- Very nice run with a lot of key moments good and bad. Being on potential wr pace at the very end was nothing more than a pleasant surprise so I didn't have any gripes about not getting it as my focus was just to pb. There's 3 segments I can capitalise on the most in future runs. Space Jump and Musky Missiles both being 11-12 seconds off my golds, along with the short and comparatively easier Plasma segment being 5 seconds off.
The good:
Fast fast Phantoon and my best kill time to date with 2045 (edit-new best is 2042)
Won the sexmaster lottery.
Clutched out Dray spike suit despite not getting blue suit
Gold X-ray segment
Entirety of late game post Musky missiles was strong + Tourian being close to gold
The bad:
Robot room disaster, lost 8.5 seconds.
Poor Space Jump + Plasma segments.
Draygon slow pattern (not my fault but notable time loss, 3-4 seconds).
GT mistake with missile management inducing a swipe, losing time + opportunity for more supers.
Following on from above, ninja pirates really stingy, had to fall back on 21+6 Ridley fight. Missing out on opportunity for 4-6 second faster fight.

What a great PB with some very near perfect segments and some room for big improvements. Wouldn't suprise me if WR is around the corner if you keep at it!
I am watch yout consistent Its SUPERB. But why not train 1 round Phantoon?. Its not seems that hard. Shiny make its 50% of the time around and its save a lot about RNG Shit. I just check button mach there is only few buttons you have to mach and hard swithc at end. I think your current stanard might aim 12:15. But if you train 1 round phantoon we talk abou 12:05. Its yout choice.
For me 1 round is very hard and not consistent so I don't currently see it as worth it if 99% of attempts will either result in a 2 round, or a 3 round because the first round went so badly with the stutter dopplers. When that happens it's painful, knowing I could've just done a 2 round.

1:03:48 is there a door screw wrap shot here that I’m unfamiliar with?!?
Yes right after laying the pb inside the blocks and when i roll out and land you can see a quick diagonal crouched shot into the wall right before i picked up the missiles. There's also a spot that works when falling from the top of the shaft too but that's tricky while moonfalling iir.

If you're on the edge of an elevator, pressing up to ride it will only work 50% of the time and I was simply getting very bad luck there. I'd had a prior run go bad so I was in a silent stroppy mood testing that elevator position until the bitter end lol. I do that sometimes when i'm not really into it. It was the games way of telling me to wake up and do things properly, ie get to the center of the elevator. Thank you!
@@Giganotabehemoth87 Thanks for the explanation and further background mood insight, haha. I thought that was a new strat' that made some transition slightly quicker, so had to ask. I'm just a casual speedrunner, so I only feel the stroppy kick in if it takes me more than three times to do Alcatraz. 🙂
