Hi Guys! Sorry for the screw up - Michele is heading to Knoxville today but her itinerary is really tight. It would have been fun to have her visit. She is a world traveler and a award winning photographer. We just love your videos! Being a person coming from wood working families it means a lot and I have learned so much from you guys. All my tools from canoe building is in the new Canoe museum in Peterborough Ontario Canada and I think it is almost finished. We will make a run to that when it opens. Great to see your son again and wish everyone well. Big hugs to Jennifer as well.
That’s all right Ted we all make mistakes, L O L. That’s great news about your canoe and handtools. Be sure and send me some pictures so that I can see what you did.
What’s up my friend. It was nice having the kids together again to help out because we sure got a lot done. The beam kind of bugged us down for a few days but we managed to finish it and get it up.
Wow! Talk about a solid structure! Can’t tell you how much I’m loving this build! So nice to see all three of you working together. You’re all amazing! Have a great week!!
R that beam is a monster work of art you are truly blessed to have a couple of kids to help you out I just admire all of you guys stay safe and God bless
Really looks good Richard. Glad you had Jennifer there to help set those two braces. Both of your kids sure have picked up a lot of slack for all three of you. Such a joy to see that happen in a family setting. You'll breath a little easier for a while and then get the roof on and then it won't be too much longer. Stay safe and keep up the great videos. Fred.
It sure was nice having the extra help here to put that beam up. It bogs down for a couple of days just putting it together but we finally finished it and got it up. I think we were pushing the limits on what we could do with the equipment that we have, L O L. But you know that’s how hillbillies are.
good video and job really nice beam. last time i got lumber at store i had to go thru 40 to find 9 i could use. i used a good power pole for my beam it was 40 feet i have a 30 feet openiing with heavy bracing good you had help from kids Jenifer maybe become a timber framer and built her own house. all of you take care, be safe and well.
Hate to have to correct you on something Richard, but that isn't called store-bought wood, its DC wood, as in Washington DC...crooked as all get out!!! 😜😜 Its great how well you and Patrick work together and how much you can accomplish with an extra pair of hands. I'm glad it rained one day while he was there so you could just have a day to visit and enjoy each other's company. As with all your builds this is one solid structure. God bless. #SMO #SmokyMountainOutpost #Smoky #Dolly #WhatWeDoin'?
Yeah, we did that when we were shopping for the lumber. We picked out the best that they had but it was still questionable, L O L. I had no idea it would twist on me like it did.
We have carpenter bees that can damage any wood structure. They bore perfectly round holes in wood. It doesn't matter how thick it is, they put it in any solid wood. Spring time is the worst.
Revelation 1:4-6 King James Version 4 John to the seven churches which are in Asia: Grace be unto you, and peace, from him which is, and which was, and which is to come; and from the seven Spirits which are before his throne; 5 And from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, and the first begotten of the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth. Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood, 6 And hath made us kings and priests unto God and his Father; to him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen. Gods blessings over you .
Super Arbeit wie immer passt bitte auf euch auf und bleibt alle gesund 👋🙂🙋♂️🤗😁😅

@@SmokyMountainOutpost We must give thanks to the Hillbillies, Ridgerunners, and OLD FOLKS that made do with what they had that lived before us.
Looks great. You three work together really good😊
Thank you! 😊

Products today have lost their quality from years past in my opinion. Thanks for following… stay tuned for my build! 🙃 -Jennifer
Good job, it is great having kids that will help you.
Thank you! -Jennifer
Wow, nice laminated beam with scarf joints for the 2×12's...not many builders on utube use scarf joints to extend the length...bravo brother!!!
With the plywood and that whole gallon of glue that we used in those 28 pieces of all thread, I believe it’s there for a long time
You're all amazing RSA
Thank you!
Checking in with SM outpost don't be Dumb hit the Thumb and support them.
What’s up Sergio. Hope you have a great week.
I enjoy very much your efforts. Thanks for sharing your dreams.
Thank you we certainly appreciate that and hope you have a great week
Just beautiful
Thank you! Cheers!
You can use a small bend in the wood to make the arch in your wood
❤preloading them
To account for that load

Absolutely. You were reading between my lines weren’t you, L O L. Thanks for the comment and hope you have a great week.
Hey Jennifer when’s a door not a door? When’s its A Jar😂😂😂😂
I love that! Now if I can only remember that for the next joke day, lol. Thanks! -Jennifer
The flitch beam alternative could be the real winner...any scrapsteel yard would have the goodies..
Oh my
❤sometimes necessary for me to mention that it not good to hold on to the board after the 2ed nail
I know what you'll do next. "Ya wanna go to the creek". He was asking the whole video. Lol.
You got that right. It’s hard to work. Everything in one video, L O L.
Metal would have been my 2 ed choice ❤
Thanks!
👍👍👍
Se verías chulisima con cristales por los lados ❤
Thanks!
🏴👍
Thanks!
Notice, wood from the big box stores is cut from the center of the tree. All you have to do is look at the end grain to see the center growth rings.
Yeah, we did that when we were shopping for the lumber. We picked out the best that they had but it was still questionable, L O L. I had no idea it would twist on me like it did.
Hey guys, work shop is looking great. However Richard, I’m just curious as to why you didn’t hue those two braces?
He didn't hue any of the braces. They all match. Thanks for following, friend! We appreciate you. -Jennifer
👍
Thanks!

Then you will like the Review Video on Wednesday. It’s about bees
