My daughter is headed to Sierra Vista to work for 3 or 4 months. She's never been to Arizona, I told her it was beautiful.
She should like it .. but does get hot in the summer ..

Good to see you Brett. Always enjoy your vids. Brings back a lot of good memories. Where I used to live in British Columbia, we had cats everywhere. Real good population of them. For folks that don't know, Mountain Lions are real good eating. Best done in an oven. The meat is white, but man they taste good. Keep 'er going Bud. That is really remote as that wilderness area is larger than a
number of States in USA
I believe this is the 100th anniversary of that wilderness and fortunately it’s still protected yet accessible to those willing to enter as if “Born 100 Years Ago”

What ever happened, so sorry, as I said a few times she was a keeper, she took care of you. it’s tough, I buried my old grullo gelding here a couple years back..he was 28 I believe…
I was driving through NM over the holidays, crossed the Pecos a couple times up north…I saw a place on the map named Vaughn….as I headed on to the Arizona desert. That was great work you did for you nephews hunt, setting up his camp.👍🏻. Keep up your adventures, lots of time…..hell , I am 83, in the summer coming 84….and still going places, not like you, but still up and out ! Brett ,I really enjoy your videos as do many others. My catahoula is always at my feet , probably a bad idea but she comes on her own and will paw my door until I let her in
Whine when she needs to go out, usually around 3 am lol
And she is lap trained.
45 pounds of her lol.
I don’t know how she would act in a pack of others like herself.
But solo she is pushing that golf ball you guys talk about every time I set her loose .

I know that you mean when you say, " a hard time getting used to not being in a hurry." I'm having a horrible time getting used to that. I have nothing I need to do, why am I always in a hurry?

That is my problem at age 73 when camping. Water tight wide mouth pee bottle on hands and knees. Nothing like a warm pee bottle on the feet in a sleeping bag. 😊

Your nephew wanted wilderness Brett, you can’t get more than this. It’s beautiful country, I have said before areas close to Payson Az country. Again sorry about loss of your mule Agnes, she was a trooper, but what a life she led riding with you and hounds, she saw beautiful country. RIP Agnes girl job well done-Kid Yuma

Question why did you leave the area. I know a family who has a homestead up in the Gila i had a picture of it once but lost it my friend is buried there.
Lots of reasons ... the fire for one .. people that helped me and lived on the other side moved out ... lost my good help for my business .. so selling it helped gain some freedom I have now .. Thanks

Animas means spirits, for what it's worth. Many the native that populated that country. Good hunting. They tended the moutains with fire too, which the Europeans seemed to eschew.

You saying you were on top of the world and looking down at mountains in the horizon reminded me of the times dad took us hunting at Sun Spot,Dog Canyon and Mud Road. Sad to hear about Agnes, the good ones are sure hard to replace. I always say it is like buying good gloves ,I lose them the first day but when I try to throw the cheap ones out of the truck window and they blow back in.

I got a 10x10 Tepee from Ellis canvas, 9 or 10 years ago. Really like it. Haven’t used in 4 or 5 years. Still have my little 7x7 from Big Bend , I used when I was on wagons. Thought about getting a bed tarp just like yours. May still.

The beautiful Black Range! I remember visiting a small house with a pond tucked in the mountains at the end of a mountain road (just past of Kingston) i was about 10 yrs old . Awesome memories with my grandpa !
I think that was my place .. old yellow house cabin and a pond ..
@@BrettVaughnB100 I went to find that place again , the last time they had the apple festival, and the house was gone(burned?), and you could still see where the pond was . I'm 53 years old now BTW. Was it your place ?

My friend quarter horse got that anybody took him and the vet come out and cut him open and it was about sending him by the side of a soccer ball did you fill your stomach up big old ball
