It may be "suggestions" and "guidelines"... But a code is a code, and there are always hardlined rules. Every pirate knows it, every freighter and mover knows it, even most of the Longarms know it... First and foremost, you don't kill if you don't have to. Its bad for you, and its bad for everyone like you. Second, if you do kill, you make it quick. Torture is for the godless and the damned. Third, if you damage a vessel beyond saving, you take the crew of said vessel and drop them at the nearest port. Don't have to be nice about it, but you don't leave them to die. And, finally... If you start breaking any of these three rules, you'd best believe that the bounty on your head won't be what causes the bigger and badder to want you dead. No, you overstepped, and broke the Unbreakable Tenants of the Code. Which means every pirate, from King and Queen down to beginner will desire your head on a plate...
And let's not forget... that it could led to a more dangerous pirate gunning for revenge if a family member or children of that pirate gets taken off the census by the others actions
True i think its because they feel more real than happily ever after and just mixes you inside should I be happy should I be sad, and that last so long
A good story and a good kill. Freighter cap gets enough creds for a new ship or two, pirate cap gets revenge and takes a rouge rogue cannon off the deck.
queen anne reborn, there was a ships whit a similar name a former french man o war, captured by one of the most feared pirates in history, the queen anne's revenge, of edward tich, more comonly known as black beard,
Don't know don't care, the fact that there were kids in the picture would suggest that Daws is a women, but even in history on many ships where groups of men were kept toghether for long times relationships bloomed (Matelotage on wikipedia)
@@TheOGSpartanNinja Multi Level Marketing? *shrugs* Maybe that was a picture of him and his kids, he went to piracy to avenge his kids. Maybe that was his brother. Or... maybe it was his lover. Who knows. Doesn't matter, justice was served.
Gay couple, with most likely adopted kids. The issue is not the make-up of the couple, what matters to the narrative is that Daws partner was most likely on that civilian transport with said kids that the bugs destroyed and this was a "payback" scenario.

"A man's word is his bond"
There is just something about bittersweet endings that tucks at the heartstrings.

When one pirate doesnt follow the code its bad. When they kill civvies and dont listen they afe dead
They may not die... And, not dying is the worst thing that can happen to them.
So a wolf that stalked an antelope and attacked was also being stalked himself by a tiger!
And the antelope was working with the tiger to srew over the wolf.
@@Verboten_Joey And all because that wolf decided to torture and kill a baby, and not even eat it...
A tiger Who made a deal of a lifetime with said antelope😊
Golden rule: Don't cross the line to such a point that thieves and pirates are actively hunting their own kind.
A good story and a good kill.

I KNEW it had to be more personal, but I didn't figure it out. Well done.
Love the Thumbnail, Spacepirate Captain Harlock. The Story as good as ususal. Nice.
The Arcadia is such a beautiful vessel
dang it, herd this one before but the ending still gets me.
Bless the Narrator
Bless the Author
Ah, when it's more than just the pirate code. Neat.
Our rules don't exist to protect or hide us. They exist to save you, from us.
Nothing like vengeance of a space pirate
That ending came in like a GRB. Fuck.
"Code is the law"
Oh boy, that was sad. Poor guy.
So, it was VERY personal for that pirate captain... Very close and personal. Those Andrexi murdered the wrong civilians.
The hunter becomes the hunted.
Damn it narrator, where was the onion warning
Title should have been warning enough. Black flag.
That's good stuff.
That ending 😢
We should be careful on money useage,if you are not spending to earn back, then stop spending.
Why are we making hulls of Damascus?
Because it's pretty.

Good story, good narration, sad ending.

orcs orcs orcs orcs ….
mmm yes story
For the Algorithm the story and the voice 🎉
For the code
This story's spelling of "plume" irks me.
Humans yep kill someone we love and we'll endure hell just for the chance of revenge
wood steel ☝🏽 you sir are a word Smith but not a very intelligent one...
Sir, I encourage you to read and listen to that section again. It's wootz steel, not wood steel.

Gay Pirates >>>> Regular pirates
Regular pirates had cabin boys though. . .
Vibes of R. Stevens The pirate song XD.
So Daws is SHE...or ?
Don't know don't care, the fact that there were kids in the picture would suggest that Daws is a women, but even in history on many ships where groups of men were kept toghether for long times relationships bloomed (Matelotage on wikipedia)
Did say another man, so I’m pretty sure it was a MLM couple.

Dawes was referred to as male throughout the story.
