Great video Frank I also have a RV3 tent & a 3 meter XTM awning, I added ARB walls to mine they are definitely worth the extra $30 over the XTM walls. Much thicker canvas & velcro flaps if you are thinking of adding them. Cheers Tony
Hey, Tony, I'm not sure yet, I'll probably go back to the gazebo...its bigger, stronger, easier to put up and not attached to the ute. I might put the awning on the other side for longer stays and make a bathroom/toilet area 🤔
Nice looking country and a great video. Sometimes you just need a little whisky and guitar. Two of my favorites as well. Good to see Digger and it looked like he got on well with the cows. Thank you for sharing!
Hi, David, Did you recognise the songs??...I didn't think I played them well enough. I'll have to keep practicing now that I've shown it in a video! It was a nice moment, sitting by the fire with my dog and a flask...good times 😎
Recently found your channel and went back and watched from the beginning. Such a nice set up with your truck. Very well thought out. I love an organized camp site and yours sets a great example. I’m most impressed with the love and care you show to Digger. It speaks volumes. Looking forward to seeing more adventures. Thanks for sharing!
Thank you, Suzanne, thats a nice comment. More coming soon, I upload every Sunday night at 9pm (AEST) I'm going on a road trip in a few days, so I'll have some nice footage of the Outback!
Hey, Yeah, its an Oztent RV3 I got it for the ease of set up. I wasn't sure about the lack of head room but in the end it turned out just enough for what I need. The speed of set up and quality build make up for a slight loss of head room
Hi, Louis, the cows did spoil it a bit, I had planned on staying two nights but decided not to in the end. Digger feels safe around me...or rather, behind me! LOL He protects me from people, I protect him from animals!
Great video as always Frank. I like the idea of the rock lights, I might have to invest in some for the caravan for when the knuckle headed idiot dog comes away with us, a chocolate lab at night, you know the story! Feeling like I need another trip to the northern rivers hinterland again soon after this!
Hi, Steve, Yeah, it is handy having those lights underneath, the more wired lights the better, instead of the hassle of recharging portable lights. I'll have to get up to the Northern River region myself one day, looks stunning!
hey mate, dead right - a wise man did once say "no fire no camping" always wonder who that caped crusader was. love the addition of the guitar and the hippy flask, coincidently I always take a couple of hippies when camping and was trying to learn a few cords but had to put it away due to frustration with it, maybe was too much whiskey while trying to get the strumming happening. nice camp area except too many people mate, what day of the week were you there? poor old Dig - he wasn't a happy chappy was he. Cheers
Hey, Steve, I’d be embarrassed if I told you how long I’ve owned that guitar! Lol it is frustrating to learn, so I’ve only ever picked it up for 10mins every few months! I showed it in the video to try and motivate myself…we’ll see what happens! It was nice though, sitting by the fire with the axe and a flask. Yeah, there were too many people for me. I was there mid week (Wednesday/Thursday) didn’t expect so many. The cows were annoying everyone. It’s a council run reserve so don’t know why the farmer is allowed to let his cows roam free. The cow pats attracted loads of flies and those who tried fishing were disturbed by cows just walking up the middle of the river! I had planned on staying two nights and doing some kayaking the second day. I won’t go back while cows are allowed there.
I think Guitar's are like that - maybe we could have a jam and wear ear muffs 🤣 wow - mid week and that many camping wonder who was at work keeping the country afloat ayy, farmer probably pays council an ajistment fee but sure were friendly critters. anyway mate you went and checked it out so now you know what to expect - thats a positive in my book.
@@steve-deltasdad3906 Yeah, so many people for mid week. they were all grey nomads in RV's and caravans. Didn't notice anyone stay a 2nd night. Its a shame, beautiful spot.
I see it as a symptom of the changes during lockdown etc where it used to be just grey nomads now it's just plain nomads and as a consequence the previous pristine areas are fast becoming trashed and less attractive to camp in - hence the growth in paid sites. 🙁👎
Dear Frank and Digger, another spectacular video. Something new each time 😊 steady on with the bare chest shots, otherwise you'll have to share your 'only fans' link 😂 Jokes aside, I am loving the photography and mood it's setting, well done sir. Your channel will go amazingly far, it's a beautiful way to showcase Australia, and you and Digger are sharing with the world the beauty we call home.
Thanks, Jacinda, glad your still liking the vids! I'm trying to keep it interesting and make improvements each time. I'm loving the process and excited to see the channel grow...its just not happening quick enough! LOL
@@4X4CA I'm loving the oven idea, I'm buying myself one for Christmas. Now onto a good quality camp knife. I like a wooden handle, and a solid blade, the quality cuts for sharpness and resharpening 🤔
@@My_thought_bubbles yeah, I'm really happy with the oven. they take a while to heat up though, as they are only 12v 10amp (about 2hrs) max temp is 180 (average 160) so they are more suited to re-heating...unless your recipe calls for low and slow. The best part is if your touring, then you can have it on while driving and arrive at camp with a hot meal ready!...just choose your recipes with bumpy roads in mind! Lol
hi Guys & Gals, yummmmm apple pie, now that would be something Jacinda....! I started out with the intention of adding a 12v oven to my off grid fit out but have changed that to an air fryer due to the flexibility it gives and short cook and heat up time - the one down side is the physical size - just have to find a spot for it to pack into where it won't get damaged when off road. 👍😜
Digger is back ❤
👍

Hi, Kerrie, he is a good boy!
Great review.

This new air mattress looks like too much of a struggle to take out, LOL.
Glad you like!

It’s so disheartening seeing rubbish…and especially glass all over campsites. The glass will be there for a millennium!
