I was an 80’s kid - the youngest of four. My parents thought it would be fun to take us to see this movie in the theater because it was rated PG. PG!! My parents next move was to buy me a night light so that I could sleep at night. Gotta love the 80’s!! Great vlog, Jordan!
Debo Jones Lol, yea, I bet you did need a nightlight after seeing this movie, especially since you were a kid then!! I was an 80's kid too!!! I miss those good ole days, nothing like the 80's in my opinion so I'm so happy to have grown up in that era!!! I actually remember how they used to rate movies with a lesser rating than maybe they should have, you'd think they would have atleast given it a PG-13 rating ha!
Lori Love: Seriously! My son is just about the age I was when I first saw this movie and I won’t let him watch it yet. The PG rating is misleading. The clown scene...stuff of nightmares!
Yes good move parents!
I miss the 80’s 😞 they were the BEST!
My parents did that with us with Close Encounters. I was good until them aliens came off that ship. I pooped my pants and refused to sleep in my bed that night. Then my oldest brother had to come into my room sometimes and bring his USS Enterprise model and pretend to fly it while laying next to me to protect his little sister from aliens. He was old enough to know it was all Hollywood movie magic but I wasn’t.
I loved this movie and at the time I thought the special effects were so good. So many rumors came from this movie and how everything was cursed. It added to movie's desire to watch it.
So fun to see the House is still the same after all these years. Great movie.
Sherry Graham I know, that's just one of the things I like about it that they seemed to try to keep it looking the same after all these years!!! Love the 80's & miss those days but atleast we can go back to them in these incredible movies!!! Poltergeist is one of my all time favs!!!
Poltergeist is one of the movies I’ve always really enjoyed- thanks for taking us Jordan!
This is why I LOVE your vlogs. You go to places that I will never get to go and see. Thanks Jordan!!!
Peace to you!!
One of my favorite movies of all time
Tobe Hooper also directed the 1979 TV movie 'Salem's Lot with David Soul....one of the scariest vampire movies (in my opinion) ever made!!!!! James Karen was born in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania (my neck of the woods)!!!!
Salem lot ,was great!!!!!!!🇬🇧☺
SL! 👌👍
You do excellent work!!
Industrial Light and Magic made an exact replica of that house compete with all the shrubbery and furnishings at a small scale. They attached a power vacuum to it's base to destroy it from the ground up. It worked, up to a point, but when the final remains didn't collapse into the vacuum chamber, they blasted them with a shotgun. They filmed it and high speed to slow it down in the movie.
Interesting I like a bit of back story to the movie, thanks for the information.
One of my all time fav movies, I first saw it back in 83/84. Great vlog, Jordan.
I used to live on the other side of Tapo st. in Simi where this was filmed and went to watch them film.
AWESOME! I saw that movie twice! It was a great summer! Btw, I sent you the Hollywood book with a thank you note attached but I guess it was misplaced in the packing process. // Last nights livestream was a momentous event reminiscent of the Rat Pack in Vegas! You all are celebrities on your own right and when you all get together, its "Chaos and Mayhem in Hollywood!" I couldn't miss this opportunity and had to join in! Tell Adam I've got him covered in the next round!
Zelda Rubenstein was perfectly cast as the Psychic in the Poltergeist movies.
A H She sure was, totally agree with you!!!
yep .I totally agree. absolutly brilliant actress.☺
yes thats so true
I’m surprised he didn’t mention her in this.Clearly a starring presence!
Interesting....nice live stream last night. Growing up in the midwest I always thought the neighborhood in a valley was so cool but ominous.
WOW!! 2 great vlogs in a row!! Thanks SO much, Jordan!! That was great. Brought back lots of childhood memories!!
+Farley Rezendes thanks!
Beautiful house, beautiful area. One hell of a classic great film from my childhood.
"First gated community"! I laughed out loud! 😎
I am so glad you did not show any of that movie! When it first came out my boyfriend at the time took me to see it. It scared the crap out of me and I could not sleep as I kept watching for his closet to light up!
So weird...i was just thinking earlier if Jordan has ever seen the poltergeist house...tada! The garage doors and the driveway are different. Crap this movie is as old as me...the houses look like they have withstood 36 years better than me lol
Great video. Very interesting. I thought it was funny last night that those guys were in the middle of the street and the cops pull up and they do nothing but watch was going on. Guess the didn't care enough to get out of their car. Hope you weren't up too late getting the vlog up and running. Thanks for all you do. Channel is up to 8.6k
Great video. That house is iconic and that neighborhood is gorgeous, been there many times.
I always enjoy your adventures when you include Breck (?). You guys know how to enjoy yourselves. Thanks once again Jordan. Great vlog.
