Excellent Nate - thanks very much for breaking this down; that is so interesting about the relaxed/ready position being weighted towards the left ... it seems so natural now. Also, that's a great drill to finish with... thanks much for focusing on the one-handed BH volley. Cheers

Excellent breakdown, not so make coaches have this insight, going piece by piece, those little things are important to learn too, you are very observant.

Thanks for the advice about locking the wrist, mine felt so weak against a hard ball but I now know from yr vid my wrist position was wrong.

I’ve always found my forehand volleys harder to execute, I feel like how I learned to slice also helped me backhand volley, thoughts?

Munchi munch totally agree, the forehand operates without parameters due to the arms ability to pull too far back. The backhand being across the body has “built in” parameters to assist it. Learning to slice is essential in order to establish strong fundamentals on the volley! Solid insights, thanks for sharing!
