King's suit is amazing, I really like the color. Kazuma: Kazuma's outfit is how I would like to dress, an amazing worked body, packet in a custom made suit. I really think, that everyone needs to use at least once in life a custom suit and I will live until I acomplish my dream. Victor: look that sugar daddy, OMG!! Amazing suit Zafina: I think that tekken 7 outfit is incredible sexy, as you said, I almost can see, but not, and that is the secret to be sexy. But Tekken 8 outfit is more mistical. Azucena: is pronunced azu-ssssena, Z is pronunced like sss in spanish. 2° outfit is amazing I didnt see it before. Very cool. Nina: super sexy fem fatale. Eddy: last outfit is amazing, great color combination, it feels expensive. Great video my friend, you always makes me stop my job to see your content, great analysis. Thanks for your efforts
Really appreciate you sharing some detailed feedback on the various looks covered in the video. Thanks for being a consistent top supporter of the channel! 🙌🏽
5:57 Fun fact: Marshall Law's 3rd alternate costume that you reviewed is based on an actual look that Bruce Lee (the character he's based on) wore some time back in the 70's, which is why it looks so suave, sophisticated, and somewhat practical.
Bandai Namco should sell these coats and jackets. Whoever is designing these outfits is probably moonlighting as a fashion designer under a name brand. If not they should open a clothing line. I am obsessed with all of them.
Really talented artist working there you should check mari shimazaki she worked on reyna and jun outfit (maybe more) in this game. She also worked on all bayonneta’s design.
You know what, since the character customisation in Tekken is so good, it would be amazing to have an episode of viewer submitted outfits. Don’t know if it’s feasible, but I think it would be fun
I clicked on this video SO FAST~ 3D fighting games always had the advantage of having the ability to swap their character's whole outfits easier than 2D sprite fighters, which usually had palette swaps. So you could get such a better sense of who a character was by looking at their fighting gear and their alternative looks. I just LOVE your observations on these characters, absolutely SPOT ON with how luxurious some of these guys are off the clock haha. You have to be ready to fight anywhere, INCLUDING the catwalk. 😎
These are really nice. A lovely breath of fresh air compared to the usual despair over game balance. It's nice to see someone talk about Tekken aspects that many do notice, but don't often bother to discuss. Appreciate you. 🍷
Bro, just a request, make videos about the other 3D fighters like: -Virtua Fighter, the OG 3D fighter and how the designs can be improved while keeping the characters recognisable(like Akira Yuki has his generic white gi but his blue and red gi is more interesting and unique) -Soul Calibur: Tekken's younger brother, I say characters like Maxi and Ivy are drippy even for the 16th century lmao -Dead or Alive: Yes, it is controversial, but I can't, Helena's designs are FUCKING BEAUTIFUL, and Hitomi's fashion is a lot more realistic(like I can see a girl wearing her clothes ngl) Also a fashion I think it could be interesting: the Color theory from Breaking Bad, where some characters use similar outfit colors to match(Walter using yellow or white, Jesse wearing red, Skylar using blues, etc.)
The studded gloves that you really like are actually a reference to another great thing you covered: JoJo's Bizarre Adventure ! The stand Star Platinum wears the same gloves. There's actually been a few references to JoJo's since Tekken's debut back in 94 :)
One of my favourite things is the added detail to places people typically wouldn't be able to see unless you're using photo mode or the character customization. For instance, Dragunov (my main) currently in the story is on his long awaited holiday. It's the first time we see him outside of a formal, uniformed setting and they really had fun with it. Giving him skull and chain motifs here and there to invoke some sense of rebellious punk aesthetic (his concept art had some hairstyles that screamed emo kid. Hell, even his current hairstyle doesn't really say "typical cold army man"). His boots and gloves having a hint of red accents. THE CHAPLESS PANTS. The (tiger?) tooth along with razor necklace. And my my most favourite detail... a keychain with what seems like a lighter (very utilitarian), and some keys (apartment key/vehicle key? who knows) hanging from the back of his pants. All of this really sells the idea that he can be his most expressive outside of his work (he also never speaks but does like to hum to himself when he's being particularly cheery. Another thing they did to showcase this was to show one of his hobbies and it's model building 😂), and entirely just through visuals and no dialogue! Amazing and fun stuff!
19:08 I understand the color choice kinda threw you off, but your description of Drags outfit with like a Zombie/Mute feel is literally his personality in the game, and im happy you can tell just by the fit
My boy King was discriminated is because of his cat mask? Haha Great review of the fashion of Tekken 8 and you will get more fashion too look at because theres still many characters to be released and a ton of New outfits
This was a great introduction to your channel -- I'm a huge Tekken fan and I've always wanted someone to talk about the drip. Hearing some of these characters being called by their first names when I've been referring to them as Drag or Xiaoyu gave me MEGA whiplash lmao
