Dr. Strong, I just wanted to say - as a non traditional student who has the burgeoning fear that age will limit the depth of my knowledge base - that I am very humbled and inspired by your dedication for continued learning and your passion for teaching. Thank you so much!
Cheers for the Video! Apologies for chiming in, I would love your thoughts. Have you ever tried - Patlarny Proper Cure Principle (google it)? It is a smashing one of a kind product for Curing your Yeast Infection minus the hard work. Ive heard some pretty good things about it and my work buddy finally got cool results with it.
Thank you so much. At 1 minute 37 seconds in you solved a mystery for me. My first adverse response to penicillin was a rash, the second seizures. Years later I found by accident, blue cheese could make me violently ill with a small taste, followed a few years later by a waitress error mistaking blue cheese dressing for ranch. Even though I spit the food back out and wiped my tongue, again I was violently ill. We cross check latex and banana allergies, and med drug class allergies, but nowhere was I ever told the connection of bleu cheese with my penicillin allergy. Like most, I presumed penicillin came only from moldy bread. Further search explains why my skin reacts to touching moldy fruit. Thank you for this light bulb.
+C McB I'm glad the video was helpful. The issue of blue cheese and penicillin cross-reactivity is actually quite complicated, and there doesn't appear to be a robust resource that discusses it either for laypeople or even for doctors (I just looked). One of the complicating factors is that not all blue cheese uses the same species of mold, some of which may make penicillin and others cannot. The overwhelming majority of pencillin-allergic patients don't have problems with cheese, but there are certainly some who have reported a cross-reaction like yourself. Seems like a subject ripe for a good study!
Very good approach. Seeking to generate a debate about a subject despised in our presentations, I understand that the pronunciation of scientific names should follow the Latin fphonetics and not the language itself.
There are at least one species of fungi that are motile and are usually entirely in an aqueous solution. One fungi is responsible for blocking the oxygen absorption on frogs skin causing death by suffication.
Listen! Its good you understood that you lost interest to study .. So its time you need a very very very good reason to do something so that you wont lose the interest ... Study is not life !! Life is way bigger than just micro talent(ability) to study .... Find the inner force/passion/hobbie that drives you.. make you what you are ...keep doing it and you will be happy... Happy by choosing what you want to do and so you did it well !!!! Keep up ! ;)
Listen! Previous response is bull. Life in general loses its appeal with age. Don't try to find your passion with your career. Use your career as a means to cultivate your passions.
I think I currently have a fungal infection. Despite the fact that I was at the ER room. According to the doctors there. They couldn't determine the cause what was wrong with. Despite the fact that I explained to them. that I was rescuing pigeons in confined space with droppings. My symptoms are mild to severe chest pain, abdominal pain. breathing fatigue. It's hard to explain the pain is sporadic. What do you think doctor? I'm looking for a second opinion. Because I believe they didn't ran the correct analysis on me.
My mom and I went to Oahu in 2019. She came home and had itching of the scalp. She thought it was head lice and soon lost majority of her hair and what is left is a thick hair floccule, Not her regular hair. She is having sores or cuts forming around her body, and now eggs are coming out of her. Doctors do not know what is going on....
I'm very sorry, but I can't give specific, individualized medical advice on here. However, the first two questions I would ask are "have you personally seen these 'eggs'?", and has a medical professional seen them? If you get whatever this is into the hands of the right person, under a microscope they'll be able to tell you what it is. Certainly cuts and wounds can get infected with all kinds of parasites, but that's usually very easily to identify and treat. If this is confusing doctors, it may not be an infection at all.
Virtually every animal has the ability to pass infectious diseases on to people, though some are particularly infamous for it (e.g. bats). Although many of these are viruses or bacteria rather than fungi.

I thought cryptococcus is dimorphic??? Im confused.. appreciate an explanation from you or anyone else who knows
Kineson C cryptococcus is yeast.. a pathogenic type.
Kineson C they don't have any mycelial form
Isn't one of the phenotypes of C. albicans a dimorphic fungi?
Sir fungi species related many disease of pathogenic cause lectures about sent me
Is this Paul Stamets?
No, it's Eric Strong, and this video series discusses harmful fungi, not beneficial fungi.
which animals infect humans and cause pathological disease??
Virtually every animal has the ability to pass infectious diseases on to people, though some are particularly infamous for it (e.g. bats). Although many of these are viruses or bacteria rather than fungi.
Thank you so much❤🙏
