Ideapad slim series may bahot log ke hinge issues ke comments and thread pade, how is your experience? Recently my old laptop display broke because of hinge issue and i would not want that to happen with my new laptop. Slim 3 specs are good but only deal breaker is built quality (even though they mention military grade durability but still people are complaining about hinge breaking)

Depends on your requirement. I have a 10 year old Lenovo ThinkPad which has been upgraded to 32GB ram and 256GB SSD. I use it to learn any new programming language like golang or any devops stuff like k8. I have 10 years of experience and sure I can easily afford the latest laptops with all the high end stuff in it...but I really don't need it. If you have the money then surely go for ThinkPad lineup even some of the thinkbook are good provided they are future proof as in the Ram shouldnt be soldered to the motherboard. As long as you support to upgrade the ran to 32GB or 64Gb ... you're sorted for a decade. Sure the display tech and resolution will suck over time but you can buy external monitor in future for higher resolution. As you mature you learn the difference between need and want.

Well as per your requirement avoid anything slim especially the yoga line up since the hinge is the first thing that goes. Any gaming laptop with H series processor and atleast 3050 graphic card should suffice. Battery life will suck but that's the tradeoff for high performance
Also watch alex ziskind channel and Just Josh channel for developer centric reviews. None of the Indian laptop channels are developer centric. These reviews are just going by the numbers and don't have a computer science background. How the hell will they suggest you a good laptop. Alex does a deep dive of running programs in all the laptops which he tests.

Don't go for omen, the screen is shit with just 250nits, the speaker is shitt. The laptop isn't optimised enough, you won't get good fps in games