I still have dreams about that freakin clown!
I'm watching this movie now I'm glad you did it ! thank you Jordan! You are the best!

Such an informative vlog..I love this kind of stuff.
Excellent video glad to see you're keeping up the good work take care
Heeeeey!!! Hello to the Carpetbagger!!!!!! This was a great video! I went to school with Heather, when she lived in Big Bear with her family. The day after she passed, we had grief counselors at our school. It was a very somber day for us all. Heather was such a sweet girl.
Hello, my name is Ethan Aaron Banks, and I am a journalism student based in Sunderland, England, UK. I would like to speak to you about this. If you are happy to talk to me, please get in touch. All the best!
Oh wow , glad I watched this vlog ! My husband teases and tries to scare our grandkids . He'll knock on the wall or something like that and ask the grandkids .... did you hear that ? It's a Poltergeist....!! lol !! The other day he was teasing our grandsons that's 3 . He was holding his arms out telling him he was going to get him , because he was a zobie ...! Our little grandson is running and laughing and he jumped in my lap and said .. Granny , pawpaw gone get me ...hims a ZABA....a ZAMA ...!! lol !! 😂 My husband even teased our kids about the Poltergeist as well . I had to share this with my husband . He just laughed !! I always liked that movie though . It's such a beautiful neighborhood too !! Thanks Jordan for sharing this great vlog !!
Interesting vlog. Thanks for sharing.
Another great video thank you for uploading
Love that movie ....it would be neat if you did a vlog on Dominique Dunne and the site where she was murdered ..8723 Rangely Ave West Hollywood...just throwing that out there!😀😀
Still love that movie! Great video.
James Karen, recently passed away @ 94 - October 23, 2018
Great video. It still in my mind is one of the scariest movies I've ever seen.
You put so much work into your clogs I love and appreciate it. Thank you
That movie scares the heck out of me, great Vlog!!!
Dirk Blocker was the guy on the bike with the beer.......he is the son of Dan Blocker (Hoss Cartwright of Bonanza....just an FYI)!!!!!!
timetraveler 71 no way!
Excellent video! Such an iconic house x Just watched your blog about poor little Heather too x new sub! Xx
So amazing! Great one.
Good video :)

Dirk Blocker Dan Blocker son played the guy on the bike
Delaine Embree Oh wow!! I didn't even realize that!!! Thanks for mentioning he was the one on the bike!!! Gonna watch the part with him over again to pay closer attention!
Who’s Dan Blocker?
Oh my God, I thought he looked like Dan Blocker for some reason... now I know why !!! Trippy.....
@@ckotcher1 He famously played, Hoss Cartwright in the Western television series Bonanza.
You are never less than excellent!!!!!!!!☺🇬🇧
Hi Jordan!! I've recently discovered your channel & man do I enjoy it!!! You do such an excellent job on all your videos, they are so entertaining & very interesting!!! Love that cute lil doggie of yours too, he makes me laugh, he's so adorable & very smart to boot!! Are you sure he isn't human?? Ha Ha!! Just wanted to say I love the Poltergeist movies, the 1st one was my all time favorite!! I'm an 80's kid, I miss those days so much!!! Nothing like growing up back then but atleast I can reminisce through all the amazing movies that were made back in the day!! The neighborhood is still so beautiful after all these years & everybody keeps their lawns perfectly manicured as well! This gives such a nostalgic feeling & it's awesome!!! Thank you so much for all the hard work you do for all of us here that LOVE your channel Jordan!!!
Could you please vlog the Virginia Hill home where Bugsy Siegal was shot?
He was shot at his house in Beverly hills

Enjoyed thanks
I LOVE your sunglasses!
The Talented Christine Lahti was in Running on Empty..not Jobeth Williams
Your little dog is so cute
Really enjoyed this one. Fascinating
Binge watching have to get caught up. Love your Vlogs
Great vlog ty
ok I ll be honest that is a great horror film thanks for the info.
I heard two other actors also died. The preacher and the indian gentleman from the second one I believe.
Cool blog
I watched this film when I was 9 or 10 and I couldn't sleep without the light on for weeks. I do still watch it now and then as it's a classic ghost film which I love now (I don't need to leave the light on any more lol) I now love the paranormal and I give full credit to this film!!!
Loved the 'goooOOOOd-Bye' at the end, but it did sound suspiciously like Christoph Waltz' character (Dr. King Schultz) in Django Unchained gtbh 'Normally I would say auf-weidersehen, but since auf-weidersehen means until I see you again. But since I never want to see you again, I say to you Sir, Good-Bye!' But still a very entertaining clip on Poltergeist. I do love all this extra information about movie.
