My great grandparents in 1896 bought 4 acres on (later known as Bayshore Drive) the beach with 4 acres of bay bottom (now known as Monty’s). We would walk across Bayshore drive and watch the seaplanes land. Great memories! GlennFHoward

Wanted to listen to this again. Beautiful History. Stayed in the Grove one New Year's for several days. A very long time ago. Interesting what I saw in the sky one night on the Rooftop of the Hotel . I wasn't drunk either. I walked in an underground tunnel somewhere in the Grove.

I love the history of our area! I just posted a video of a tour of the Barnacle House. Such a rich and interesting history of south Florida and Miami.
