate overhaul. I think the last time I was here was in 2005
You wanted the chop six sign to say it’s closed so bad
I mean, Six Flags Great Adventure isn't far from this park either, and that is the best park in my opinion! Why can't they do the same here and give it some love? ❤️
I agree, when I went to Six Flags, great adventure, I was blown away by how awesome the park was
For the price of a season pass, the park & the waterpark are worth it. Is it awesome? Not really. Is it a fun afternoon? Sure.
How about you pay for the loop
lol yeah true. I’m just saying, Six Flags magic Mountain, six flags great adventure and discovery Kingdom get upgrades but it seems like Six Flags doesn’t get the attention that Six flags America should
Please go to six flags over Georgia so I can laugh😂😂 it’s horrible
😂😂😂 SF Georgia is on my list to go to
