I recently did The Kiss Diamond Dotz Masterclass and I had trouble with running out of a couple of drills too. It really surprised me. I love the way it turned out though.
I’m finishing Tree of Life Diamond Dotz Masterclass and have one color way short of enough diamonds and some very close so far. Fortunately I have tons of spares and will make it work, I’m almost done and don’t want to wait for replacements. It is beautiful though!
March was the beginning of my diamond painting journey and I love it! I’m getting ready to begin my 3rd canvas. Thank you for all the information you share!
I'm just getting started on diamond painting. Started in January and I am addicted 😁. I was buying off Amazon and Temu but now I know better. Working on my first DAC Yorkie & Magic books. I have 7 others in my stash for when I get done. A suggestion for the next year one is to do mood instead of temperature. I've done that crocheting a blanket
Oh i would love to see some of the old DAC . Love what you have finished..they all look fab! xoxo March I was able to complete two diamond paintings. A very large Unicorn canvas and a Hannah Lynn halloween "Candi" canvas. I am hoping I can join in the JadedGamboree Event ( I ordered 4 kits), just hope I get them on time. Fingers crossed. Currently working on a DAC kit exclusively for Amazon the Rita Konya Arctic Fox..i needed a smaller kit to give myself a break til the Jaded Gem Shop kits come in. Thank you for sharing the various events going on. This is my first year to participate after a much long hiatus. xoxo
Really enjoyed the review of your month. I just started diamond painting. My first projects were a set of 10 mandala coasters, a set of 6 cat coasters & a dragonfly (12” x 12” - sorry not in cm!). I have 5 kits waiting 😂 and currently working on Greet the Morning from Diamond Art Club. (I’m NOT a morning person, but somehow it just spoke to my soul 💜)
Thank you for sharing your month in review, Katie! I love seeing all the beautiful paintings you complete! I would love to see a dedicated review for your tiny, ancient DAC. I would love to hear your thoughts on it. I was able to complete 2 diamond paintings in March. I completed Easter Dragon by Randal Spangler and Seize the Day by Chuck Pinson. I am now working on Puppies and Butterflies from Captured By Radiance - this is my first one from this company and its turning out really cute. I will be starting a Dakota Daetweiler painting soon, for the Dakotathon but I am waiting to receive it (a little mishap with shipping). It should be here tomorrow and I will start Close your Eyes. I have others but I really want to do this one! Hope you have a great rest of your week!
Congrats Katie on your finished kits! That archived one from DAC I’m shocked on the detail for such a small canvas it’s amazing. I too am a dragon lover I might not have a dragon for each month but I plan to do quite a few! I’m currently working on Irish Coffee Dragon by Stanley Morrison and Mystery #10 by Stanley Morrison! Both from DAC. Should have a complete on Mystery in a week or so!
That custom painting is phenomenal. I also loved seeing your photos from the actual event. I keep eyeing the dragon Diamond Dotz kit. However I’ve consistently heard about the issues with the drills. That’s so you Katie. A dragon a month is a great idea. Aaaahhh! The last kit is one I’ve tried to find through destashing, with no luck. She’s fabulous! I would definitely love to see a deep dive video on this one!
Cont. … for Dakotathon I am working on Saint. I always have a smaller painting going in the office, and that is Harmonie Glow by Sybille Art (Craft Ease).
Hi Katie, good morning from Los Angeles County. Love your completions and WIPS. I am still working on Golden Cocker Spaniel by Peggy Collins. Because of Sciatica ( or my fear of) I am standing while placing drills on the canvas. But eventually I will have to sit down. I purchased from Amazon Prime a Diamond painting of a Dachshund. All Crystal drills. Should be interesting. Love Dachshunds. Love Cocker Spaniels also. I am not participating in any events. My severely ADHD brain goes into anxiety and panic attacks. So, I take my time working on my Diamond Paintings.
I was literally just talking about how crazy your temperature dragon could be looking. If it were for my area. We had a couple days we had a FIFTY DEGREE DROP!
PS-I currently have three wips. I sometimes get bored with working on the same painting all the time. They are DAC paintings and two of them are quite large, so I switch between the two and I’m also working on a smaller one so that I can get a finish!
In March I completed Fuschia Hummingbird (DAC) for Creations Morin’s seasonal event. I completed the Oraloa kit Les Petites Miss: Ange for Mermaids and Magic. And Cottage by the Sea for the Chuckalong. Busy month. I am working on EnaMorte’s Broken Heart Hollow (just because I want to) and
I would love to see a post review of the older DAC kit. I wish I had the time to do what you can in a month. Then my stash wouldnt pile up so quickly. Dont be hard on yourself. I can hardly even do one in a month. Im participating in Dakathon with the kit Everest! I would have loved to do Chrissabug as well but there is just no way I could do both.
Great update vid as always. I'm currently working on Davy Jones' Locker, and I'm taking my time to savour it after the disaster that was Phases 🤯 I'm not sure about the arms on your mermaid WIP, however. Everything around it seems to be blended beautifully, but those arms... 🤔
I have that same issue, I have the space to store, work on and complete diamond paintings but time somehow isn't as available for me to diamond paint as much as I want. Currently working on #7 for this year: Everything is Better with Chocolate Chips on it by DAC and Randal Spangler!
I am new to diamond painting too. I have bought from Amazon. I have done mostly smaller canvases. I don’t have a lot of money, so I watch Micheals, Joann and Hobby Lobby for sales and coupons. Can you steer me towards some other places to buy. I’m a cry crocheter, but gotta tell you, this is very addicting. Love watching the unboxing and finishing of projects. Thanks❤️
Welcome to the craft! For budget kits, I definitely love the Make Market kits at Michael’s - there are a lot online, too. There’s a brand you can get on Amazon called Leisure Arts that is licensed and inexpensive too. And if you take advantage of sales, discount codes, and the reward system, Diamond Art Club can also be a budget-friendly option sometimes and are also just all around really wonderful quality.
I really learn so much from your channel. Your voice is so animated and cheerful. I’m still looking at your past podcasts but can’t seem to catch up as I like to keep current also. I have a question. Even though I also crochet, knit and color my go to is Diamond painting. But I find I can get bored easily working on just one. When you have WIPS HOW DO YOU STORE THEM SO THAT THEY ARE EASILY TO GET TO? I look forward to more from your channel.
Aww, thank you for the kind words! That means a lot to me! Unfortunately I don’t have an ideal setup for storing WIPs to swap through, but if you have the space, I recommend laying them flat. At one point I was laying mine flat on top of a cupboard 😅 I’ve also just loosely rolled them together, and then I kit up into Elizabeth Ward containers which the trays are stackable! I hope that helps!
Very rarely, but I have a few times! I use Minwax Polycrylic in Clear Gloss. Here’s a video I did demo-ing and explaining ☺️ ruclips.net/video/I4EvOZXbgqM/видео.htmlsi=6TS9GKAPGcEd7UMI
Nice work as always, how you can fit so many in with all your other responsibilities is beyond me, except for the fact that you are a dimond painting speed demon lolol
I've been in Colorado babysitting since March 5th... so I haven't been very productive with my diamond painting. I did participate in the #mermaidsandmagic2024 (a dragon-my 1st event ever 😊) and I have a Paint Gem masks kit. I won't be home until April 16th, I miss my car and my craft room and my stuff.

