Dude I know people love the flamethrower but constantly getting set on fire is so annoying. You literally have to wear the flame resistant armor to use it but I'd much rather wear the gas armor and sit in a gas forcefield if I'm going to play the "I hurt you like I hurt me" game.
3:36 Sterilizer build. Main: Torcher Secondary: grenade pistol Armor: Any with fire resistance Grenade: stuns or thermite Strats 500 kg Railcannon (optional depending on difficulty) Ammo backpack (or guard dog but you gonna burn through ammo fast). Sterilizer. The idea is to suppress enemies and breaches with the sterilizer, switch over to torcher, burn them to death and then keep switching back and forth. This actually works quite damn well when you get the hang of it. However. I'm gonna argue that the build in this video with a crossbow, bad breath guard dog and a Flamethrower is gonna do the same job but better and give you more adaptability over all.
Its really funny seeing him constantly spray his feet as he dives, and being absolutely clueless as to how he keeps lighting himself on fire. You're just hitting yourself with it, man! Open your eyes!
Flamethrower with anti tank mines and jump pack is an experience. I was doing it at first just to live out my Titanfall 2 Scorch dream but I’ve never wanted to not use orbitals or eagles when i can square up against bile titans
When the drill breaks after the 50% mark it will always reset back to 50% after reactivation, also its better to shoot a Chargers face over its leg these days.
personally i prefer the heavy Salamander armor, you are fighting close range so more armor is nice to have, and its helps with the self inflicted fire damage. The halt Shotgun is really awesome and to finish the core build i go with the Gas Guard Dog. does a great job bamboozeling the bugs, you can go with a Jetpack instead too. rest is pretty much preference.
@@rogeliorodriguez8518 Seconded. My Salamander has been collecting dust for a while now. The speed trade off just doesnt feel adequate. Especially when youre trying to evade chargers
@@rogeliorodriguez8518 speed is a common argument against heavy or for light/medium armor, but its simply something you get use to, i go with heavy armor all the time, the speed is hardly an issue to me. I would even go as far to say the extra armor is simply better in most cases. Even with light armor you get shot, bitten, jumped, ragdolled or puked with vomit, you cant escape damage with just more stamina. and it depends on what weapons u use like always. if i plan to go with an Recoiless on a hot desert planet i rather go with something light aswell. but hey since alot of playes dont like to use heavy maybe there is a buff in some shape comming someday and i can be happy since i already like them^^
The sterilizer is viable. You just have to use the fact that it has a longer range than the flamethrower to your advantage and use it with the goal of blinding the enemy instead of damaging them. You still should be intent on killing them but prioritizing blinding over damage is what makes it good imo.
@ because it takes less time to blind an enemy than it does to kill them. 1 stun grenade will stop a charger in its tracks 1 thermite grenades will kill a charger, but it will not stop it
@@Peter-Slash A stun grenade will stop the charger, but it wont do anything to kill it, not to mention the duration is extremely short. soyou'll need to stun it and then kill it with another weapon. Vs the thermite which gives a GURANTEED and PERMANANT death if you stick even one to the body of any Charger variant, even behemoth. One grenade Vs one-two grenades and needing an anti-tank or magdumping the tail is a big difference.
I know we have a Friendly Fire Damage stat at the end of the mission, but I would love a separate "Damage Taken" stat, I'd imagine it would be interesting to see how much dot damage you took on this mission with all the fire and gas.

I don't normally join other lobbies mainly because I'm either doing some testing or just recording a solo video. I don't mind playing with others at all so whenever you see I have an open lobby or have it set to friends only feel free to jump in :)
Crossbow is a beast but i just dont have fun playing with it, its not as satisfying as landing a headshot with AMR or melting hordes of bugs with a machine gun. I have been having fun wtih cookout, recoiless rifle and loyalist (plasma handgun). Loyalist charged shots are great for medium enemies like spewers or commanders.
I have been absolutely annihilating diff 10 with heavy fireproof armor and supply pack/flamethrower. Infinite stims means you can wade through fire stratagems with zero issue, it’s even more bonkers with another player to handle bile titans
Definitely need the shield and/or the fireresist armor. Its very easy to catch fire lately...not sure if related to the weapons or the flaming hunters tagging you with it.
great video i loved it , also when are you live ?
Usally around 10:00Pm - EST :)
@ ok thx
What if
you wanted to run flamethrower
but Joel said
"Bile Spewers"
I like my bugs medium rare
I like mines well done, the tough meat reminds me of the useless resistance of the bugs before inevitable consumption.
I like when they turn to dust
Medium well is the best

thx for releasing the video because i was in the live but i got to sleep just before this game.

Personally I don’t think heavy armor is the way to go with bugs. You need speed if you have to run.

Gas Resistant Armor make you invulnerable to gas believe me i’ve tried it and it worked
Nice video. What do you think of the Torcher vs Flamethrower? I know the latter has nearly 2x damage, but is it really noticeable?
Shield pack, sentry, and flamethrower is great, you can stand on the sentry
I'd recommend trying out the 120 barrage as it deals with medium and below nest without you having to worry about it.
He doesn't know about the Sterilizer yet :)

I don't know why but I've felt like the flamethrower hasn't been the same since the nerf then revert. Something has always been off when I use it

Why not just use the torcher qausar and supply pack so you have anti tank?

It's the enemies tagging you, but also hitboxes being totally shit.
Backing away or sidestepping is key.
You have Fear for Bots😂😂
I think you need to increase your FOV even higher.
