Hi Jen! As a viewer of yours who happens to be legally blind, I actually really appreciate those ‘’redundant’’ descriptions. It means I can actually know what I’m buying for my cousins when I go to the store, and I don’t have to rely on anyone that works there to explain to me what I’m buying (other than what’s written on the box maybe). I’ve been enjoying your channels for the past… who knows how many years because of this. Know that your attention to detail is super appreciated!!!! Even if you don’t think so!
@@NexJen honestly it’s super helpful, because you describe anything from the hair to the texture to what’s inside, to the things you need to do, etc etc. it’s been lovely to not feel so helpless when all I want is to get some toys for my family members
It's a nice set and I like that they gave her steed some dragonlike features. Pixlings have always reminded me of Shoppies, but this one in particular is just screaming Rainbow Kate to me. I have the old Unia, but I appreciate that this one is different enough where it doesn't feel like the same doll twice.
Thank you for sharing this! I usually feel silly for loving dolls so much! Also I get to see so many ones I cannot get! Your energy for them gives me life! ❤
I can’t hear the word Pegacorn without thinking of Carl the PugaPegacorn. An original character from the D&D Minus podcast but he has appeared in other Puzzle in a Thunderstorm productions… none of their stuff is kid friendly but they have some awesome shows
Can't wait for these to hit the stores here in Mass! I'm obsessed with these dolls! They're sooo cute! Side note: have you seen the Yummi Land dolls? Omg I want them all! lol
I absolutely love how they didn't just reference bird wings when designing this creature, birds indeed are technically very evolved dinos so they do have scales and whatnot, just not as visible or apparent, and so Moose must have had some very nerdy biologists working for them when designing RS! hahaha I love it too! I might get Unia and her maybe, but as someone that just wants the doll and accessories and doesn't want to do the magic bit, at least not alone, how would you think I could just get them NIB without, well, doing the potion reveal?
Hmmm perhaps you can buy second hand in a few months if someone loses interest? It's hard to say but I understand your reasoning not to do the reveal. My friend is the exact same. You could just open the doll and save the ingredients and potion bottle to give to a friend who has a child. It tell the parent to put a surprise or something in? Make sure they don't get excited for the doll. That would be awful... Make sure they know it's for the magic hahah
I’m newest to pixlings and so diving into all the video content I can. This was good fun, esp as I’m not familiar with the to programme, just the dolls. Will you show shimmer verse Unia with her hair out? If you go ahead and do that. I’m always really curious about how people have customised them, even if it’s a hair wash and restyle. 🤩
I only have a few complaints. Why does the pegacorn have dog/cat paws and not hooves? Why does it have a lion/dragon tail and why butt wings? lol, it’s so weird, I love it. Hopefully I can get myself one to add to my weird collection!
@@DoveJS are you more than 100 years old? "Odell Shepard coined the English word "alicorn" in his 1930 book "The Lore of the Unicorn". The word has seen wide usage since then."
@Bananacustardcostuming Odell Shepard only used the word alicorn to refer to the unicorn's horn. 1982 edition; page 101 *In order to avoid repeated cacophany I shall use the word “alicorn” to mean “unicorn’s horn” wherever it seems convenient to do so in the following chapters. This is not quite a neologism ; it is an adoption of the Italian word alicorno.* Edit: the book is available on the Inter net Archive. Also, the Pegacorn has claws, it doesn't have hooves, and as Jen noted, there are other dragon-like traits such as the teeth and the length and thickness of the tail. Second Edit: Wikitionary has an Italian word Liocorno which is a blend of lione (“lion”) + unicorno but it just means unicorn. Alicorno is apparently a variant on that. Liocorn fits very well for this creature and I'm sure Odell would approve.
@@florranightwalker Yes, it's pretty cool! :D I will add, My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic adopted it as a term for a winged unicorn, in some official capacity, and to be fair, the Italian word Alicorno does mean unicorn so it's not wrong. They basically did the same thing as Odell Shepard, by applying it to something else closely related in order to create a new name for ease of use. I was just being cheeky with my first comment because I had Gen 1 MLP as a child.
I really like the color palette for the new Unia! The pinks and purples looked way too samey on her first design/doll, even if the star gem is so cute. I've wanted to get at least one of these dolls from any of the series but I can't right now. However, the insistence to put pink in every single doll mildly annoys me (with the exception of Fae, I guess, since pink is a natural color to go with green, and of course the mermaid/siren character's blue-green would naturally go with a coral pink because that's complimentary.) So I'm leaning towards any doll that doesn't seem to be drowning in pink. Shimmerverse Unia's yellows and blues with occasional white accents feel balanced with the abundance of pink and while the teardrop gem should be white, the magenta looks very CMYK. If only she had some black in her palette! (I thought you were making a printer joke like that until I realized you meant your actual printer lol.) Still, the insistence on pink annoys me here too... it's like Celestia toys being forced to be pink until they created Cadence to be the Pink Alicorn of MLP and Twilight became the Purple Alicorn. Silly marketing, kids like colorful toys! So it annoys me when companies think girls will only ever want those two colors (especially since some boys would like them too if they weren't shamed for it.) Anyway, I'm super eager to see a Supreme Doll review! I love the articulated knees already from the box lol. ALSO I see the Pegacorn doesn't have articulated knees either... at least the front legs and tail are articulated and maybe having permanently stable legs in the back makes it easier to stand up but lol how sad neither of them can bend at the knee. At least the company was consistent I guess? What's a girl gotta do to get some bending knees around here?! I guess she has to grow taller! Also, sincerely surprised they didn't paint her plastic bottom on her; could've been pretty continuing the yellow for a bodysuit or else the wing accent colors in a rainbow stripe. I know they always mold pant ies on dolls now but it feels so cheap how they leave it the same color as the body.
@@NexJen the Huggabunch wow I remember wanting them, I remember the live action movie. I remember the girl having to go in the mirror to go to their land or something.

I really love how you do your reviews. I find it so entertaining and informative.

Off topic: I saw an article recently that there is an airbnb offering a polly pocket experience. Life size I should say.

Pagicorn?? Back in my day they were alled alicorns 👵
Back in my day there was no uniform naming conventions for this type of critter lol

Exciting
I believe a horse wirh unicorn and winged properties is called an alicorn
Hahha not in pixia hahah
unia's original design is bi colors and unia's new design is pan colors.

Hey nexjen in your vid you didn't seen rainbow star but you were wrong I saw in episode 7 rainbow star is added
Omg are those the Huggables I see in the left corner of the screen?
Yes those are a couple of my Huggabunch babies. I did have them in the background on the white shelf forever but I'm rearranging things now.

Omg hi 👋
I don't know why they call Rainbow star a pegacorn. She's obviously a dragocorn. They should just own it.