13:10 interesting take, for me personally I think the black throw the outfit off a little, instead of looking at the shirt and leggings I’m drawn to the gloves and undies cause it looks “off” interesting take and fantastic video dude, just found your channel💪🏼💪🏼
Lots of these costumes have real world inspiration, like Law's costume being a nod to an outfit Bruce Lee actually wore, and Bryan's costume at 28:47 being based on Roy Batty's trench coat look from Blade Runner.
Really loved the video! I’ve always felt like all the design intricacies of the outfits are not appreciated enough, so it’s nice to see someone very knowledgeable like you delve into them with such passion! And I definitely wouldn’t mind seeing you rate these outfits! 😁
X this look is giving Eternity (SF6) being transported to Tekken and serving a bit more down to earth rugged - you ate, no crumbs. I definitely love Lee's formal suit and Zafina's base look is so darkly primal but refined. Clear favourites for me.
Man, I really need to catch up. With the crazy stuff I've heard of in Tekken, it's interesting to see what exactly goes on. From crazy family beef to random bouts of silliness, this was a fun vid. Thanks for the uploads, and happy holidays!
I always love hearing different arts and trades and how their functionalities meet in videogames to imply things about characters that you see explicitly later. I'm a musician so I notice it in the music, but I love having it pointed out in the designs, art, etc. Like, Dragunov having a bunch of soft aspects of his outfit kinda pointing to how he's depicted as both this cold assassin but also just a guy who like making models and doing little arts/crafts things like that. Or how Kazuya's outfit paints him as the main villain he is, or how the asymmetry of Devil Jin's looks point to how his role in the story is basically this twisted mirror of Jin. It's cool stuff
Leo and Victor are my favourites. Leo's main jacket is so stylish, and looks great on their slim frame. I want that jacket! Victor's suit is excellent too, and also grounded in reality; it really feels attainable if you have the money and want to steal the look.
You should review the Tekken 4 looks next, those ones in particular are fashion forward and designed to be more "normal fashion" than sci-fi inspired fighting game looks.
My favourite outfit in the whole game is definitely Leo's T6 outfit with the red and white jacket with the red scarf. He gives off such "Toku protagonist/Kamen Rider" inspired expressions and I love it.
Finally Tekken! But sadly no Lucky Chloe, who was my 2nd favorite character in T7 because I think she's not in T8. Lili (or Emilie in T8) has been my main since her debut in T6, she's just so fun. I think Jin is still my overall favorite character in the game, he definitely was, when I was a kid ^^ What I never really thought about but noticed in this video is, that Lars just has very stron Yu-Gi-Oh vibes xD Asuka is also one of my top favs and the 2nd outfit you showed of her in this vid is still my favorite of hers. And of course I can't forget my german homeboy Leo, who I also play a lot but also just love his design and most of his outfits. Oh and Lidia... and Kunimitsu (only in T7) and I think I could go on about Tekken Characters for too long because I just like a lot of them because everyone is just so unique and well designed, but I'll stop here. Great video, X!
You should totally do a fan submitted Custom Costume Tekken 8 fashion show. Lol. Cuz I definitely feel like I made some fashion icons for my costume creation.
Just a fun fact but Reina was designed by Bayonetta's artist as well; her grandma leopard outfit is very funny but nice lol. Love that you love Leroy as well, he is one of the best designed characters of all time. Lastly, yeah Jun looks like a lot like Chizuru lmao.
@XDF hey man Just curious and honestly think it would be a good vid to see, but would you ever do a video on the styles of batman villains. Like maybe even some more obscure villians or how youd style them or ranking iconic looks and so on? Sorta like the marvel hellfire gala vids. Love the vids btw keep up the great stuff✌️
i heard someone say that reinas jacket has two colors to show her two faced personality, i also like how leos androgyny is kept in their outfits then there is my boy dragunov, his outfits are simply based on his job but he in general seems to like to dress formal imo i also think azucenas second outfit is meant to show that she works as a model also to me ninas dress looks like she stole it from zafina, it looks more like her style to me, that wedding dress is annas actually too so it wouldnt feel far fetched
I always thought they went way overboard on the belts in Tekken 8 outfits. I think I counted some characters have upwards of like 13 belts, it seemed excessive! Reina and Asuka in particular. Steve is hanging loose belts off of his belts!
Great video man! I'm sorry to ruin Asuka's default for you... but imagine, in your head, her alongside Donald Duck. There you go, outfit ruined! >:) (Nah it still looks good, but it does have Donald Duck energy)
I love Tekken original outfits for the most part but their base customisation is fairly ugly.... Like other than some gems, they commit some of the tackiest design choices for shoes and trousers at times for their customisation separates, also the fact that some accessories cancels out some entire outfits is painful at times. They've always had some very eye catching fashions as the game progresses, you can see sort of fashion in video games through the Tekken installments
also what i love about Kazuya's outfit is that it's the same theme as his devil form. usually characthers that utilize thir transformation as their outfits are a bit tacky but Kazuya nailed it.
Amazing suit

