Like always, you make me laugh and smile. Thank goodness chelsea was around to help you get out of your predicament with the tractor. Thank you for sharing.
Appreciate ya watching
You know it's going to be a good day when you get a Captain Kleeman video first thing in the morning! Thanks for sharing Mike!!
Every time that 555 fires up I smile Love it
Me too
A nice addition to the ford 555, if you could add a thumb to the bucket. 🇺🇸
Something doesn’t feel right about a captain video where we don’t get dropped, hit or fall once.
It’s kind of an empty feeling, for sure!
He did kick us right around 20:53 😆
@@alanbierhoff6831 just a gentle nudge.. 🤓
I got all of my PPE on for nothing. It’s like that new $29.99 tripod keeps us in a safe place or something……..for now. Of course we know that’s only going to last a month tops before Captain Kleeman breaks or loses the tripod and we “get in the way” again. 😁😁
I always get bruises watching Captain 🤕
You have done well by rebuilding the triple nickel! The clean up and tree removal you have been able to do! 👌👌👍🏻
Thanks 👍
Good idea keeping the recovery services happy 😁
Thanks for your kind words Mike.
You do know that you could just set up the camera to view the pond for an hour and I for one would watch it .👍
70K subscribers 17 hours 23K views !!! 300 comments. That's a great percentage for a RUclips channel Captain. Keep up the great work!
Thanks!
love to watch you burning stuff in big piles! You do the best burning stuff up videos!!
Thank you!
Need to get a fuel measuring device on the 555 maybe get a battery charger port so you can be charging when you are running 👍👍🇬🇧🇬🇧
It's called a stick.
I have to stop whatever i an doing when i get a notification the a Captain Kleeman posted a new video! Have a great day and be safe.
Appreciate ya watching
Looking better everyday.
Thanks!
You crack me up. I LOL at the thumbnail..Thank you. Hope you had fun. Now I will watch the video.
backhoe is purrin... way to keep with 'er!
Thanks for saying... Sure do like watching and catching up with you and DP. You guy's are great!
Thanks!
Hey, I didn't know you were adding a "Kleeman's Psychic Hotline" segment! But I swear within 5 seconds of me thinking "what always worries me about using a machine to burn brush piles is getting stuck, or a hydraulic hose breaking" you were explaining what I'd just thought.😁 The fact that you did that thinking several days before I thought of it was impressive! (And of course for your more literal viewers, I realize that probably just about everyone thinks the same thing when working with machinery around fire in muddy conditions, but it was still kind of funny.) Thanks for the video, take care!
A man of many talents
If I had all that ash for my garden. I'd win awards hands down.
For all the enjoyment you have given me over the years I promise (with fingers crossed behind my back) that I will buy you something shiny, new and not broken, unless I can use it in my window box.😊
Capt : I always find it funny as Hell when I watch Firemen playing with fire !!! Keith
You filling that tank, reminded me of the gentleman (farmer?) who would come by the convivence store I worked at, about every month or so.
His truck had an optional 32 gallon(I believe) fuel tank under the bed, two 32 gallon saddle tanks (fillers in wheel wells) and a 55 gallon drum behind the cab.
Even with four hoses going to it, filling it took some time and wasn't cheep, even in the mid 1970s. ;-)
Mike, at least you didn't get stuck by the burn pile 😁. Chelsea to the rescue!! And you didn't add any fuel to the fire when filling up the ole 555. Thanks for the humor and sharing this part of your lives. May you continue to be greatly blessed! John here, from the back-roads of Northeastern Tennessee.
I watch to see all the crazy things you get into It don't matter from your place or helping Dirt Perfect or out at your brothers it is all fun to watch you figure out how do things !
Appreciate ya watching
It's nice when nothing goes wrong. I read that on the interwebs somewhere. The journey is actually the journey. Have a blessed day.
🤣 appreciate ya watching
Cap’n you are a smart man! There’s nothing better than a good smoky brush fire to keep the skeeters away.
I can’t believe those high flotation, modified turf tire treads didn’t float the 755 right out of that bog. Do ya think helium would help?
I told Nana, “Chevy Chase had better look out… Cap’n Kleeman is on a European Vacation!” Hope you’re enjoying it, bud!!!
We had a great time for sure!
Always enjoy your vids! I’m impressed by your ability to rebuild the 555 without having much mechanical background! And that little John Deere is a real workhorse. Amazed at how much you get accomplished with it! Thanks!
Muddy burn but it's working for you Mike except for getting stuck in the mud great video thanks
If your hour meter works, you can keep a log and use that to guess-ti-mate fuel usage.
