John Ford's Love Letter to Ireland. The Movie generated Millions of badly needed Dollars for Irish Tourism...and still does to the present Day...... It had every cliche in the Book with beautiful landscapes and beautiful Maureen. Not to mention His alter ego_ The Duke!
Great film but my father once told me if he had treated my mother like that she would have simply stopped cooking and that would've been the end of it. I was born in 1953 2 yrs after the film.
Very nice and interesting I think it's from the nineties when many of the characters and witnesses could still tell their stories. The quiet man remains indelible in the history of cinema and I have always loved this film. Muy bonito e interesante creo que es de los noventa cuando muchos de los personajes y testigos aún podían contar sus historias. El hombre tranquilo sigue imborrable en la historia del cine y siempre me ha encantado esta película.
