Hi Becca, I’m so happy your quilts were accepted. I love the Dusk to Dawn one…the colours sensational. Thank s for tips re fpp…..I would love to do one, one day. Xxxx🇦🇺
I just found you. I like your style and you are easy to understand. I am 75 and always look for hosts that speak clearly. I enjoyed your video very much. So glad I found your channel.
Just stay with what you love to do and you will do just fine. I never had a ribbon however, people are wanting to buy my quilts. I usually have one of the kind. Love your story and I usually please myself first. Again, you work very hard!!!!!
I am part of a quilt group. It isn't a guild. Every year we have a quilt show. Anyone who wants to show a quilt can. Not just group members but also open to anyone in the area. We even have a category for a quilters under 18. You can chose to have a quilt judged or not. We don't charge to enter a quilt. People are not charged to go to the quilt show but we accept donations. We get generous donations. We will be having around 200 items in the show next weekend. I am from a small town of 4500 which is the County seat.
Aw wow, being accepted to show is huge!!! Well done you. Just had my opposite birthday, what we have as 02/04.... your 04/02. Turned 60!!! Massively spoilt by daughter, picnic on a small electric boat on the river, we made Turkish lamps together (both are mine, and my dad did the grouting/plaster to finish for me), Thai for dinner, and then my parents for dessert, my daughter made me red velvet cake with red velvet macaroons. So spoilt!!!! Better than party, no clean up. Balloons that burst are so noisy and messy. Your fpp looks brilliant! So looking forward to seeing end result. Hugs,Chel 🌸
Thanks for the update Becca😊 Your quilts for the show are great. Are you planning to hang the wall one in your home? The printed quilt labels for every quilt in the show is a great idea! Now sew it on! Lol Your epp is fascinating 😮
I picked up that cassettes quilt, but think I'll just make one block and see if I like it. I will also do the home again quilt, but probably later this year, using some beautiful grey blue batik fabric I bought. Love how your braid quilt looks in Country Rose, and your quilting is lovely!!
(Yes, Becca! Whoa! Going with this format was a great choice for both you and your viewers. You are obviously enjoying making your blogs, and it’s amazing how much you are able to accomplish! I’d forgotten to sign up for your second Sew Yeah class. I kick myself, because I could have completed so many blocks for friendship star quilt that I started during the Zoom Retreat! I love the Radical Cassettes quilt. The colours of the Kona version-which is currently sold out-are really indicative of the 70s, but I like the speckled version as well. I have far too many WIPS to start another project, but I might buy the pattern now and file it away for the fall. I’d likely do it in fabrics from Connecting Threads Tonals, since I already have a stash of them and would just need to buy a few fabrics to fill it out. Personally, I’d make a practice block with fabrics from my stash before using the fabrics for my finished quilt. Thank you for all you do! Happy quilting, and stay well! Muskoka ON 🇨🇦
What an exciting time for you! Congratulations on entering the quilt show, and putting your art on display! Both are beautiful, and you should be so proud!!♥️
Becca, thank you for your excellent advice about not comparing yourself to others. Loved your submissions to your guild show. Tucker did an excellent job quilting, and so did you. Adored both quilts!
Becca vim happy that you got labels for being in the quilt show but they should have award ribbons for the quilts. One of the things wrong in this world is children not knowing how it fells to win! Because everyone gets a participation award so when life doesn’t recognize them they don’t know how to handle it
Fun hearing about all your upcoming projects. And excited to hear your good news about your first quilt show. Also wanted to let you know that I just ordered one of the mini Legit Kits with your affiliate code; it's the Water Lily Mini. It's going in my pile of things to do after I retire, which will hopefully be before the end of the year. Can't wait!
Oooh, I've been eyeballing one of the mini quilts - it might be a nice project to do once this one wraps. It'll take me a little while to save up for a bigger project, so I might get a small more affordable one!
I was able to finish my table runner today during work breaks. It is longer than I wanted but it is beautiful. I am going to add a border to it. With my left over stipend I am going to make another table runner with only 4 or possibly 5 sets of strip. I like the 9 1/2 width.
No, I think you'll manage fine. You always do an amazing job. I think the way you cut your fabric. You're very intricate on that and trying to save space. You will just do just fine. And you're doing something that I couldn't do. Fabulous job girl
Im so proud of you for taking that step and entering your quilts into the show. You are doing great with your legit kits and you have been super busy and gotten so much done. Im really enjoying your weekly podcast. Hope you choose to continue it.
Beautiful quilts. Thank you for sharing. You said the first one was Spring Chicken. Is that the name of the fabric or the pattern? I am really interested in the pattern.
The 'Spring Chicken' quit is made using the 'Spring Chicken' fabric from Sweetwater and a slightly modified version of the 'New Years Star' pattern from Jordan Fabrics
I just compared your pattern with the original Jordan pattern. I like yours best. No trying to match points. It is a 1” finished or 1/2” finished shashing in between?
❤❤❤❤
Congratulations on having your quilts excepted for the quilt show. ❤
Thank you! 😊
Congratulations. Your quilts were beautiful. I really love the Spring Chickens quilting. You are a winner in my books!
Congratulations doll! I’m so incredibly proud of your accomplishments in your quilt submissions.
Much congrats Becca🎉🎉🎉🎉 Love your humble character and all you share with us! Thank you!💕🧵

