My first and only model railway when I was about 7 years old in 1964, was a Hornby Dublo Cardiff Castle loco with two or three coaches, a circuit of track, a metal section of track and ballast with an uncoupler, a point, a siding and a heavy, cast iron transformer. It was the bee's knees! Loved it.
It's incredible when you compare how these locomotives look nowadays with how they did in the last days they were in Barry scrapyard.. barely being held together by rust. The preservationists deserve all the credit in the world
Nice vid. Great shot at Newton Abbot.... especially good treat for STEAM enthusiasts..... by keeping on filming after the 5029 had powered through, so that we could enjoy the bark of her exhaust as she ripped round that curve and powered her train off into the distance.…☁☁☁⁘⁙☁☁⁙..☁……Hᴜɢʜ….Lɪᴋᴇᴅ…..ツ
None of my videos contain adverts, but I don't think it would hurt in the least if I provide the link for how to order a book I've co-written. After all, steam fans might also be fans of The John Barry Seven! :) johnbarry.org.uk/johnbarryseven/

Looked great and that castle bark , stunning 💞 scenery , and no diesel engine attached to the rear? Smashing? Thanks 👍 for sharing 😊.
