@@tuanas458 well this is for hunting and gafs are illegal on public lands, plus they can damage trees you'd like to hunt for many years even on private so as a first time climb up a tree with no branches this is really the fastest, safest, and simplest for me.

Wait a minute, you don't use a gaf system to climb? That's pretty cool. I tried the spurs and they hurt my shins. I'll have to look into this system.

How long of a piece of cable did you put in or on your rope end?
