@@joeblow1942 mmkay.. Pipe is a freakish exception not a hotdog wave, and the boards we call stepups resemble the eqpmnt Gerry and Rory were on. There's not much choice for maneuvers at Pipeline except make it or break it. I was speaking in more general terms, how it's refreshing to see an approach different from the new normal which often focuses on one big maneuver rather than the wave as a whole. But it's all good. I think the old and new are starting to converge, outside the contest or quick cut video format.
That surf film is Numba One!!!! Aloha!!!!
Bali is so crowded now, these guys were in heaven!
No lip smacks and no cutbacks.
I sometimes wish buddy boy kaohi was shown surfing at dumps in maui
Nossa, essas ondas são perfeitas
Functional grace, when making waves was a thing. Beats watching trendy thrashers on tiny boards getting shut down.
You don’t think surfers at pipeline aren’t trying to make the wave?
@@joeblow1942 seeing how Lopez and Russel pretty much invented consistent tuberiding at Pipe, you picked the one main exception that proves the point.
@@davidgough3512 They pretty much did invent tube riding at pipe but thats irrelevant to my point.

@Bebtelovimab yeah average beachbreaks are a thing unto themselves. When they're working right they can be hard to beat. Otherwise : meh.