Or use a cut off broom handle like I keep on my old John Deere 2 bangers. Pretty reliable, lol.
I do like how you deliberately splintered that tree so that it would burn faster. 🤣 Mike sure is a good guy, it will be an interesting build when you get the IBC's. If it's more than one, they're going to be useful for collecting rainwater, in readiness for the raise gardens during the hotter weather. 👍🤗
So, now we know why Mike and MBTS made the new hitch on the straw spreader 'Kleeman Proof'. Looking forward to you proving them wrong.
Love your content and positive attitude.
Based on statistics, they break more than I do lol
@@CaptainKleeman - I know, I know. I'm your number one fan and regardless of what Mike says, I believe YOU. Maybe you can have a showdown with the other members of the team someday. Even Clint over at C&C has been having a couple of issues lately. Glad he didn't try to fix the 555 or you'd still be waiting for it. (BTW - I have the utmost respect for Clint and everyone else).
I bet you wished you had a thumb on the 555's bucket more than twice.
That would have made picking and placing the trees in the fire so much easier.
But, as you say, "Run what you brung", and you got the job done. Nice to see Chelsea helping out again.
Great video, the backhoe is looking good. Take care and stay safe.
Thanks, you too!
Captain K, that place is looking great you rock😂😂
Thanks!
Looking great Bud hope your trip was a great one R&R hopefully half of the dream team needs a bath 👋👍🇨🇦
Some of that could be good picnic fires for the around the gazebo I just thought you know that would be nice
As good as you are with the backhoe bucket it is a shame you don't have a thumb fitted as it would be better again. Still as you say, "run what you brung"😃
We all love the adventures with the Captain!
💪
I dig the custom wasp spray holder in the triple nickel.
It's pretty handy
God made man with THUMBS........ Ford 555 backhoe buckets need thumbs too... They are SOOO useful!! Love the work ethic, Mike. Via con DIOS!
Waiting for your check to clear
The 555 is a beast 😊
All my stumps are going into expanding the berm on my gun range. Pile high and cover with dirt.
We have hills here lol. But good idea
Great video Captain Kleeman
Thank you
You are so calm and cheerful when things don't exactly go to plan 😊 It was nice seeing the Mrs. You guys seem to be a good pairing.
Captain great video, thank goodness your wife is a hard worker like you! Thanks for sharing! Kevin
Appreciate ya watching Kevin
Your welcome, stay safe.
HI Mike, Great vid even though things didn’t go to plan, its all meant to test us!! Good job you were wearin the damn safety Crocs!! Jerry....UK
Thanks Jerry
Looking great!!! It's so nice to make order out of chaos💦🌞😆 catch u next time. Thanks for sharing!!!!
Appreciate ya watching
Nice video captain. But always let your 755 idle when not in use. Sometimes you forget
I don't forget, I just don't care 👍
I'm too paranoid to do my burning in the summer. I generally build my piles and burn after the snow starts. There is a chance something unexpected can happen if you don't get it burned though. Fox decide to build a den underneath.
I had no idea that green trees, stumps and rotten buried logs could burn. Educational Channel here.
@@jefffrayer8238 the sound of green tree tops crackling and wet wood sizzling in an open fire is oddly satisfying to those of us who live in the country. I need to record an audio tape if my next one to use as a lullaby for insomniac nights!
Sir fantastic video as always. You gotta run the equipment to empty every once in a while to remind yourself self how many hour's you can run on a full tank. Plus i like to think of it as a way to clean the tanks out and remind myself to change filters.
Lol, good point!
Nice video as always,on the stumps, maybe find a spot to dig out dirt for filling in low spots around present work area.dig deep enough to be able to put about two foot of dirt back over.something to think about.wet spots dig them out and put in fresh dry dirt.unless you just want to keep pulling equipment out of the mud.progressing on this project coming right along.keep doing your thing.kudos 👨🚒👨🚒👨🚒👍👍👍😎😎😎
Thanks 👍
Patience is the key to everything, but especially true when getting equipment pulled out of a stuck/ hung up situation, oh my goodness I have witnessed some awful damage done to equipment because people got in hurry, both physically and mentally. Great tips on tipping/cutting trees down, it is dangerous work. Thanks for the tag along vid young man, enjoying the pond series.
What's game changer the 555 has been! No disrespectto the John Deere, but it's been punching above it's weight for a long time. Nice to have a partner to handle the heavy lifting.
Great video Captain. Lol buried that tractor quickly! Reminds me of quick sand.. for some reason. 😅😂 But hey that first turn was pretty slick, it was like a 90 degree turn!
