I'm getting my Beetle restored in about a year from now (waiting list) and i had Atlas Blue in mind with a tan interior. Not original for the '74 but in my mind it works. It'll be very expensive but i'd rather drive around in a fancy restored Beetle than in any new car.
@@classicvwbugsyou did a video on the “birth” certificate of the bugs, right? I gotta look for that video and get one for my car. If it has the right color I think it’s close to a coral red maybe
@@iddybiddyladybugleeza262 yeah it's an old video, so not sure if that technique is the same way to get the birth certificate. But I think if you just do a Google search you will find it.
My first car was a 69 Bug. Bought it for $600 when I was 16 (1994) and all it really needed was a paint job. My dad and I painted it a metallic forest green. About six months later I decided to wax it but used rubbing compound instead. Later that day I would learn many new colorful words and phrases, courtesy of my dad. We laugh about it now...sort of.

I painted my ‘65 Meadow Mist Green from 1956 Ford.
The Pearl Blue probably wasn't metallic, like the L87 Pearlweiss wasn't.
Finished restoring my 66 Beetle last year, please no body get mad at me but I went with Corvette yellow😶
For your convertible what modern paint code was it?
Subaru 25L Silver Granite (L322)
Thank You I went to Subaru and even they said it looks very silverish not dark like you have it on your convertible.

Ultra maroon is a hard nut to crack....when I Google the picture every car looks different
