- The year was 2024... The day was... I can't remember, but I found a super damaged but complete Bratz Salon and Spa Playset from 2002!
I've never cared for Bratz, never had or opened one... But today's the day! Join me as I open and check out my first ever Bratz doll and Playset.

It's insane about the quality of playsets back in the day. Today all of those accessories would be single-coloured plastic with no embedded glitter, no fabric, no doubles and definitely no included makeup.

I had this spa play set when I was a child and it was my absolute favourite! Fianna, the doll from this set was my favourite Bratz doll and character, i thought she was so beautiful and I took that doll everywhere with me, I did give her a set of real clothes from one of my other dolls 😂😅 I loved her big forehead since I also had a big forehead 🤣
I find it quite humorous that you’re so critical of Bratz dolls with their big heads and big feet, yet you have a vast collection of Rainbow High dolls behind you with their big heads and big feet, and have done countless videos of LOL OMG doll videos with their big heads and big feet, saying nothing negative about their features during their reviews 😁 I’m seriously trying to figure out how Bratz are so different and deserving of such criticism when RH and OMG got no shade 😆 It’s almost comical ✨💖✨
I have previously commented on those factors actually 😅it took time for me to grow into the lines and want them. I was super critical of them in the beginning. I think it's just really not my style when it comes to the Bratz for the same reason I'm not a fan of my scenes either.

The way this doll keeps squeaking is bringing me all the way to early 2000s. What a nostalgic sound it is!
This Version Was Released In 2003, Which Was The Very First Time We See FIANNA In The Franchise.
The Version With DANA Was Introduced/Released In 2002 As The First PlaySet.

I had this as a kid and I ended up turning it into a little vacation bar by a fake pool with little fairy lights and a grill and everything. It brought me so much joy. I'm so incredibly jealous of your find. Wonderful video as always Jen

Omg im happy you give a chance to bratz but please give second chance! Fiana is the only bratz with a big forehead ( that’s her unique feature) I would like to see you do another playset unboxing or react to bratz ad or bratz series/movies. Bratz was everything to me when I was young. Young girls love their fashion style and the makeup it’s a whole vibe
I got this set for Christmas as a child from someone who didn't know I wasn't a Bratz fan (the removable feet weirded me out) but I loved the set and all the little accessories. I used them with my Barbies and my scene dolls for years. Watching you unbox it brought back vivid memories of childhood Christmas in my grandma's house
I’m going through a bratz obsession and I’ve made loads of bratz videos and I’ve been binge watching bratz content online! So refreshing seeing a video that has been uploaded recently 😁
I don't care about bratz and I was already an adult as this thing came iut, but this absolute chaos was wonderfull.
I love the color palette on this set! It's something other than just pink or purple lol plus it's very fresh and funky; it feels fitting for a Bratz Spa. Also the incredible attention to detail in this play set is great! I was never a huge fan of the Bratz dolls (lol or My Scene) but gotta respect what they brought to the mass market doll world back in the day (namely fashion that felt more relatable or timely.) I've always enjoyed Barbie but I agree a monopoly is never good. Plus having variety just gives everyone more options and freedom of expression. Different people like different things even if we can't fathom how they could enjoy something we dislike and it's easy to forget that while examining discourse online because of the bias reinforcement of recommendation algorithms.
I will say I'm also not a fan of gross sticky vinyl though and I suspect a lot of people feel similar lol. Maybe the mixture of different types of plastics between the packaging and the play set pieces created a chemical reaction? Then their surfaces started breaking down over time. Hopefully cleaning them off with some soapy water and just letting them air dry will remove the icky texture but you have my condolences if it doesn't! I also hope you're able to clean out those lip glosses and nail polishes and replace them with something that hasn't expired. It's a really fun play set but that's an unfortunate disadvantage to including the real makeup aspect.
I don't like Bratz either so it is fine. Back in the day, at least in Brazil we had a doll named Suzi to "compete" with Barbie. I have one I inherited from a cousin that passed away, it is from the 70s and I still love her. In Japan there are Licca and Jenny too. I don't know about other countries but some probably did/still do have some dolls that were popular (but of course less popular) than Barbie. I had a Barbie for a year or so until my brother cut out her hair and wiped out her face with acetone. Now I could say he was preparing her for a makeover but back when I was a child it was devastating. My mother never gave me another Barbie after that incident, so that's when my cousin gave me a Suzi doll because she was already a young adult (she was starting her University).
Eu tive uma Susi tbem, mas dos anos 2000, ela era uma nadadora. Mas tbem nunca fui muito de Bratz, mas sempre invejei a qualidade e quantidade de acessórios XD Minha dinda tem várias Susis antigas, é bem interessante de ver, sempre bom achar brasileiros nos canais gringos ^^
Bratz were my favorite. I had them for around 4 years before giving them away. voiceover jen reinacting the footage is so fun to watch. This would have been a really cool set to own. I bet its actually cheaper than it was back then as new playsets and exclusive dolls were known to be. Might have actually been around the same price point as you paid.

