Hello friends!
Welcome to my Year in Review of 2023 and gallery of finished diamond paintings I've completed in the past year! This was my third full year of diamond painting and I loved trying out a TON of brand new diamond painting shops this year. I completed a grand total of 43 (yes, FORTY THREE!) diamond painting kits at a wide variety of size points and complexities.
I hope you enjoy a snapshot of each of these kits - we'll go through them chronologically from the beginning of the year. Links to each of the shops featured may be found below.

I have to say…my favorites are Outside the Sweet Shop and Glass Mermaid. They’re all beautiful but I’m drawn to those two particularly. I’m hoping I can get my hands on each one. Thank you so much for sharing your work with us. Sending love and light from Nashville. ❤🤗
I'm planning on getting a bunch of PaintGem kits because they look like fun, and also now you've bought a bunch of cute patterns that also work for cross-stitch or Perler beads. Yay for the versatility of pixel art!
Even though ones with more confetti can take a lot long I also much prefer them as when there is big blocks of one colour I get bored quickly. So changing colours often keeps me interested.
Fantastic !! It's one more gorgeous then the other. Not only you have good taste but are a fast and precise placer. I just ordered a portfolio to put my first ever diamond painter 😂 but i am so proud of myself. And i had to order "beauty in chaos" beautiful and expensive. Thank you much to inspire me.
Hi Katie, I truly admire your productivity!! I kind of completed about 8 canvases. Would have been 10 or more, if I hadn't lost both of my parents in 2023. I wasn't able to paint for weeks. Now I started again, to regain mental rest...
Also, it was lovely to see the finished kits, like Beauty in Chaos, that I bought because I saw you unbox them....

I love the variety in color, style and shops you shared with us this year. Thank you, Katie! I am happy that I was able to complete 9 paintings this year, my favorite of which was “The Apprentice” by Kat Fedora from Jaded Gem Shop. I really loved the confetti challenge and the feeling that each section was a completely new puzzle to figure out and complete. I’m heading into 2024 with 3 remaining WIPs, but am no longer guilting myself over it. Looking forward to what 2024 brings as far as new shops, new art, and whatever other new surprises innovative shops bring our way. This is such a fun and fulfilling hobby/craft, and a wonderfully supportive community. ❤

Impressive! All your finishes is one of the reasons why I enjoy your channel so much. I think my favorite finish of 2023 was I Am Brave from DAC by Lisa Francis Judd.
I think your cross stitch panels even out with your snack sizes in the end! So any hate you get can be redirected to the local landfill. Love revisiting the year with ya! 🥰

I've only completed 6 painting in 2023. But I only got into diamond painting at Thanksgiving time. I am a long haul trucker so I don't have a lot of time on my hands, To seat down and work on them.
That's amazing Lindsay! So many finishes AND hosted 2 events AND your Holiday Live collaborations AND meeting your Kiddos special needs... You are awesome! What a year for you! oh and thank you for taking the time to go through each canvas briefly (some were new to me as I was clueless to DP for the 1st half of the year and didn't find you til later in the year, lol). And for adding the titles with kit info (IK that is extra work), and the diversity in shops. Enjoyed your Year in Review very much!!! Bravo!!! 🎉🎊💎💗💎
These are fantastic! I love the DAC Margaret Morales kit. I'm patiently waiting for one of hers to restock. I hesitated when they were released and I've regretted it every since.

I store mine back in the box the kit came in. I wish I could hang them all on the wall but I'll be moving at the end of 2024 so I have to pack them up as I go. After working on them I like to keep them just because I like looking at them too. Thanks for sharing your completions I enjoyed it.

Ended up placing an order at PaintGem. Too cute to pass up, honestly. Treated myself to 3 sets even though I'm not a fan of the square diamonds but they're small enough that it shouldn't be too big a deal lol

What I most liked to work on this year was ‘Jack O’Lantern Time’ by Randal Spangler/DAC Now I’m hooked on their paintings and ordered some more Spangler ones 🙈

Wondering how many hours a day you put into this hobby?
It varies, since I have kiddos and a variety of plates to keep spinning, but typically at least 3 hours a day. I’ve gotten double that before, too!
@@DiamondsandWashi I’m a single placer because my multi placing looks awful. Therefore I can paint a block of 10x10 cm in 3 hours. So I really am amazed by all your beautiful, big paintings you’ve finished! Am so looking forward to your monthly reviews 😊
I love all your projects! This was the first year I really focused on diamond painting at all and completed 6 throughout the year with 2 WIPs going into 2024. I’ve enjoyed your content while I diamond painted throughout the year and plan to continue watching your progress. Thank you for sharing 💙

I started in August and have completed 15 kits! Only 12 were licensed (I did 3 before I knew better 😂)

Magic Encounter - Carat Art looks like the trees, back of the animals head etc are all glowing from the "light" coming from the stars and yellow glow above their heads. Again, amazing work!!! What was the storage you mentioned for finished pictures. I think I've missed it...
I have 30+ diamond paintings and I store mine each in a picture frame stacked on top of eachother. I have Velcro command strips added to each frame so I can change out which 1 I display every now and again on my wall.
I started following you this summer when you were working on the Dance Class by E. Degas. I loved it so much that I went & bought it. It has been one of my favorites I completed this year ❤ Thank you for all you do & Happy New Year!!

