This weirdly fits as rick chose to be a soldier while peacemaker grew to become one, peacemaker knew it was wrong but as a soldier he has to follow orders
not gonna lie he was shit uninteresting in the first movie .thank u james gunn for actually making rick flag a lovable character than DCEU shit superman . rick's death made me teared up but laughed for superman's death
I enjoyed the character of Rick Flag in the first movie he was a really cool soldier and team leader/operative and in the second film he is a lot closer to his morals and being a human. "peacemaker... what a joke" idk how peacemaker will recover from that sick burn
That sentence hit me deeply too. It is a fundamental moment both for the theme of the film (the manipulation of individuals and the ability to disobey orders and follow one's own thoughts) and for the narrative arc of Peacemaker: the latter, albeit with doubts and with extreme reluctance for the friendship he has made with others, he tries to justify what is happening with moral excuses, but Flag just spits in his face the horrendous things he is trying to cover up with the excuse of peace. Hands down this scene is one of the best in the movie.
thats bulshit. Waller's superiors who did this had to be held accountable or they would have kept doing it again and again and again, with the results being more extreme every time. This entire situation was unnecessary to begin with and they kept escalating it over the years as a result of their thoughtless, sadistic and malevolent approach. Torturing thousands of innocent men, women and children over such a period of time in such a horrific way? They dont give a shit if its US Citizens they screw over, slaughter or experiment on either. Their incompetence got a city wiped out in the 1st movie. A global boycott would be a fair exchange to be rid of such terrible incompetnet people before their next great idea ends up nearly causing yet another global catastrophe. They were poison. Outright villains making everything worse and hiding behind the country as an excuse, while actively making it worse. some short term inconvenience does not outweigh all of this.
Yes poor Americans, a boycott would really stink for us. I mean - it's not as if we don't literally invade countries based on lies, (like Iraq), or tons of other shit deserving of a boycott or embargos. That doesn't happen though because the US is the world sole super-power and can pretty much do whatever the fuck it wants on the world stage without serious repercussions. And it's been doing just that for the passed 3 decades or so. Tons of other countries are blockaded for doing shit not nearly as horrific, but yes... poor Americans being hurt for something our government did. You know... the sort of thing we do to other countries' people all the fuckin time!
Say to them: As I live, saith the Lord GOD, I take no pleasure in the death of the wicked, but in the wicked turning from his way, and living. Convert, convert from your evil ways; for why shall ye die, O house of Israel?
Rick Flag is an IDIOT in this movie. He's ok with working with villains that are known child killers, but draws the line at bad guys experimenting on children.
Yeah, Flag oversees and works with villains but the suicide squad is all about forcing them to do good at any cost bc their actions have made them expendable. He’s not sitting back and watching or letting them kill kids- he’s making sure they finish their mission to save people/ the world. He didn’t realize until this movie that he was actively working for and helping people who were just as bad if not worse than some of the villains he’s in charge of. And that they were using him to cover up horrible acts under the guise of protecting his country. Rick’s actions make perfect sense.
The villains have openly show they are evil, while the government that rick flag was protecting doing secret illegal inhumane experiment for powers and weapons, and doesn't care about human lives, The realization that the country he protecting is worse than villains, and also the fact he was being used as puppet to cover their acts
This weirdly fits as rick chose to be a soldier while peacemaker grew to become one, peacemaker knew it was wrong but as a soldier he has to follow orders
I thought Rick flag was kinda trash in the first movie but this video makes me take that back
He was awesome in the entire 2. movie
@@derhodenbaron8827 that's why his death hurt me the most
@@stopmotionnerd2184 yeah same

Hurts, don’t it?
Being told you’re something, and then finding out it’s all fiction…

3:24-3:34 be cool if that happened in the movie kinda showing his life flashing
Eh not really
3:02-3:07-3:11.
I like that in this movie we see flag has morals Beyond being Wallers puppet. That he has limits to how much evil shit they do
Liked Col. Flag better in the second movie.
And this is why everyone hates peacemaker. p.s if u like peacemaker then watch the film and think about what flag said.
I hate love him
i like him alot tho .i understand both sides .in the end the rational side won
Peacemaker is My favourite Hero, it was my favourite character even before the Suicide Squad movie
I hated him until I watched the Peacemaker show. Makes you understand his character way more
I can also understand the side of pacemaker: it is not fair that all US citizens will suffer a global boycott because of the sins of their government
They experimented on children
@@bluestrike_5479 I agree and we should also give up on comfort living because they experimented on children we could afford all this tech and comfort
