SJ: During my psychology degree, I burnt up lots of units studying the 'correlates of consciousness' in a hybrid between psychology and philosophy. I sincerely hope that this becomes a fundamental question for all beings - not just in the dusty hallows of universities. What it means to be human, what it means to be conscious, what constitutes fundamental personhood is long overdue for debate. Not just with the advent of AI, but with refugees & homelessness, post covid income earning, the conversation around a basic wage and the right to live off the grid - opting out. Dead governments trying to stay relevant that no longer appeal to either left or right leaning folk are not providing forums - so who will it be? You tubers? AI is a catalyst not an answer.
From my perspective, we don’t know anything beyond our current understanding of physics based on the current tools that we have that are very limited. There are things about consciousness that we have yet to understand. I think it’s important as technology continues to progress, we need to keep an open mind to the things we might discover in the future. Always hoping for the best though! 😅
I think AI should not be underestimated even now. For example, I personally am working on implementing an astrological AI with a diary for astrologers (AiDA: Astrodiary). And in some areas, it turns out very decent and gets better and better every month - because the AI models themselves are becoming better 😇
Great video and incredibly timely for me! I have just started a course in AI to understand exactly what it can and can't do. However, I am also a horary astrologer and when I asked AI if it could do horaries, it told me to consult an astrologer as it is beyond its remit! So yes, there are things it can't do and thank goodness for that.

Your video prompted this for me: 1. I think AI can help us synthesize our own astrology apps. Imagine you have your own phone or pc app and you can easily customize it to your preferences. Instead of having this outdated feel of Solar Fire or new feel of all the newly emerged phone apps that all seem like they miss something (for me personally). AI can give astrologers personalized apps which work for their way of doing things and their way of communicating their gifts with others. 2. I recently learned about parallel and contra-parallel alignments and an eclipse, for example, is an alignment in both ways (parallel and conjunct/opposite). Now, I'm personally wondering about the points where planets are actually forming an angle in the sky that is generally overseen in contemporary astrology. With a pythagorean formula calculation of the exact angle between planets based on 'normal angles' and 'parallel angles' there should be a third point of exact alignment that is, for example, neither square in the contemporary sense, nor parallel, but is in fact in an exact 90 degree angle. I'm not too familiar with this to know the ins and outs and perhaps one could calculate this without AI, but AI's computing power is undeniable and could provide us with information through calculations heretofore unavailable to us. 3. I wonder if AI can bring a new experience of the zodiac to people. Looking at a chart is pretty flat and dry. Perhaps AI could either make the experience of reading a chart more alive, or make aspects in a chart come alive for people in new ways (also see 4.) 4. AI can help us get to know astrology's lexicon. For example one could ask it to make a short movie with Libra energy, or a makeover of The Lord of The Rings, but with Scorpio energy. AI would probably correct a lot of the erratic human interpretation of astrology, especially from a lot of the archetypal distortions prevalent in the 'mundane' community. If the algorithm is sophisticated enough to correct those errors and conflations, it can deeply impact the predictive aspects of it - which I personally have a gripe with. The future should be left unknown.