It sunk fast! Lol
Looking great ❤
mate that Dam is looking real good and the surrounding area is coming along nicely as well good work keep the videos coming big CHERS
I don’t know why I find it so interesting that you seem to use brake steering a lot of the time, I do as well in slippery conditions but not as much as you. Also, I enjoy your videos and your humour. Keep working hard.
It's a handy tool
Well Captain, nothing got smashed or mirror broken off.
Mud stuck tractor or running your Ho outta fuel really doesn't count as a fubar or a snafu.
I vote definitely on that fuel level indicator tho.
Way cheaper than fixing the electronic one.
Can't wait to see you working on your brother's property and evenmore back in the RUclips yacht project.
Thanks for the entertainment Captain.
Appreciate the support
Oh Mike you never seem to amaze me 😂
knock the dirt off the stumps and put on top of fire they will burn just takes a while. I have had them burn for 2 weeks.
Correct
I would put the stump in the fire 🔥 they will take some time but you have more small stuff to burn
Thank you Mike it is our privilege, you are very informative and use a whole load of common sense, I personally enjoy your videos and hope you get a whole load of new subscribers, lets head for the Million, you can do it.
Love you videos, regarding the stumps, thinking a bit ‘out of the box’ how about making a ‘stumpery’ near the yacht. Pressure wash all the soil off, dig a hole put stump in upside down but leaving a good part of the root part showing, back fill around them and plant ferns, hostas etc around and between them. Planted in the shade I think it would be a great addition and something a bit different. Check them out. Jo from Lincolnshire UK.
Thats a pretty cool idea
Thanks. 👍
If you remember to put the front loader bucket down when you’re using the backhoe, that’s you’re third point of contact and you won’t rock und roll quite so much lol
Pay attention to the video and you'll see it is 👍
@@CaptainKleeman In one scene it actually wasn’t which is what prompted my comment
Other than a bit of a level issue (low fuel level & tires below surface level) everything seemed to go just fine.👍🤣
Lookin good sir.🤙
Lol thanks!
Reminds me of building our house some 25 years ago. I rented a backhoe/loader to help smooth out some "landscaping" near the foundation. Turns out there was a small spring in the next door neighbors back yard. Caused a pretty deep mud pit in our front yard. I bet I put at least a whole cord of wood under the buried tractor tires! At least we didn't have a lot of 2x4, 2x8, 2, 12 scraps to carry away! I'm pretty sure the termites have cleaned up all that wood by now... 😳🤔😲😵💫 That was just the beginning of my "stuck" career. I've not yet found any vehicle I can't get stuck!!🤯😛🤪
Cleaning up very nice. Looking forward to next video finishing.
Thanks for sharing your thoughts, ideas and videos. Another entertaining video, have to admit you got me laughing when you got Chelsea involved pulling you out. Almost looked like once she had you moving with the truck she wasn’t going to stop until she got you safely back to the house and out of harms way. 😂 Great shots of the nighttime fire with all the glowing coals. Something magical about that, was reminded of the great taste of meat cooked over a fire of your own making from wood of your own land. Wishing you and your family the best.
Two tips
Put the bucket closer to the machine when jockeying backhoe around.Better leverage.
Chain or otherwise secure tractor forks at bottom so they dont swing. Then you can use them to push yourself out
That's as close as it gets. 👍
@@CaptainKleeman It'll get closer. At 8:49 in this video, you move the bucket away from the machine, then lift the machine and scooch sideways.
Enjoy your videos, keep them coming!
Thanks for the videos Captain. You are the guy that stays busy and you never give up. The world needs more like you
Thanks for the kind words!
Once a month, roll the stumps. And the dirt will come out then you can burn them,
At about 2 to 3 years of being out of the ground they'll be really dry and dirt should fall right off making them easy to burn without messing with rolling them, but I doubt you want to wait that long.
Can the hydraulic hose going to the excavator arm be fixed to the arm to Keep it out of harm’s way. Wonderful the Clint got you the backhoe and that you had the ability to rehabilitate the machine.
I've been wondering that for months
Do thay not need that freedom, length, and flexibility to allow the extender boom to function?
Progress was made and lessons learned. Takes time when wet.
The old tripple nickel running like 15 cents 🤙
LOVE WHAT YOU DO CAP KEEP THEM COMING
Stuck tractors = fun times with Captain.
You should write children's books about the adventures/misadventures of a Captain and his equipment. You know.. in your free time.
The pond looks awesome.
Keep up the good work!
CK for a fireman you sure are creating a lot of job security!
