Y’all having too much fun with this😂😂 I love it for you… and us! As for the church situation I’d say.In whatever context, allow people to show you who they really are and believe them the first time. Don’t change your metrics or put people on a pedestal just because you have met someone in a church context. People are just people, wherever you meet them. Proceed with caution, always, until you’re given a reason not to! Thoughts and Prayers!
Dating in the church can be complicated because as soon as people get to know that you are dating. They will start planning for your wedding, without giving you guys the time to grow in your relationship.
On Oscar's 6, during the wilderness there is a temptation to quit because it will always look like everyone else gets what they want faster or in a better way.
On Eli's 6, there was a time I quit on reading books because I felt like I was not applying the knowledge I was acquiring from them.
Learning that, the information I was consuming will help me in future is what helped me bounce back.
Conflict can make a relationship better if the individuals involved can accept their wrongs, forgive and apologize when need be.
Not repeating the same mistake is also a great indication that you are taking some steps forward, so that you reduce your chances of having the same conflict again.

I agree that as you evolve in Christianity, you actually become more liberal. More forgiving too. Less judgy. And it stops being about following a bunch of rules.

The "things pple don't talk about" segment is crazy. And this coming from a girl who grew up in the church. CHILD. Nobody will ever prepare you for dating in the church. Is there even a concept like that? Relationships generally move from friendship to courtship. No room for dating. That's why she said, "you date expecting this person will marry you".
Oscars 1st point was amazing. Rev. Cathy Kiuna preached a message on that years ago which she referred to the "Miracle middle". I was in my 20's when I heard that message, I am over 40 and that message still comes to mind when my miracle middle comes along.
Just wear the full armour of the Lord 😂 finding a good church is not eassssy

Oscar, I think conflict does help because sherehe and nice things won't weaken a relationship unless you are a witch and aren't happy in your happy moments with your loved ones. But getting through something heavy is a make or break. It could be gradual, but it is a make or break.

Gentlemen, the wilderness, which some people also call 'isolation' is a necessary part of the process, if we are to live out every good work that has been assigned to us by God. A friend compared it to carrying a child. It gets a point in pregnancy where you want the baby to be born because you are tired and it feels like it's been forever but that baby, ideally, will be born at the right time, the parents' convenience be damned. The wilderness is a season of being hidden, prepared and equipped for a new thing. This season happens over and over again in our lifetime, if we choose to live intentionally and you eventually get to a point where you embrace the wilderness because you have enough lived experience to know that it is a necessary part of the process.
You two are just amazing. The church thing and sharing your journey is inspiring. But

Ideally church relationships have soo much judgement because of the religious perfectionism pressure set on couples..from confessing they are virgins(when most times it’s hard for such couples as sex is ever hang on them) its a lot of pressure

If you guys are talking about dating in the body of christ as Eli claim then Oscar you have deviated , coz you are talking about the building , because if at all you are dating a Christian then you are dating in church within the body. You telling us you have not dated in church is telling us you have not dated a believer. Which might be a lie, but even if it were true stop making it sound cool because its not.
