Someone with a broken weed eater and a belt tensioner came up with a unique ascender but not for me. Safety duck would have a load to hold....7 years ago I hope your still safe
At the top of the rig I see a few different knots creating the anchor (alpine butterfly, figure eight). Do you have a close up picture or a name for the anchor? Looks interesting, want to learn more about it.
Cant you put another pulley at floor level and tie a rope to the hitch of a pick up and have the pick up driver drive away to get up there? Seems like it would be a lot easier. XD
There’s probably a safety option to still be able to go down I’m sure of it. I can’t imagine it would pass any safety inspection if you got stuck 100ft in the air 😅
Jesus, petrol in close proximity to nylon rope 🤦🏻♂️ Not least a hot engine. Got to be the worst powered ascender design of all time 😵 Shunt is not a back up device 👎🏻
'Hello Leam ... yeah, I need to pee. Better stand aside down there'
Walkie talkie:oi,why is there lemonade all over the floor,i just cleaned it,oh wait nvm-
So basically, a spider. Human spider. You are doing spider tasks. That is a spider's job, weaving webs. Climbing lines. Spider. I like spiders.
What??
spider
Ok now this is just insanity. I thought the other video was bad.
I’m glad this guy never got hurt. He’s still uploading as of yesterday. Completely insane job, I don’t know how he does it so casually.
Now that is just downright convenient.
How do the ropes get up there anyway? Somebody must have been up before to put the ropes there?
the ropes have to be there for safety purposes. it would be unsafe for the climber if there weren't ropes there...
@@nicholasjohnson9694 He asked how the ropes got there. Not why they are here.
Same way the steel cables on top got there.
Its a cable system just untie the rope and ur ready.they install it during construction.sometimes u got to install ur own safety rope
Yep ya tie onto the beam anyway ya can.
This is awesome. I wonder if I would be allowed to use it in my field. They should have a battery powered one.
They do, they are used on wind turbines a lot. And they often use battery powered one.
Skylotec
are you using shunt for safety?
seems crazy to me to work that way
buy an asap or even a rocker
great view by the way
look closer

You don't need to post this everywhere, idiot
This was for the National Day event in Singapore?
Yes it was.
At 2:21 did he take off his safety? Or is another one of the cords also got a safety?
we are using one called a raptor and we run a saftey back up on the petrol motor as well as our back up
Yes I took the safety off. I edited out now .
Level 4 technique!
When you hear a weed eater and someone repeating “I’m Batman” for 5 minutes straight.
How you put the First robe on that fixing point up there. Do you use a slingshot or somthing?
The locals bum shuffle across the beam to put it in.
using a combustion engine for this device seems insane lol
Shunt as a backup!?
it's still usable
Level 4😂
@@golandanan bro that was so long ago I’m at level 11
Wish i had one of these in my tree climbing days
niiiiiice! incredible view
Somehow this is less scary than walking the pole one.
Why don't they just build it so you walk on the roof and lower down cables and ropes for lighting and stuff like that?
Unrelated, but I'm wondering what is in the seats? Or are they different color seats?
batman would need one of these
Like relying on a leaf blower 😱
New ride at Disney!!!!!!!!!
nice vid. what rope do you use?
Thank you. I used a Marlow rope 11mm semi static.

Just google, standard rope access y hang.
where were you the entirety of this video?
also, how did you get your rope up to those cables in the first place?
Singapore stadium. Center on the rigging hub.
the Chain hoists where connected before the rigging went up. So when the hub was lifted .We sent someone up with some ropes.
That thing needs a muffler.
It has one. It's just a flat little metal box..most meet California epa standards even.
Can that thing pull a logging chain from a 2 ton for 100 feet? in a minute?
When it 40°C with 90 humidity. 330ft roof
@@kitesurfingstardom that's radical. thanks
How you can keep calm while swinging on a rope at that heights ?
A very good trust in the system supporting you.
Trust in your equipment
so where do you sign up for this type of job?
What happens if you run out of gas mid way threw?
I carry extra equipment. I can either abseil down or climb up with a cam device.

Level 4? I’m pretty sure that both IRATA and SPRAT have 3 levels not 4…..
Its to wind people like you up
Used to be called "level 3/L" for Levitation... You had to go to India to learn it!
What if you run out of gas lol
Don't run out of gas
What happens if you run out of gas at the top? Can you still use it to get down safely?
There’s probably a safety option to still be able to go down I’m sure of it. I can’t imagine it would pass any safety inspection if you got stuck 100ft in the air 😅
Just have to do it manually like you would without the machine.
Where did you get that product?
