Her beauty of sound is unmatched - the greatest voice in recording history.
Amen!!!!!🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾💯💯💯💯
That live performance Aretha did of this song was and is mindblowing to say the least . It floored me !
Aretha is the ABSOLUTE BEST. PERIOD....no argument. Timeless 💜
She definitely has some bangers and beautiful songs from her Colombia years! Undoubtedly the G.O.A.T. 🐐👑💯 You would love her 1993 performance of “I Never Loved a Man” 😮💨🔥🔥
There certain performances that transcend time. The Queen of Soul happens to have MANY and THIS ONE certainly is. There are singers than there’s ARETHA!
What can be better than soul music? The queen singing. Or someone singing like her.
Queen of Soul!! This reminds me of her songs Running out of fools. I love Aretha rare songs. They really pull at your heart.
Perfection, the Queen from the beginning!
Thanks to my dad, I have been an Aretha fan since I could remember. And I remember for my 13th birthday I said I just need an Aretha album for my birthday that year. And I got it. She is my icon, my legend, my Queen. Her music has just inspired everything since I heard her as a child. When she passed.. I mean, I still haven’t recovered. Her music changed my life.
The best voice, and she uses it so well.
I’m a total Aretha fan boy and, before RUclips, never heard this.
I fell in love with music when i first heard Aretha when I was about 9 years old - i would love to hear Ren sing this in his own way like he does
Awsome no wonder she holds that acclaimed position as the greatest female vocalist.the music industry would not be the same for those great divas that followed her.👏👑
I hope you have the opportunity to see her performance of Nessum Dorma, when she filled in for Luciano Pavarotti. After that operatic performance Pavarotti asked her to join him on a tour. Nothing more needs to be said. R.I. P. Queen. 🙏❤️
Grew up hearing her in her prime ❤️
gorgeous
you gotta understand that at the time of that live performance we hadn't heard anything like her - she was light years ahead of anybody at that time - and still is IMHO
Hey Brother, that was the first time I heard her when I was 14, I'm 71 now. She hooked me with that song.
This is when Aretha Franklin was with Columbia Records. I have this record. But, Columbia Records didn't know what to do with her. Oh baby, Aretha Franklin can sing.
She has an awesome amount of power in her voice. In other genres, say classical others would be considered as good.
Aretha best singer, male or female.
The Queen 🤴 goat 🐐
Aretha is probably the best singer of all time... Vanessa Amorosi is the only person with the same sort of capability vocal but Vanessa for me.... Aretha has the soul, everything just rolls off her tongue. The only female singers I can think of with that level or natural soul are Patsy Cline, and Maybe Whitney.
Nobody matches her raw vocals ever dead or alive . Aretha loves live instruments and orchestra as it should be .not a drum machine or mixer nothing unreal ,
She is the queen of soul but the songstress Anita Baker she is on a different level.
He's live now on Twitch, come join the fun :)
Anita would laugh at whatever it is you’re trying to suggest.
Anita had a distinct and beautiful voice, gorgeous delivery etc.., but the overall sound and voice cannot compare to Franklin's voice.
Lordy there's no way you can put Aretha over Tina or Patti. Bless y'all grasshoppers.
Stay off the drugs - nut.
I didn't have to do anything, ever single journalist. Has her number 1 on the list
Only those with hearing issues could even put Turner and Labelle in the same sentence as Franklin. They are legendary entertainers and Patti's huge soprano is dramatic to say the least - but when it comes to voice quality and beauty of tone and agility Aretha has no rival - her sound is unmatched.
Me after I get a lobotomy
Yes, there is a way I put Aretha over Tina and Patti(and every one else, for that matter)!!! Why? Because Aretha is the G.O.A.T, IMO! And because no one can touch her talent and abilities and it's HIGHLY UNLIKELY, that there'll ever be another like Aretha, for so many reasons and on so many levels!!
