- So this is 'DreamPeace Week' I think...
Dreampeace is a project I have been working on consistently for years. Over the next week, Ill re-release 5 full 'albums' (its not really music, per se...) with the intent of drawing some more attention to it.
Ive turned off monetization on this so hopefully it isn't interrupted by a bunch of shitty ads. Dont know if it will work though...
Its vibes that act as a soundtrack to your day. Its meant for time where everything is 'too much'... its not meant to ask much from you, so if youre going through pain or cant sleep, maybe it will be of some help?
Frankly: the impossible scale of the universe often reminds me how silly it is to try to be 'successful' or any of that stuff... we're here for such a short period of time, I just love making sounds that express my gratitude, regardless of style. Dreampeace is just another example of that.
This first one here is called 'Dawn Shifter' and I tend to use it when Im travelling and am in strange hotel rooms. Its a bit 'darker' in tone than some of the others, but I'm putting it up first because its the one Ive had on rotation recently. Some of the others work better for me when the weather is different than it is now =)
I have 4 more in the works, so Ill let you know when they're done...Eventually Ill release them all as cool vinyls, but Ive got lots to do in the meantime so for the time being, here it is.

I have PTSD and suffer from night-terrors, I'm medicated for this but the medication isn't a cure. Nothing is. Your ambient work has been a literal lifesaver for me though. After an episode or if I'm feeling particularly scared to go to bed I put your ambient work on and it helps me feel grounded, I can feel the love you put into each piece. Your music is a safety-line for me. Sorry if this is oversharing but I just want you to know your music is such a blessing and comfort (to so many). Thank you ✌️

Devin is probably used to it. I've done it a few times. What can we say, it's a big thing, but it is what it is and he does what he does, what is made by him and his team has been impacting us for years, saving and guiding and validating our lives. He's my favourite, and one of gods i bet. I get grounded by it too. Terria has been grounding me lately and bringing me back to a type of self that's got alot of dirt and anger on and around it. He's a great man, thank god he does all this, that first quarantine song, came right on my 40tg birthday. It was magical after the covid crap was put on it. So moving. So perfect and beautiful, and so telling.
I want to smell him one day lol o told him that once, well wrote it, when he came to Melbourne in 2019 I think it was. He laughed, said he was stinking pretty bad. It's just a think of mine, smelling things.... Hahahah of course this is courage, vulnerability, and gratitude as well as a great share about a great man, doing great things for mankind. Seemingly small to some. But creating such sounds to sooth, validate, ground and enliven, well it's ever so transforming and needed and he is heavenly. And I'm sure very very human. Love him. What he shares of himself anyway.... My life was changed by him, and will ever be so, thank God. Coz there's not much else I can trust and let in right now. May I find a similar man to share some life with on this earth. Blessings to him and all and you 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏

my walks to not kill my self and stay in the present are only because i have this in my headphones.... my mental health is at a crossroads and the fight gets way to difficult sometimes so to have a extra bit of help to motivate or clearance of terrible bullshit that seems to enter my head. Thank you Devin for this work and releasing it so others can find there own inner peace...

There's a german ambient duo called Troum. Their music is darker than this type of ambient, but it's incredibly beautiful. Their music has helped me in darkness, and in creativity, for a long time now.
What the fuck is wrong with us? Why are there so many of us wanting to die? I'm genuinely confused about it, yet i think about it every day

Devin mentioned on his update video that Dreampeace was specifically made for trauma sufferers in mind as "music that doesn't demand anything from the listener", so it's possible having the ebbs & flows of the ambience interrupted every 5 minute with a Bounty paper towel advertisement doesn't fit into that vision.
Devin strikes me as the kind of person who is not financially motivated when it comes to creating.
Considering lately I've been wanting some ambient stuff to fall asleep too, and most of them I've found get interrupted by ads, I'm very grateful that these aren't monetized.

Devin, I am terrified beyond rational though to fly, but was able to make it very recently to Hawaii and back greatly in part to listening to my flight mix which is pretty much Sober/Quarantine Project 1-9 on repeat. Thank you and this will now officially be added to my flight mix. Umbasa.

I honestly love these soundscapes you are releasing. Just like Snuggles they offer this music hug that comforts me when I don't want to listen to insane guitar solos, screaming vocals and drums getting the shit beat out of them.

I always loved the slowly shifting soundscapes of the guitar improv series (particularly no 3) this sounds like you've built on that and it's haunting yet absolutely overwhelming. Centres my thoughts beautifully.
Just listened to this whilst cleaning my lounge and it brought all sorts of ideas flowing forward. Also made me want to write my own ambience so thanks for the lovely sound and inspiration.
I absolutely love Dev and rediscovering his stuff a few years ago has got me into making music again. I now play in Open C almost exclusively lol. His growth through heavy angry music to this is astonishing. Anything you create Dev, I’ll be here to listen. Heavy Devy started out being for heavy brutal music. But now “heavy” could mean the emotional place it’s coming from. Rock on Dev 🤙

Thanks a million Devin. I will try to have this on in the nights and see if it will be soothing to my tinnitus. Growing older seems to getting it more severe and lately it have been so bad I'm waking up from it. I sincerely hope this track will be harmonizing well with it and letting me sleep through the nights again.
"Too much" Watched my Dad die and my step Mom... and the dog. Have to move now and start over with an uncertain fate. This does kind of work. May need additional applications.
