    I just bought 100ml of Oud Wood for $200 (big sale), and a 50ml of Carved Wood cost me exactly the same. IMO, they are different enough that having both isn't redundant.

      I can't disagree with that fam I have both also and I'm well pleased

    Yeah, Carved Oud is a dupe of Oud Wood. Also, Noorolain Taif by Thameen is a dupe of Creed's Royal Oud. They're both extraits. Keep up the great content bro!

    That it it sir, I think name recognition goes a long way. Thus, Tom Ford Oud Wood is a staple for many parfume enthusiasts.
    Moreover, a lot of people look down on Dupes, as they see clones as the 304 of colognes. I say a nice 304 is needed at times.
    Nice video.

    Glad you enjoyed the Carved Oud by Thameen. Now, try their new scent; "Chords". Also try Chris Collins "African Rooibos". I think you'll be quite surprised.

    I definitely prefer Carved Oud, but it’s ripping’ expensive. Since purchasing the Carved Oud decant, I’ve purchased versions from Barouj Lamasat and Zaffiro Crafted Oud. Not quite enough longevity from either of them.

    Carved Oud is definitely on my list, I used to work for Al-Jazeera and one of my colleagues loves it.
    Brother, please tell me you know of The Moon by Frederic Malle. It's the greatest fragrance I've ever experienced, a true masterpiece. Sweet Dark Oud.

    Szchaun pepper is more aromatic and has a citrus smell and flavor to it I cook with it now and then pink pepper has a spicy earthy smell to it when I cook with that.

    Mr. sir, I told you so. OUD WOOD Who???? Thameen's CRAVED OUD is the OUD WOOD that OUD WOOD should have been. No offense, but I think that OUD WOOD is for beginners, while CARVED OUD is for the connoisseur.
    By the way, if you like Amouage Jubilation 25, might I recommend a 100% upgrade to Fragrance Dubois's New York Intense. ( Oh yea, I gave the JUB 25 to my nephew as well)
    Well done sir. Your interpretation was spot on. And like always, stay authentic and you will go far.

    In my opinion there is no way Carved Oud would be able to outshine TF Oud Wood. Pretty much due to name sake. In fragcom, we know what the deal is and which one is the better performer. But for the regular consumer bragging rights to say they own it and originality of the scent, TF's Oud Wood will always reign. I also think what kills this possibility of Carved Oud being pushed is as long as people keep saying its a dupe of Oud Wood, people will think just that and go for a cheaper selection like Oakcha's Oud Wood rendition, ALT Fragrances or even Dua. The average designer fragrance consumer won't spend a premium of $220 for a scent that smells like something else when they can pay a little extra for the real thing and have those bragging rights. I personally don't agree with that sentiment. Oud Wood last a mere hour or so on me. I HATE it's performance. I would choose Thameen all day long.

      @SUITSANDSCENTS  Год назад +2

      With TF oud wood you have to over spray or replenish at some point

      @@SUITSANDSCENTS Yeah man...and I hate that. I have to do it way too soon over my other fragrances. With my PDM's I am good for a while. Or even my middle eastern fragrances like the house of "The Spirit of Dubai". I really dislike light fragrances.

    I don't think Carved Oud is as known as Oud Wood because it's a niche brand. Tom Ford is a designer brand and everyone knows the brand. Only frag heads know about Thameen.
