ALAN MCKEE ROW that’s strange..... it should easily go up all the way. You may be able to do an update.

Thank you for bringing back the full sound experience Eric. Will give this workout a go tonight! When you talk about intensity at this lowish rate, what should I be aiming for? UT1? I get the idea that the only perceived difference between rates is the pace but not so much the 'felt' intensity. However at 20 I am usually cruising and sightseeing. This workout seems to tell me I should be upping the work while keeping the rate low. I'll give it a go regardless.

Harmen Dijkstra UT1 is above 85% max HR. UT2 is your 75-85% max. So should be producing 2mmol lactate at this level. Anything up to about 26 rate you can stay within th 2-3mmol range. After that you are into your UT1 range.

@@ericmurray-kiwipairindoorr2302 Alright. So I aim for 80ish for the first three and then through residual fatigue go up to wherever I can take it in the last one, as long as I keep it controlled. Thanks.

      I don’t have a HR monitor, if I’m 143lbs 5’7” with a 7:08 2k/1:54 5k, around what splits would you recommend?

@@ericmurray-kiwipairindoorr2302 Just finished this little monster of a workout. Thank you for improving the audio recording, this is magnitudes better to follow along. It is a monster because as I said, rate 20 is movie watch mode, usually. Chugging back and forth for an hour and hoping not get bored too much. Your trick is that you at first make it seem entirely doable like: "what is he talking about, is this it, hahaha!" and then the last 5 minutes I am almost crying. So yes, very addictive and really helping my fitness improve. Hope to see you in the 8 btw!

Thankyou for the videos, they have taught me alot...long may they continue!
Is there any benefit to focusing on low ratings with high power outputs for longer periods, r16/18/20....like the 30r20 workout. Or is it better to use something like power 10's? Really trying to build my power.