Wow! “Wanted” is absolutely gorgeous ❤
Love, love, love it 😍
I always love your month in review videos! You inspire me to keep going and to choose a variety of kits and companies! 💖💖
I love the mermaid diamond painting. She's beautiful 😍💜🧜♀️
I'm loving your dragon temperature kit so far. The glitter drills are so pretty. ✨️ 😊🐲
Yes! I would love to see the post review of such an "old" diamond painting from DAC.

great month of finishes!
I would love to see a post review of this painting!
Your signed custom is absolutely gorgeous! Great job. You are amazing…I’m lucky if I can complete one painting in a month!

I’m always in aww over your completed pieces. I finished Seasons Change by DAC. I was thrilled with my finish. Love singing your completed pieces.
Your temp dragon looks great! I did the intervals of 5 degrees so poor Larry has a bunch of areas that are just one color for multiple days

Do you seal your diamond paintings? If so, what do you use?
Very rarely, but I have a few times! I use Minwax Polycrylic in Clear Gloss. Here’s a video I did demo-ing and explaining ☺️

Does Jaded gem shop give you drills with customs?
They do!

I’m doing Dakotathon. It goes through May so there’s time for you to join!
I recommend Archer & Olive again for a notebook 🥰 They have many sizes and they have lined, nonlined, and dotted!
BTW: BIGGERISBETTER still works. 😂
May I ask why the title says 4 wips but you only showed 2 lol 🫶🤭🤣🤣
In the intro she said 2 - 4 wips
I explained in the video 😅