I was a big Barbie fan, but I did have one brazt doll. I was terrified of losing the brazt shoes because they don't have feet without shoes.

This was great just an update this is the second release the first one was blue with Dana. And getting that thing out and together lol gosh I remember buying it for my daughter she was super excited lol my son got the first release of Unicron that year when toys were a lot less money lol I paid $30 US for each item
This set was actually the last doll toy I got as a child (before I started collecting again as a teen) SO nostalgic
That’s a great playset! I definitely think that it would work well for similar 1/6 size dolls. I don’t think that this girl was the best into to Bratz as she was a budget style doll compared to the other Bratz dolls available, but if they aren’t your jam that’s ok. I’d definitely recommend keeping the robe and towel for the place so other dolls can still use them. It’s very nice to consider sending a friend the doll and I’m sure she’ll be loved in a new home.
Bratz has always been only okay as a doll line to me. I don't dislike it, but I don't connect to it nearly as much as other MGA doll lines. I also always found their faces to look weird compared to Barbie as a kid, and I never liked the removable feet and found them very weird. I'm glad that you got such a great find with that playset and that you were able to enjoy it as well!🖤💜

I'd part this out into various areas of my dollhouse and use the "spa" as a small deck and wading pool for the tots.

Its also nice seeing you giving the Bratz line a chance this is probably the best way of doing it too opening a older doll thats still in box because like obviously there are loose dolls you can buy but it definitely wouldn't invoked the same feelings and emotions in my opinion as opening one still in box the price is pretty good to. I love finding still in boxed goods from thrift stores/Charity Shops. I found a Beyblade from the 2000's mint in box and Rarity and Pinkie Pie Equestria girl's mint in box at a Charity Shop I used to work at you bet I snagged them. 😊 ❤
Put a little of baby powder to the sticky pieces, that will help get rid of the stickiness

I will admit tho , my love for Bratz was probably because I liked taking apart my dolls(I blame Chucky for this) and I liked small toys. Bratz eventually made Bratz babies which is what I loved the most xD

I SO appreciate you coming out publicly as someone who loves toys and dolls but does not connect with Bratz. I have been hiding in the shadows, watching as the reproductions roll out, forlorn at the sight of them reclaiming precious doll aisle self space--but too afraid to come forward. But no longer. I am a doll collector and I just cannot get into Bratz. I am fair and give them credit for the care and quality BUT. I just find them aesthetically arresting. And worst of all JUST GIVE THESE POOR GIRLS ACTUAL FEET. FEET THAT THEY DON'T HAVE TO SHARE WITH OTHER GIRLS IF THEY WANT A NEW LOOK. I'm not even asking for toes, not even a relatively functional nose or nostrils...but they deserve their own feet. Thank you Jen. I feel seen. And heard.

This is SUCH an amazing find!!! Especially intact. Now Fianna has always been the girl with a big forehead so please don't judge all the girls by her that way LOL! For being as old as it is the playset is definitely of great quality - and you were definitely meant to have all those extra furniture pieces off the sides of the playset - as the salon portion/playset was really just used for the chairs & tub - to make a bigger space. I think this set was issued 3 times, twice with Fianna and originally with Dana, and I really do hope while MGAE is reproducing Bratz classic lines that they give us some playsets eventually as well.
Oh really 🤣 I'm so happy that not all have massive foreheads and receding hairlines. I might have to find one at least ... That I can be ok with lol.

I had (have) the pink version of this although I wanted the blue one. I am definitely missing a ton of pieces but I was the happiest child when I got this for Christmas! I want to find a complete one but I think that would make me selfish. I never got to put water in it ( I wasn't allowed to put water in my water toys).
There’s a product called seche restore that fixes dried up nail polish! Nail polishes never actually expire :)

I had a few bratz growing up and even had that exact doll in a different model (she came with a tennis look) but i do not remember their foreheads being so prominent. Were they always like that?

Fianna is character with a big forehead like rihanna, not all bratz dolls have one, some people were even sad when her reproduction didn't have the big forehead since it's a characteristic part of her dolls.

Oh my goodness haha I think you may have slept through 4 years of content if that's the last memory you have of me and MGA. I have a love hate relationship with they products but quality is usually a factor. It was the LOL dolls I was stopping with because if those issues.

I wanted the Hello Kitty ones because I knew people would wonder what they'd be like, and my daughter loves Hello Kitty.
