No, it's the proportions that are the issue. The BF2 models were inaccurate, though they did that because of clipping issues. The movie design actually is impossible to move in without modifying the proportions, however I think Kenobi/Andor does it better than BF2 to get the motion fluid with very little tweaking. Creating a low poly version is not the issue.
Even if people don't appreciate your Blender videos. I do, I really want to learn how to make things just like you do. I appreciate your videos. Keep going!

WOW your work is amazing and in my opinionen very close to the real model used in Revenge of the Sith! Are you planning to make a tutorial series on this? It would definitely be a gamechanger for a lot of newcomers.
Thanks for the kind words. There is not really anything special about making this. It just takes a lot of time. I did it in about 3 months, so making a tutorial series about that is not really possible. But I plan to do some short tutorials about other stuff soon.

What do you mean exactly? How to create it? It’s basically just a normal character, with much less details everywhere. Since the suit just smoothes everything
You mean the topology? It‘s actually quite a bit of work. In the end I go over everything and try to make it as pretty as possible. I mostly use the knife tool to „draw“ the new edge. After that I delete the old one

Great video and awesome result!

I'm new to blender, what are you using to create the new "dots" at 0:59 ?
That is just a simple extrusion. It looks a bit weird from the side and sped up.
