      Truthful? What's depressing is liberal media's relentless Trump bashing. They contribute majorly in keeping this country depressed and divided. I am no Trump supporter [there is no worthy candidate] but, I hate the media soooo much that in the voting booth I filled in the circle for Trump. It wasn't a vote for Trump, it was an anti-media vote.

It's all about social control & audience capture...

      People are grossly uninformed. He was on Theo Von and the topic of Purdue was brought up and they were laughing and joking about it. While I'm sitting there like "JD worked for the firm protecting Purdue. And hired one of their stooges for his non profit that he shoveled govt money in." But those voters don't care. It's honestly appalling that people can't be brought to educate themselves for the responsibility of voting.

    Here in nowhere, we lost our local waterski factory and pulp mill to big business (they were formerly locally owned). Then the factory was bought out by a conglomerate from Atlanta, and shortly after moved to Mexico. The local papermill was gutted by an Australian millionaire, bankrupted, and sold to a big conglomerate. It seems to me that anti-monopoly laws, antitrust laws, market regulations against stripping assets for pumping up share prices after buyouts, and unfair business practices must not be allowed. The democratic party made some mistakes with NAFTA, but the central problem appears to be concentrated wealth corrupting our system, and a correction is long overdue. Tax the wealthy to reduce their grip on power, give a lot more to the workers, and let them have the controlling shares in these big businesses. A democracy of the workplace. 🗽🇺🇸⚖️🗳️

    • @dawnmariebennett9093
      @dawnmariebennett9093 День назад +2

      I agree with you. A similar situation occurred in my hometown in PA. The paper company eventually downsized and closed. GE downsized and shipped jobs to non- union states or overseas. Other smaller companies faced similar fates. Workers deserve more ownership and investments in the companies they work for. The only way to thrive if all are equal stakeholders.

      The Haitian people are exceptional, they are respectful and hardworking. Many love having starting small businesses. The morphed Republican Party has nothing in common with the Working Class anyone who thinks otherwise, their hate for Unions is historic yet were it not for The UAW Working in concert with President Obama's and V.P. Biden General Motor's would have gone bankrupt due to former President Bush's financial collapse of the U.S. Economy. Read the history regarding the Republican era.
      Republicans and Trump when He cut Corporations taxes by 7.5 Trillion. They made huge profits, why didn't it affect the American Working Class? Because the Republicans believe that if they put Corporations first, their added profits will "Trickle Down," eventually to the lower classes! This is an economic implementation by Republican President Ronald Regan. Regan was the first President to borrow money from the Social Security Trust Fund, and despite depleting American Workers retirement funds! Not unlike Trump when Reagan was the first President to leave office with the 1st National Debt of 2 Trillion. Trump left office with the highest deficit recorded by any President, a whopping 8 Trillion. Inflated Prices Americans are experiencing now began prior to Trump leaving. Because of COVID19 and a shortage of goods Corporations began raising their costs, as they capitalized on making maximum profits! The Republicans always favor Corporations and Business first and leave the Working Class Americans last, along with the elderly, the poorer classes and including College Students. Trickle Down Economics! That's what they're Project 2025 targets, SS, Obama Care, targeting the Union Movement, and firing 50,000 Government workers inorder to completely take control of the U.S. Government! Don't fall for their fonyism and use "Of The Big Lie." Vote them out November 5th 2024.

      @dribrom 20 часов назад

      @@j.t.r1409 That depends where you draw the line between the working class and the middle class. But regardless how bad you think the Democratic party is there are no economic benefits from voting Republican if you're not earning a minimum of 100.000 a year. In fact, if you earn less then 100.000 you will struggle financially more under a Trump administration than a Harris administration.

    • @j.t.r1409
      @j.t.r1409 20 часов назад

      @@dribrom But you have a blind spot, most police officers usually make under 100,000 a year, and there are other examples as well. We have class warfare in the US, not a culture war as some believe. Culture is a distraction for the deeper class issues. Both parties have neglected working people which is why populism is trending so much. It should have been Bernie Sanders v. Trump, but Bernie capitulated. He quickly people forget.
      Instead of working class being the steel factory worker, now that person is the Amazon worker. No one is speaking to these people, but some believe an agent of chaos gives them a slim chance, there they had zero chance before.

      Yeah, it's unbelievable how much people will vote against their own interests--not even just economic interests. Black people or hispanic people or Jewish people or Gay People or Women or Working class people that vote for Trump are absolutely DELUSIONAL, they have no idea what they have unleashed on themselves. Say goodbye to labor unions, and any chance of better pay or protections for you at work, because HALF of the union guys in this country are straight up going to voting against their families own economic interests.Trumps going to start deporting Mexicans that are here LEGALLY. Trump calls Mexicans Rapists and Murders, yet hispanic voters in America vote for him. He's literally deported their friends and family, and denying asylum to people fleeing violence in South American--and American latinos are voting for him. He plays footsie with Nazis and Afrikanners, and yet Black men want to vote for him. He wants to turn women in this country into breeding machines with no rights, yet many "Christian" women want to vote for him. Gay Republicans--you think President Trump isn't going to come after you? I mean, I'm a white, middle class cis het blue eyed blond hair arying-looking motherfucker, and Trump scares the SHIT out of me...and minority groups aren't scared? I am forced to conclude that America by and large is full of just extremely stupid, angry bigots who have Stockholm syndrome.

    Working people can be just as filled with racism, misogyny, and other retrograde attitudes as any other people in this world.
    Add economic resentment, and you have a volatile population who feel general society isn't working for them. They are open to the radical Right.
    On the other hand, a substantial section of working people who have more skills and opportunities, who are aspirational, tend to also be more tolerant and hopeful in attitude.
    In American history, Democrats bringing together that aspirational portion of working people with the middle class were able to inaugurate progressive legislation.
