Honestly as much as I love Renoise and it's workflow, I was a little frustrated it didn't have this sidechain functionality for so long. Something that I feel is quite essential in a lot of electronic projects. I had to make do for a while with using A1TriggerGate for modulating the volume to get a similar effect because I couldn't understand the process of using the signal follower. I'm really happy to see sidechaining into VST compressors is finally here. Cheers lads!
This is very good. I hope one day that I can send audio to regular tracks or to have the send tracks wherever I want. I dont like having the send tracks all the way over on the other side of the master track. Cheers ❤️
awesome also, is there a way to split a track into multiple without using send? kinda looking for a multiband send that just spits it out to selected tracks rather than send tracks, as those can't be grouped and it gets kinda messy or something like a return effect, that pushes it back to another set of channels or just some kind of of audio passthrough, that can push the audio 1:1 from a track to the next one on the right-hadn side, to be manipulated from there, without having to duplicate the patterns ...or a way to duplicate buses on audio routing, and send them to others, maybe even a line-in type of DSP something along those lines
Perfect. This means I can now use my brand new Audiothings Motor vst. I didn't realize this routing device existed before. Was this added in my recent update I installed or have I simply just missed this before ?
I'm a big fan of Tracker workflows and Renoise in particular, but sidechaining is probably the most flawed when compared to other DAWs like Bitwig, Cubase, Ableton etc... Even 3rd party sidechain plugins having to be routed in this manner seems a bit step heavy... or maybe I am just used to the one click options... I see why all the extra routing can also be beneficial but maybe just my workflow is too consumed by traditional DAW sidechaining...
Sidechain, at last! ♥ And support of VST3 plugins as well? Well, time to re-install almost all of the plugins. (I stumbled on this by accident. Where's the news letter?)
@Renoise I have a demo version of ReNoise on my computer for a while now, but never got to actually buy it, because there wasn't a way to properly integrate it with my main DAW, Reason. Now I got myself the Reason 11 Suite, including the Rack Plug-in. But when I tried to use it in ReNoise, it somehow didn't work. (If I remember correctly, couldn't find the plug-in in the list, although *I think* I gave it the right folder to look in.) Now I just saw you using the Reason Rack in ReNoise and got curious about how to do it. Maybe you (or someone else) can tell me, what exactly I have to do to make it work… on a PC running Windows 10…!? :)
Download the latest version that was just released. We've added VST3 support, which is what the Reason Rack uses: forum.renoise.com/t/renoise-3-3-and-redux-1-2-released/62761
It's interesting of course how Renoise is blazing it's own trail it's own way, but why did you totally ignore Reaper and how it utterly squashed the 'sidechain problem' in such an irreversible way?

This is it right here. This is *the* video that got me to finally upgrade my license that expired at 3.1 lol.
Love to hear our host's vocoded voice 0:38-1:00!!
Thank you. Been waiting for this a long time...
renoise is the best! sooo many features and so well-programmed :)
Sweet, a new routing device as well! :)

Does Renoise have VST 3-Support now?
Indeed, check it out: forum.renoise.com/t/renoise-3-3-and-redux-1-2-released/62761
@@renoise ok, time to come home now!

Wow, I thought Renoise was stuck in the past. Bought Redux to show my support

excelente!
Can you please add a feature to allow users to enter notes using regular C, D, E, F, G ... notation?
How would you enter a E flat?
@@sanjacobs6261 Press the E key followed by a hotkey for flat.