Hi Jordan love this movie great Volg jah is the cutest dog thank you🤗🐕🐕🐕
Excellent!
Still looks like a beautiful house!
I loved this vlog my daughter is named carolann and we are always asked is she named after the little girl from this movie sadly no she's named after my mom but I had to show her this movie she's 7
Great vlog I did hear about that on reeelzs channel much love to you and Jah ❤️👍 ❤️👍 ❤️
Thank you great vlog
Loved this film .
Was a huge film back in the day .
nice to see parts of the location shots from the movie showing how it looked from on film compared to real life
luv Poltergeist movies I have all three, awesome tour btw, have you seen the other house from second sequel The Other Side, old man Kane is creepy
Hi Jordan 😀Great vlog! Absolutely one of my favorite movies. They used real skeletons during the part where Jobeth falls into the pool. Also, Sorry to correct you man but it was Christine Lahti in “Running on Empty” not Jobeth Williams. 11:00 But the two actresses look alike and I used to confuse them with each other as well.
Jordan, Poltergeist is losely based on a housing development in a town called Crosby, TX. ( Suburb North of Houston ).
I love poltergeist 3. My kids love and watch all 3 pretty frequently. 💙 we love horror too. I was going to say that neighborhood reminds me of the neighborhood in E.T.
Hi Jordan. I Loved the movie. But I think the garage doors are newer. It looked like they were dark brown, and now, they're white with windows. Cool, you were joined by Adam the Woo and the Carpetbagger. I Love them too
The floorplan of whoevers house they used was nice.
Very good vtlog, very informative......I find my attention from time to time is distracted as I notice that the weather appears to be perfect. Strange and stupid I know but "my" world is 5 inches of snow, near zero conditions and I am looking at lawns perfectly mowed and blacktopped streets that are not bleached out from road salt. Sorry for the rant but I am mesmerized by great weather in February.....I gotta get a life.
Man, that's a classy looking neighbourhood. I bet it isn't cheap to live there.
I love 💕💞💕 Poltergeist thanks 👍😊👍😊👍
RIP Dominique Dunne and Heather O'Rourke
Remember the Creepy old man.
Excellent
Great movie. The original is far better. Thanks for such great info!
There’s actually several houses in that subdivision that look like that one and some of them are flipped. And the floor plan of the real house is very similar to the set. The people that owned it back in 1981 when the film was being filmed live there for many many years of until I believe 2015 or so in the house was on the market and eventually sold. The house was built in 1979 so the house was roughly 2 years old when the movie was filmed there. Whoever owns it now I’m sure they know that the movie was filmed there who wouldn’t know that?
swesome video
Those trees in front are recent. There’s been many plants and trees over the years. Those trees that are there or not from the 80s. Also the roof has been replaced as well as the garage doors and paint. Also all the brick work out front by the sidewalk is all added since
I wish that somebody would film the inside of that house. I have saw where the house has been for sale and they still don't even have interior shots um reality South or any of the other reality websites.. I wish someone would please go take interior pictures of that house I want to know what it looks like
And Spielberg's E.T. was filmed in the same neighborhood, supposedly a few blocks from the Poltergeist house.
Yep
I believe the E.T. house is actually in Tujunga,Ca.
I was a kid when this came out, I’m not going to lie, I have never seen one of the movies & I didn’t think I would ever want to, but now I kinda do 😃
Love Jordan and Jah and Jeffrey the puppet
Jobeth Williams was not in Running on Empty. That was Christine Lahti.
+Lucy325 you're right. I always get them confused
Cool
When I was a kid I couldn’t understand why a grown a man was riding a bike on a beer run, in a middle class neighborhood like the one I grew up in. Then my best friend’s mom got a DUI again and that answered my question. Except, she sent us on our bikes to the liquor store (at ages 16 AND 18) if she missed getting her Friday night delivery. Liquor, cigs, and we’d get to order pizza and watch movies and have a sleep over in return. LOL Good old 80s.
Also, RIP Dominique Dunn. Poor soul.
Great video! Was that the real kitchen? Curious how many bathrooms the house has?
they did one more scene that was technically from the house ...Craig T. Nelson was hanging out the side window yelling at the neighbor about the remote...if you look you can see the wooden fence and the house rooftop and windows in the background....I know it wasn't shot inside the home but in a technical sense it was because of him being inside leaning out the window...just saying
Yes there is a pool staircase on left side of house
would you ever do a vlog of the filming locations from Return Of The Living Dead?
I have. I just haven't posted it yet..
I’d turn that house into a daily tourist attraction like a one hit wonder band .
Handsome man!
I prefer the second house the mirror one, :-)
