Great thing! I drive a 99 Jeep Wrangler and love it, but gonna buy a 83 W123 Station for long trips. It's like grandmas sofa on a boat, simple to maintain and just laid back travelling in style. Love that!
As a kid growing up in the 90s the w123 was my dream car. My great uncle had a green one to save money since it ran on off-road diesel and my friend's sister had a brown one ("the turd brown mercedes" I would always call it). Thanks for sharing your experiences with your collection.
There is nothing more depressing than driving in the prairies. I lived in the prairies for over 30 years and finally got out. Except for the dry air it has nothing.
1)Nobody, except perhaps the dog, had range anxiety. 2)There was no discussion about charging/refuel stations. 3)Even the dog appreciated how warm the under seat heating was even in the back seat. 4)No mention was made about turning off the heating system to save range. 5)There was no panic about making it to the next charger, or wondering if the car was going to brick itself. 6)Prior to the trip they didn't need to check the vehicle recall lists. 7)This whole vacation was compliments of NOT having a $1500 car payment.. 8)The 300TD didn't depreciate $1 this year, trip or no trip. It just makes more sense. Mine does, too!...😁
I am Canadian. I have a lot of relatives who live in the States especially Utah. The only speeding ticket I ever got was in Laramie Wyoming. It was in the day of 55 mph on those wonderful freeways. 55 was insane. I wonder how many politicians have driven the autobahn? American roads are far superior. I remember my Mercedes handled very well in snow.
Hey Jonathan, very unique place that scuba diving cave in Utah; I've been to Utah (Salt Lake City) on several occasions, and I remember it has a lot of Mormons 😅 I've been to the 'Four Corners' area too. Man, the S123 ran like a dream on the highway (knock on wood). Wyoming is as congested as ever 😄
She looks like she stepped out of a European tv commercial in the 70's when she's driving the 300TD. Classy woman and classy car. Congrats, my friend.
80s car commercial vibe 👌
Great vid. Keep them coming.
Thanks, will do!
I feel safer in my 300k miles 87 300d than I do in my 2020 jeep. Back when Mercedes stood for something.
I feel safer in a Yugo than any Jeep ever made, what is your point?
That's a healthy sounding diesel!
You've hit the jackpot with life, car, and woman. Congrats, brother. Happiness is a rare and fleeting thing. Enjoy it.
Gorgeous Diesel Benz
Thank you!

You seem to have some pre conceived notions of electric vehicles that are a bit unfounded, but slay I do love the wagon

Why does your 123 have sidepipes? Those didn't come stock...
Hi Mate!
A really, really special car.
The rear seats are heated too?
I wish they were.
