Becky - love the way you "break it down" for us. I've been embroidering for a while, but I always learn something new every time I watch one of your videos. Thanks for doing these tutorials and I hope you continue to do them for years to come 😀
These videos on this DBJJ project are so great because they show us step by step. I appreciate it very much. I will be watching these several times to get all of the steps straight in my head!
I have learned so much from your videos….and spent so much for designs to try and better tools! 🤣 All worth it though 💕 Thanks for all your time putting these videos together for us.
the Trimmer by George looks amazing, I'm going to have to order that cause I end up cutting into my material all the time. Thanks Becky you're always so much so much help.
Thank you. What a brilliant video in which I learnt so much, but unfortunately I cannot get the 'George 2.0' trimmer over here in the U.K! I also liked the way you carefully showed how we are able to make SVG files using Embrilliance, magic.
Don't feel bad; the Trimmer by George isn't available here in the US either! They have a new TBG 3.0 on order and of course, its taking forever to get in stock. Ugh.
Thank you. I love this design and your videos to help guide me. I will try my “older” SNC, and for sure will check out the ruler. It would have helped me so much when making mug rugs at Christmas.
I really appreciate these videos. I have almost given up embroidery as some of my larger projects are coming out wrinkled when I take them from the hoop. No amount of ironing seems to help. I haven’t bought this placemat set, but I do have others by Juju. You have inspired me to try again. BTW, I have a horrible time hooping, even after a few years of using my machine. I cannot seem to center the fabric within the hoop. Still working on it, and have gotten a little better, but it takes me almost as long to get fabric hooped as it does to stitch out the design. Again, thanks for all your tutorials.
You might try floating your project then instead of doing traditional hooping. Or you might consider a magnetic hoop which allows you to tug slightly to make tiny changes once the top hoop is on. DIME's hoop mat makes a world of difference to find center as well. It's probaby my favority centering tool I have.
Great video. Designs by Juju have cute designs. I'm new to all this I bought the bunny placemat from designs by juju. I watched video on how to download patterns to a usb stick and printed the directions. Wow that was a lot of pages. In your video you have the directions on your tablet. Yes, I want to do that may I ask how you did that please. I didn't see a video on how you did that. I have a desktop computer that the files are on in a different room but I want the directions on my ipad so I can take it to the embroidery machine. Thank you so much for any and all your help.
Hoop size: does it determine the size of the end product. I have a brother 770 and the largest size is 5x7 hoop. Does that make the placement smaller than using a 6x10?
What computer system do you have that you can use the scan and cut and Luminarie sewing machine with canvas workspace and allow them to communicate with each other? Does it have to be on PC or laptop or can you use a tablet?
@@PowerToolsWithThread ✅ thank you so much! I have the same machine and scan n cut like yours. I love the way you teach and guide us on this channel. Thank you for responding to my question.
When I looked on Hoop Sister’s store, the only George2.0 available are “second quality” because George3.0 is coming out soon. What do you recommend? Do you know what the difference is and should I wait and get 3.0?
@@PowerToolsWithThread i reached out to contact them at HoopSisters to ask about the new tool but have not heard back. I don’t want to order both so will have to decide which one will benefit me most. I wish I had found this sooner. It looks like this is a game changer for trimming the batting so you don’t get batting sewn into the seam when you join the blocks. This was always an issue for me. No matter how careful I would cut, there always seemed to be places where I didn’t get close enough and batting ended up in the seam. UGH! I also have blocks that I never trimmed up to complete a project because I hated trying to cut them close and even. Thanks for sharing this product! So helpful, I’m sure!
I get them from Designs in Machine Embroidery. It's the best way to make sure I have quality bobbin thread. www.shop.dzgns.com/collections/bobbins?p=S1z1p1FgS

I love my Trimmer by George it is a lifesaver

Great demonstration and I would have never learned about batting having pimples if I didn't watch this.

Appreciated the reminder for making sure you address opaqueness…. A cute design could be a fail otherwise.
That was really cool. Thank you for sharing this.

Appreciate all the tips for making this. I just ordered the trimmer by George... Thanks Becky!!
Such a cute project

starting to work on my placemat, so confused on thread colors. I found and purchased the same material you are using.
You can choose whatever color you think will show up nicely. Your choice!!
DOES THIS PLACEMAT HAVE A POTHOLDER TO GO WITH IT?😊😊😊😊

For all of those to work together, you can use either a PC or a Mac, and they all need to be on the same home network.

I wasn't aware they were making a different ruler. I'll have to check that out.

What pre-wound bobbins do you purchase from Amazon?