I enjoyed this immensely. If I could only do this. But I cant seem to stay on one for very long. Oh well. Like you said....I love the craft so thats the goal! I just counted and I surprised myself. Really enjoyed the year in review. I joined your channel around June so it was neat to see what you had completed before that and to revisit some of the ones i had seen you complete. I only completed 5 or 6 and one wip coming into 2024 as I took a break for a few months. Getting back into it now and enjoying it. Cant wait to see what you have in store for this year! ❤😊
I completed 5 diamond paintings this year. 4 from diamond art club and 1 from dreamer designs. My favorite diamond painting I worked on is modern stone age family from diamond art club. I hope you and your family have a happy new year.

I'm just now getting into the world of DP & your videos are so enticing & educational. My question - several of your kits seem to have "frames" around the finished painting. Do you do the frames yourself (washi, maybe) or do the kits come that way?

I completed 6 diamond paintings. All from Diamond Art Club. Fuji Flora, Life Of Tigers, Glass Mermaid, Dreaming Of Being Human, Back To Wonderland, and last but not least Collide. I'm a huge Dakota Daetwiler fan clearly, lol
These all look really good. Thank you for showing a large array of shops. I really want to branch out to new shops. Most of my kits are DAC and I love them, but I want to give some different companies a try in 2024.

I have stats! That was fun and interesting. I completed 35 Diamond Paintings and 1 notebook. I worked on 8 different companies. 13 squares, 21 rounds and 1 special drill. The largest was The Old Shoe House at 105 x 70. And I placed approximately 1,442,525 drills. WOW, thats a lot! Thank you for doing this, Katie! I am going to start keeping track.

I've only completed 5 because I'm new to diamond art!
With my full time job I only have about 1-2 hrs a day to diamond paint. Wish I had more time.
I completed 5 kits this year and about a 3rd of the way through my 6th. I only started diamond painting this year and my first kit took me 6 months as I decided to go big or go home with completing Descendant of the Volcano. I feel throughtout the year I have learnt alot and have gotten quicker at completing kits so hoping for maybe more next year

Gorgeous finishes this year Katie! I actually outdid my 2022 numbers! I did 62 events. 87 full drill completions and 45 special drills/partials. Super proud of myself! I’ll try to match it in 2024.

I've only completed 1 this year but I have been going through a lot with my husband being ill then passing in May I have about 3 started 1 didn't come with enough diamonds so I was disappointed and contacted the company about that I'm going to get back to it in the new year I have over 100 in my stash I'm going to try and do 1 a month in 2024

I only started really watching your channel with every upload since june this year, so this was a great catch up to see what you did before I tuned in! Keep upthe great work! Love the variety that you provide and can't wait to see what you work on next year. I completed 5 kits since I started diamond painting in June! All DAC, dragon attack, the beast, panda bears, god of thunder, and be your own hero, and one WIP going into 2024, Glass Mermaid.

So fun to see them all together! I finished 14 kits, and about one month (plus a few tiny ones) is probably my goal for next year. I'm most proud of finishing the giant Dakota (What Lies Beneath). My other goal for next year is to buy fewer...my stash at my current rate is about 5 years worth or more!

Hi Katie, good morning from Los Angeles County.
Thank you for your review. I finished I believe six budget kits. I have a least six WIPs I believe all from DAC. What stopped me was weird Sciatica in my left leg.
Next year I want to kit up and work on Golden Cocker Spaniel by Peggy Collins. This canvas is Sold by DAC. Cocker Spaniel are my second favorite breed after Dashshunds.
I am "patiently" waiting for Catch Me by MrsbutterD, but it feels like it's never going to be back in stock at DAC!

Hi there! Starting out, I’d probably recommend storing them flat in a large artist portfolio, maybe with a sheet of cardboard or foam board to give it some structure. I’m kicking around some other storage solutions now that I have nearly 150 finished diamond paintings to store, and it’s on my radar to do a video on this this year because it’s been so highly requested! ☺️

Those cross-stitch conversion panels are amazing..how are you going to join them all together eventually?
That’s a good question! I want to test out a couple different ideas including glueing and stitching. Maybe I’ll get to that this year!

I am new to your channel. Your content is very helpful. How do you store your paintings when you are in the process of completing them?
Thank you! I’ve tried a few different things like storing them flat in portfolios or rolled in the original box, but am not quite happy with any of my solutions, so I may try some other options in the new year.
Where do you buy frames that hold the bigger ones? Googling everything for diamond painting frames are 30x40 size?

Do you seal them all when done? To prevent any from popping if you're going to roll?
I almost never seal them, no. Typically the quality of the glue seems to be good enough that it’s not been an issue. I’m not sure how long-term (years and years) this might be the case, though!

I truly appreciate that you highlight different shops in your videos, and especially all shops that legally license their artwork! I stop watching year-in-review videos if they include a lot of kits purchased randomly from Amazon and not a reputable company.
Where are you located in the world, I’m in Australia. Which companies are great ones that ship to me at a reasonable cost ty.
If you like an artist and they won’t license, I think you can buy artwork and get custom made Diamond art. As long as you don’t sell it I think it’s okay.