Knowing when and how to burn is valuable
@@CaptainKleeman So true and I have the upmost respect for all emergency and fire recue people around the world.
Your sarcasm and positivity are half the fun of your channel. It doesn’t matter what kind of sh#t your knee deep in, your attitude never seems to change. There’s a channel where a guy has a new Cat 313 and a new D3, and all he does is complain. Not about the equipment, but everything he’s doing. With you, if you were closer to NW Georgia, I’d come over and help ya lol. Positivity and humor are much more entertaining. Thanks.
Man what I could do with a D3. Appreciate ya watching
lol. You could turn your forest into a golf course with a D3. For perspective, I think “man what I could do with a 555”.
Thanks for the video Capt . like it .
Appreciate ya watching Leo
Mike could you wild some chain links half to the side of the boom to tie wrap that loose and hanging hydraulic hose so it’s pool up out of the way of being damage
Great video, love watching. Looking great 👍
Thanks Andy
Great video Mike. Always fun to watch what you’re doing. Thanks for sharing.
Like the IBC tote idea, Mike. It's not a Thunder Creek trailer but should be really handy just the same. Throw on a battery and solar panel to trickle charge a battery or two. Nice idea. :)
Oooh, good idea. A Solar panel to trickle charge a battery that powers the electric pump on the “bowser” pump. Could a guy fab up a basic chassis so that the tote became a trailer and could be towed around the homestead? Possible built so it could be moved on the forks too.
Most of the equipment has a battery... interesting idea though
@@buttonmonkey6845 A Kleeman Kreek trailer? Didn't Mike have a small single axle trailer in a previous video? I seem to remember him ripping the deck off and saving it for another project.
I have a solar panel running an MPPT charge controller that manages a battery to run an electric stock fence( got fed up with charging/swapping batteries) certainly working well this time of year. It is on those S.A.E quick swap couplers that trickle chargers use. It would be easy to swap things around to boost other batteries if required. Seem to remember an axle from somewhere, easy to find stuff like that if it doesn’t need to be road legal.😀👋🇬🇧
@@CaptainKleeman Mike, would a trailer be easier for your wife to hook\unhook with the side by side when needed? I think of your situation today with the 755 stuck and the 555 being out of fuel.
Also, could you add a gas powered air compressor on the trailer as a future addition? Bolt on an old toolbox?
Your WELCOME! You are interesting to watch, kinda like a train wreck about to happen! 😊
What a weird comment to say to someone
Mike, have you ever thought of using some old 1in forestry hose and run the backhoe hydraulic lines through that to give it a little better flame and heat protection?
been loving this clean up . Its going nicely so much space to relax. Looking much better now. Its amazing what a little bit of tidying ip does. Keep going.
Thanks!
It's amazing how the human body is faster and more efficient at stacking the fires, not having a machine myself I get the urge to help with the stacking. Looking good mate.
Appreciate the support!
Great video! Look'n good!
It was therapeutic to watch you go through the mess which has been breaking down organically through the years. It is not a simple dig ..that’s for sure. Despite the mud and a few other minor hurdles, you stuck with it and only used your “phone a friend” advantage when it became obvious that you had to.
Very happy that you will stay with this a bit more before moving on to your brothers place (another fun project). If you have already shown us the fill site, I apologize but would like to see that and get on board with your vision.
I'll show it when we get started on it. Hopefully this fall! Thanks for watching
That’s what I like about your videos captain real life do you see it as it comes
💪
Hi Mike. With all that you do: YT, real job, family, editing and PT work for DP, it's no wonder why you forget to charge the batteries. I did have one thought on this idea of charging the batteries, but it is not guaranteed to work as you may know. A label with really good adhesive that would fit on the blower, chainsaw and anything else electrical that uses rechargeable batteries with the following words on it: CHARGE BATTERIES.
Have good days!
Lol that's a good idea
You are Doing great, I would get sidetracked, playing in the pond and admiring the views.
You had a couple of "fun" days didn't you? Getting stuck then running the tractor dry of fuel. Thanks for sharing. :)
Appreciate ya watching
Classic!! Plus I learn so much of common sense things to do. When you don’t do or use the equipment that you are using, I just don’t think of those things, and you say, makes great sense!! Good to have you back safe from vacation land!!👍🇺🇸
Thanks for watching
You throw a good video. Looks like the 555 has alot of work in her still nice
You need a thumb on the 555; otherwise your just making a mess most of the time.
And the smaller brush, get down and use your hands !!!!!
But enjoy the channel; keep it up.
Still waiting on your check in the mail 👍
