Brilliant, well done. I've just frustratingly scrapped one of these machine, a bit newer too, with a motor control board fault I could not repair. The replacement boards are not being made anymore by Fisher & Paykel and they sold for 260.00 NZ dollars.

Thank you so much! This helped me fix my washing machine. I didn't have a soldering iron so I bought replacement board for just AUD$25 online. Fixed!!!

Great video, the tips helped me repair the board on my unit and hopefully keep it running until I can replace the board with a new one. The machine is over 17 years old so expect I will get some pressure to buy a new washing machine.

we call those blobby techniques, effective over a short distance, great video thanks helped me locate the fault with my Gnd circuit on the hall effect board

Hi Pete. Great video! This has really helped the repair of my old F & P machine. One comment, it might be a good idea to smear a bit of grease on the two retaining plates that are mounted either side of the stator to help prevent corrosion. Mine were done many years ago and still look like new. I've seen some pretty horrible looking ones riddled with corrosion. Not a big deal I guess, but might help.

    Two things:
Before replacing the RPS turn the bowl by hand past 180 degrees one way and then the other. Sometimes the RPS just needs calibrating.
The green circuit board in the RPS can be purchased separately. No need to buy the whole assembly.

Awesome, mine had lost contact on third chip (output) to the solder directly above chip, I just soldered a very short wire from chip output to the solder.
Maybe looking at a replacement board in the future but in the meantime got it up and running again.

Hi, all of my support rails tested fine, when I tested the hall effect sensors the first two were 220 ohms, the third one was 230 ohms, would this cause a problem? Thanks again for all the great info

My Ecosmart washer (Model WA37T26G Product 96180-A Mkt US) has error code 136.
Checked wiring harness to motor: All three phases 32 ohms. OK
Checked wiring harness to RPS sensor: All five wires have continuity. OK
How to distinguish a fault in the motor control module from a fault in the RPS sensor?
    Thanks for your video

I have a GWL11 96151-A which appears to have the same board as yours. The part that was sent has an additional cap above each of the three black chips (where there are open pads on yours and my old one). I put the new part in and it did the same as my old board with the 130 error. Do you think the new part is defective or the three extra caps is causing a problem?

Is there a part number please.
    My 70+yo mums' F@P is throwing Error 136. (10001000)
I can't fault find stuff on a circuitry board, as my eyesight isn't the greatest (inherited from mum.)
I'm hoping to buy the part and replace it outright.
Any leads to a part number are greatly appreciated.

Hi, got a fisher paykel aerosense 5kg dryer, that's refusing to work, seems interment, turn on, power button, little red light flashing above start/pause button, start button, hear a click, red light constant, but dryer not working

Very close tolerance resistors, to be within an ohm of the rated 220 ohms !

Video would be greatly improved if we didn't see the hand blocking almost every continuity check as in "what to what."

You can easily see the traces on the reverse side, shouldn't be an issue when you look at it.