Yes I am! The 'Spring Chicken' quilt is hung in my studio, and 'From Dusk to Dawn' is shopping for a spot on a wall!
I picked up that cassettes quilt, but think I'll just make one block and see if I like it. I will also do the home again quilt, but probably later this year, using some beautiful grey blue batik fabric I bought. Love how your braid quilt looks in Country Rose, and your quilting is lovely!!

You are so welcome!
That’s how I sew .. one thread width to the left..: always works
Yes!
Good work entering into a show. I’ve been encouraged by my longarmer to do so and I’m considering.
You should!
Great advice. I love the participation label idea. I am going to bring it up to my Guild here in Hayfork, Ca.
Please do! Honestly, the participation label makes me feel recognized, without dealing with the stress of the competition!!! Highly recommend!
Love the idea of starting a quilt on multiple platforms and finishing at your own pace. I look forward to watching all of you on Saturday.
Wonderful!
The table runner is beautiful and I know you have a tutorial, I’m just going to have to make time to do it!!
You can do it!
Tucker’s quilting is amazing. The quilt is gorgeous also.
He did an AMAZING job!

That's a GREAT idea to make a practice block first!
@@sewbecca Yes, especially when you’re planning on making them in an assembly line.
What an exciting time for you! Congratulations on entering the quilt show, and putting your art on display! Both are beautiful, and you should be so proud!!♥️
Thank you so much!

Normally, they do 'viewers choice' contest - this year, they didn't. I don't know why - but I do hope they go back to viewer's choice next year!
Congratulations on 2 of your quilts getting recognition !!🎉🎉🎉
Thank you so much!!
Happy Tuesday everyone

I so enjoy your videos. It’s like sitting in the same room chatting! Love your progress and projects. 😊 And great advice! Thanks!
I'm so glad!

What do you think - will I run out of fabric with the Legit Kit?
No, they are generous with their fabrics
No. I believe them when they say its generous amounts.
No, I think you'll manage fine. You always do an amazing job. I think the way you cut your fabric. You're very intricate on that and trying to save space. You will just do just fine. And you're doing something that I couldn't do. Fabulous job girl
I hope not.

1/2” finished

Dave from Dave's craft room just did a wolf from that line. Great job.
I need to check out his channel - that video popped up in my feed today!
👋
No, I think you will have plenty of fabric
We shall find out!
What happened to your finger?
oh, accidentally cut it with one of those 'razor' style seam rippers. LOL
