Hi mate, the atmosphere is the same, great friendly crowd, but I’d say the racing might be a bit more competitive, there is no grading of classes, so you can be mixed in with a lot of pros, there were 118 over 50s for qualifying so that class was the only one where the riders were split into groups on times, some of the EVO classes were all abilities with the likes of Brown, Nichol and a host of gp riders mixed in with everyone

I rode there in 96 but they cut out the big hill and the down hill steps. I went out early to take a look and, boy, that hill is ruddy steep!
