I can vouch for the Alternate Picking Schematic! As a long term JTC subscriber who has learned from so many courses, I would put it up there as the best in terms of pure alternate picking. What I love about it are the unique patterns and finger choices - it’s not all just the same Paul Gilbert lick exercises like a lot of others
Awesome! It’s likely I’ve missed some, but in my experience a lot of what I talk about in that lesson pack, I feel is never addressed but essential information. I’m glad you’ve applied it well and had a positive experience with it. Much appreciated dude! 🙏🏼
@@Tramaineguitar For sure, thanks again! A quick question if you have time - I noticed that you favor fingers 1,2, and 3 and use the pinky less. I also see guys like Guthrie, Max Ostro, and Ymgwie do it. Is there a speed/accuracy reason for this? Or is it just how you naturally developed your left hand?
All depends on the tension really (in my opinion) so the scale length needs to be taken into account. But then we also have the option of picking a bit closer to the bridge if you need less ‘bounce’. I often do this if I wanna do a stupidly fast spam of notes lol 😂
💯❤🔥 Merry christmas Tramaine. I wish you all the (musical) best for 2025!
Thank you 🙏🏼 merry Christmas! 🎄

Great tips , your masterclass was such an upgrade on my alternate picking 👊🏻
Awesome! Glad it helped you out! Any questions, let me know! 😁
what string gauge do you use? Does that make any difference in your opinion? I would imagine heavier makes alternate easier.
