The way she delivered the feeling of her trying so hard all alone at 5:13 is the reason why she is my personal favorite singer. You can just hear all over her songs that she puts her soul into them, and they never fail to hit me right in the feels.

she came with many aliases and involved in many doujin (amateur group) in the past about 20-30 respective names such as Supercell, project ALCA, electrocutica, mamenoi, flamingjune, CorLeonis, gazelle and many more

@@StrangeSinceBirth there's a site on japan called "nico-nico", basically a place where amateur composer and singer can promote and place their works with whatever creativity they like. And in that site once there's a person who always topped the chart whenever she's involved. She came under many different aliases, before she finally made her debut years ago professionaly. In that projects of hers, not every one sang by her (although there's an album that made fully using her vocals as supercell first album, flaming june- owari hoshi, mamenoi- tachyon, etc). She usually invited as a guest vocalist and sang couple songs for them.
In my view, what she achieved not really matched how talented a singer she is. Even tho, after her professional, lot of her songs chosen as tv anime ost (oregairu, nagi no asukara, owari no seraph, many more).
She describes how she originally did not intend to pursue a career in music, as producing dōjin music was just a hobby and she was working at a non-music related job (source wiki). when she made a lyrics, she always bring a whole camus and it reflects on her works. Also her lyricals sometimes could projected into surrealist type and dreamy but there's also songs from her that just direct.
Fortunately there's many fans who understands english have made many translation for her past songs so we could now fully understand her genius works.
in short, old people in japan music industry and entertainment like animes, especially last decades and more knows her (yanagi nagi/ やなぎ なぎ) or sometimes her voices but not knowing that she already made professional.
Minami is like present husky japanese singer gen. Have you check out the "previous gen", aimer?
