So glad to see you back. I joined your channel right after your school went in to shut down mode and have literally watched all your videos - some of them more than once. I really enjoy them. Hope you will continue to post often. There is always something to learn.
Nice! Real nice! I’m working with an old crew that only believes in wet removal of wax, using stripper and mopping up the stuff. Along with using a wet vacuum. Lots of work as you know. I have asked them to try the square scrub method… no way they said. 🫤 honestly I would love to try it. I think it would be much better.
@MountainDew-c3v we used it every year this is a 2000 student elementary school. We did a good chemical strip from the start. And nothing but square scrub for years 3 coats off 3 on. Have had amazing results. No yellowing or build up.
Thanks. We have a college in the next town over. I would love to get on there. They just don’t hire full timers anymore. I have friends that got on there years ago. They make a lot more money that I do.
Two things I noticed , one you are using what looks like a cotton mop head that will leave cotton fuzz in wax , and two poor rinsed out floors with visible mop steaks and debris before laying your wax . For personal experience after stripping floors and letting dry , I vacuum the entire floor with a back pack vacuum making sure that nothing is on the them before applying wax .
Dumb question, what do you mean by taking 3 coats off and 3 coats on. Is that running the square machine three times and then mopping three coats on? Sorry new to this.
Job security as in if it get scuff marks and what ever. They need you to do the job. If stuff never got messed up they would need us. So I call it job security.
The machine I use takes the wax off the base boards. I don’t wax base boards all the way up. Just the part next to the floor. Nothing more ugly than yellowed base boards.
Around 2000 if it’s class rooms even more on open halls. Take in factor that some people don’t move as fast as others. I really have to slow myself down with square. I can get in the grove and be to fast for it to remove wax like it should.
................................................................ No. Try this next time you have a lot of build up wax. Just put the stripper down and turn right back around and pick it up. Do That 3 times. After that you can put stripper down and wait 5 minutes. Putting stripper down and waiting 5 minutes is how you get that Gummy Snot that is hard to work with and you will bust your butt on the floor. Trust me I know what I am talking about did this for 10 year. Every time I start to strip I start picking it up right away the first 3 times I put stripper down, after that you can wait if you want too, I never do. I strip all the way down to the bottom usually it take 4 to 5 coats of stripper. Clean the floor really will with water at least 3 times and let it dry before waxing. I always put down 8 coats of wax. ...........................................................
Just came across your video, great work floors be looking extremely WET! My question to you is is what pads did you use on the square machine ? And what do you recommend as good stripping pads?
Well done!! I’m a custodian at the postal plant in Nashville. We are re doing the offices. You definitely gave me some great tips. 😃👍

Oh man! I just wax and stripped a 3000 sq ft medical building. It took 27 hrs!!! I’m dead tired! Nice video!!!🤕
How much? You have your own business? I have a medical facilty 10,500 sq ft lol
@robvett8584 no I work for a community collage. That vid was when I worked in a school system.
Looks great! Thanks for the video. Very informative.
Glad you are getting some days off, enjoy your vacation.
Thank you!
This is my first summer clean-up and waxing by far the funniest thin to do.
We placed a plastic bag over the mop bucket then add the wax saves u time at the end when comes down to clean up
I do that also. I absolutely forgot it. I was like I forgot to put a bag in my bucket.
I used a square machine just inundated the floor with water took two hours to strip than I tried dry, and it went quick.
Sure does look good! I hope you enjoyed vacation
Thanks! I did and will.
Bring more videos , love that
You should look into simix sealer. You won’t have to strip and wax ever again

Hey, Jeff, I like the video and what kind of waxing you use!!??
Spartan on and on.
Thank you, Mr. Jeff!!
Dumb question, what do you mean by taking 3 coats off and 3 coats on. Is that running the square machine three times and then mopping three coats on? Sorry new to this.
No dumb questions here. The square will take anywhere from 2 or 3 coats of wax off in one pass. Then apply 3 fresh coats of wax.
Hi Mr. Jeff, Have you ever used the square machine with marron pad but no water on the floor?
Yes all I’ve done for the last 8 years.
Why you didn't apply neutralizer?
There was no ph level change in floor. Just using water and 3m pad. That’s what’s awesome about chemical free floor stripping.
What kind of wax do you prefer for a high shine?
I will be answering that question in today’s video for ya.
How long does it take the wax to dry?
In normal cases 30 minutes. I always give mine 1 hour. I like to set air down to about 68 degrees.
I waxed and stripped my medical facility. A 3000 sq. Ft building. Oh man! It took me 27 hrs to move furniture, strip, and wax! I’m dead tired🤕🤕🤕🤦🏼♀️
Did you wet strip or use a square machine?
The school i work at has these same exact floors....and the sneaker scuff marks are a NIGHTMARE every damn night!!!😓

Floors look great but one issue...why did you wax the baseboards?
Are you stripping the baseboards as well?
Going into my 34th year...
The machine I use takes the wax off the base boards. I don’t wax base boards all the way up. Just the part next to the floor. Nothing more ugly than yellowed base boards.
How often do you have to wax that floor once a year?? Also do you buff it aa day after??
Yes when I worked in school once a year. Yes we did burn it in with buffer.
@@mrjeffthecustodian any tips to clean corners & edges ?
Doodle bug.
Hello sir, do you use the square machine to buff too? And what color pads do you use! Thanks
No I use a high speed burnisher. I like aqua blue or hog hair pads.
Do you ever wax your trazzel?
How many square feet can you do per hour scrubbing with the square machine and following up with the auto scrubber?
Around 2000 if it’s class rooms even more on open halls. Take in factor that some people don’t move as fast as others. I really have to slow myself down with square. I can get in the grove and be to fast for it to remove wax like it should.
