Bizarre decision and probably done for cost reasons, the passengers must have been pissed and even more so if they had booked on to the next day's flight with the medical emergency.
What exactly was the tech issue? Isn't that required to be reported to the aviation authority and so publicly available?
Rather than “technical issue”, it was turkey and cranberry sauce they forgot to bring along!
The 777-X would be good
More than enough time to replace the aircraft once upon arrival at LHR.
The best replacement for the 777-200ER is obviously the A350-900
No better choice than this.
Y’all thought airlines will make decisions based on your personal preferences😂
b777x on the way
When I read the title of video,I immediately think alien is excited, tarnishing excellent Boeing 777,A350 has fixed old style wing,777 is advanced wing.
@@prasenjittripura4691 But the way seems to be much longer than expected.
How are are "frequent flyer miles" assessed in this case. Hope accrual is NOT zero for the scenic flight.
At least they weren’t a flight to nowhere that got people waiting in line for 5 hours with no explanation and staff being rude like my flight.
Honestly, they should be more transparent with these turn arounds. And why's it taken nearly 2 weeks for this to filter down to SF?
If BA want to wait for the 777-Xs, so be it. However, think they should bite the bullet and call up Airbus for some more A350's to replace the very oldest of the fleet.
Why is it so common for airlines to buy new expensive aircrafts, when keeping up with the regular maintenance of older planes is the right thing to do. They'll rather spend more and not less to save cost and be profitable? 😒
AIRBUS CRY FAN😂
@@4evertrue830 Modern planes need less fuel. And fuel costs are high these days.
Can you spell compensation?
So many medical emergencies lately
On average people are older these days. It's not too surprising that there are more medical issues too.
777X I guess
And maybe why they are waiting to replace them?
@@officialworldarmy543 nope
For now, In my opinion, the Boeing 787 Dreamliner will be replaced the airline's Boeing 777-200ER rather than the 777X due to repeat certification delays (to now likely early 2026)
Airbus simply the best
Nuh uh
787-9 or A350-900
Should have diverted to Doha. And rebooked passengers on Qatar airways.
A350-900
Who cares! None of us were there.
They need to order more A350’s rather than wait for the 777X variants. JDI please 😊
And when they do, how long do they have to wait for the A350s?
So they are not doing anything to replace older planes? Good enough reason not to fly BA.
787-10ER would be the best suited for their replacement
787 got the ER?
@@krongkiatearthsakulleelara6714it will be coming out later this year or next year
@@Coreyphillip7478 no chance too big for some airports
Omg, the horror..😫 💀
Boeing again
Wasn’t Boeings fault
-200ER / A350-900. -300ER / A350-1000. Cancel 777-9X
Good
???
BA is the worst airline among the legacy carriers. Simply stay away from them.

SO???
Pin
WHY???
Never liked BA and their run down fleet...
