As much as I love the whole cast, it felt so refreshing to have a member of the squad with so much genuine love and good in her heart. She was never a bad person to begin with, and always strived to see the good in everyone around her. If she had been dealt a better hand, I’m sure she would have been a superhero.
The look of confusion on Bloodsport’s face when he sees Peacemaker then the way his face turns to one of rage when he sees his gun pointed at Ratcatcher is just so awesome and I’m like “Yeah… Peacemaker gonna die.”
This movie has so many moments that tug at the heart. My two favorites are the one between Cleo and and her father with the line that if rats have purpose then so do we all and the other was when Starro said he was happy just floating along looking at the stars. It is surprising that a scene with rats and a giant alien starfish were the most human scenes in the movie.

The characterization in this was on point. After the [imo] tonal mess that was GotG2 I was hesitant but quickly fell in love with this film, its performances and all the development given to even the smallest details, fleshing out all their personalities and quirks. Very well done.
If interested, read the original Ratcatcher story in Detective Comics #585 and #586 (1988). It's one of the most memorable Batman stories ever. Ratcatcher there is a menacing villain. It's gross, grimy and completely dark in that late 80s-early 90s way.
I really do not see the point of them reviving Peacemaker, the man is willing to betray his own for quote on quote peace. Despite being a orphan, Ratcatcher 2 knows her dad Ratcatcher loved her before his death. She was a good friend Bloodsport needed to help him get over his fear of rats, also King Shark is adorable with his little kid personality. 🥰