Azucena: is pronunced azu-ssssena, Z is pronunced like sss in spanish. 2° outfit is amazing I didnt see it before. Very cool.
Nina: super sexy fem fatale.

I think you meant kazuya right? kappa
@@miyu8823 Jajaja you are right
who the hell is Kazuma?
@@NESLO-e8c He was already corrected - *Kazuya
Ever since Jin's flaming pants and King's T3 alt, Tekken has been absolutely at the forefront of fighting game fashion
Jins flaming pants, his T4 outfit, Lilis T6 alt outfit, Lee's T5 outfit...too cold
5:57 Fun fact: Marshall Law's 3rd alternate costume that you reviewed is based on an actual look that Bruce Lee (the character he's based on) wore some time back in the 70's, which is why it looks so suave, sophisticated, and somewhat practical.

if i knew anyone who could literally bring devil jin’s outfit to life for me to wear, i’d pay some very pretty pennies. i need that fit man.
@@KoaztalYT the feathers on the inside of the jacket is gonna run you a pretty penny I'd imagine
harada tweeted a few days ago that the Jin jacket would be too expensive to produce 😢
@@AlMujrimun too expensive my ass he has a multi million dollar franchise 💀 tekken mfs are just lazy as hell to do anything cool
I loved watching my brothers play these games as a child. Even now, I adore the fashion. Thank you so much for covering this X🧡
Thank you for the ST 🙏🏽 Glad you enjoyed the video - it's hard to resist gushing over these incredible fashion designs!
You would LOVE Anna Williams outfits from other Tekken games, she's not in 8 yet, but I'd love to hear your thoughts on them!
You know what, since the character customisation in Tekken is so good, it would be amazing to have an episode of viewer submitted outfits. Don’t know if it’s feasible, but I think it would be fun
I second this!
YES omg have X rank our Weirdest Fits
we need a pikmin outfit rating
I clicked on this video SO FAST~

I never realized it until now
I didn't expect that XDF is finally making Tekken 8 outfits! This video is serves!
called kings mask a helmet I cry, fell in love with victor he has
Excellent video, I really want to see the counter part, the outfits you disliked the most.
19:08 I understand the color choice kinda threw you off, but your description of Drags outfit with like a Zombie/Mute feel is literally his personality in the game, and im happy you can tell just by the fit
Sometimes I think the designers for characters in fighting games had a stint in fashion design.
Another awesome analysis and one of my fav games!
fighting games are usually inspired by JoJo, where the pinnacle of japanese fiction fashion is made
My boy King was discriminated is because of his cat mask? Haha

Anna Williams is coming back next year, so you can fiiiiiiinally do the Anna Williams fashion break down
A complete one I hope! From the "Marilyn Monroe" dress in her debut, to the pimp jackets later in her appearances. 😁💋
@ because that zebra skin jumpsuit is eveeeeerything

Let’s goooo i love Tekken 8 thank you for making a video about it
Reina’s hoodie so cool, I want one 💀💀💀

Leroy is the drip king in this game to me😂
When Anna comes out in the dlc her outfit will be top
I feel obligated to mention that Kazuya is canonically a sneakerhead. Those suits he wears definitely aren’t picked on a whim.
Can't have a British character in a fighting game without the Union Jack slapped on them.
sooo Good!
We need an update to this once Anna Williams come out.
Lidias 2P gi that has purple color is AMAZING
YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!

OMG FINALLY TEKKEN 8
I always thought they went way overboard on the belts in Tekken 8 outfits. I think I counted some characters have upwards of like 13 belts, it seemed excessive! Reina and Asuka in particular. Steve is hanging loose belts off of his belts!
I found your channel today, I´m watching all now!
One question: As a white man, can I use gold chain or is just for black men?
Anyone can - Leroy's just feels signature to black hip hop culture as a consistent element in his style
I would die for miss Alisa Tekken.
Great video man! I'm sorry to ruin Asuka's default for you... but imagine, in your head, her alongside Donald Duck.
There you go, outfit ruined! >:) (Nah it still looks good, but it does have Donald Duck energy)
im so seated for this
Have u played the game?? U can legit design character outfits in a crazy nuanced way
I’ve thought a lot about how it’s character customizer might be a fashion lovers playground
Why is there no Hwoarang outfit in Tekken 5 & 4
Nah the alternative outfit for King is cool and all but you ain't seen mine. :u

Woohoo!
33:30 Her name is Lili.
Actual name is "Emilie"...
In Leroy's trailer for Tekken 8 he is literally called 'The Grandmaster of Drip'.
