      the ropes have to be there for safety purposes. it would be unsafe for the climber if there weren't ropes there...

      Its a cable system just untie the rope and ur ready.they install it during construction.sometimes u got to install ur own safety rope

      They do, they are used on wind turbines a lot. And they often use battery powered one.

    Someone with a broken weed eater and a belt tensioner came up with a unique ascender but not for me. Safety duck would have a load to hold....7 years ago I hope your still safe

    At the top of the rig I see a few different knots creating the anchor (alpine butterfly, figure eight). Do you have a close up picture or a name for the anchor? Looks interesting, want to learn more about it.

      Singapore stadium. Center on the rigging hub.

      the Chain hoists where connected before the rigging went up. So when the hub was lifted .We sent someone up with some ropes.

      I carry extra equipment. I can either abseil down or climb up with a cam device.

    Cant you put another pulley at floor level and tie a rope to the hitch of a pick up and have the pick up driver drive away to get up there? Seems like it would be a lot easier. XD

      There’s probably a safety option to still be able to go down I’m sure of it. I can’t imagine it would pass any safety inspection if you got stuck 100ft in the air 😅
