I have been watching many, many beading tutorials and I just had to comment on this one because Jill is by far the best, for me at least, instructor. Not too slow, where I'm literally falling asleep, nor so fast that I am lost. Very easy to understand and also very thorough, even including how do deal with common mistakes. I absolutely loved this video and I feel like I have learned the most from just this one than I have in several others combined. Thank you Jill and Beaducation.
I absolutely love the way you teach, Jill. So many people posting tutorials speak fast, or ramble on about personal things in their lives and expect us to do what they're doing with little instruction. You not only speak slowly, but you annunciate and throw in little tips that help, like using the thread to help with counting or why you don't want knots, exactly how many beads and how much thread you're using, etc. Please keep up the awesome work and know that I, for one, do appreciate your method of instruction and will keep watching your tutorials from now on. You make it easier to do it right the first time.Thank you!
This video I agree with others is the best one for beginners to try. I've never tried any sewing beads yet but I think with your video I can do it. I thank you.
Thank you so much for sharing. I made this bracelet which is not an easy thing to do because I have two little lol. It is beautiful. Right now making and trying to sell my jewelry is how I support my family and beautiful designs like this help so thank you again your instructions are very clear.
Thank you for taking the time as you go along to show how to avoid possible errors and how to fix ones that weren't caught. Also thank you for showing how to end a thread and add more. Love the bracelet!
I made this beautiful bracelet ...and when I was done I reinforced it back down the center and those rounds do not sink and it still has beautiful movement ...Thank you so much for this tutorial ....
Made this bracelet this afternoon, really easy and sooo pretty. Your tuition is very clear and easy to follow, Thankyou. I will be making these for birthdays and christmas presents.
This is just stunning! Thank you for your tutorial! You gave precise instructions, and slow enough for us beginners to see and understand what we were looking at! I also loved your analogy of personal space with mistakes! Too accurate! LOL
Just came across this video just after looking at your other video on this bracelet, like this one a little more because of the instructions in the being! thank you for sharing! real pretty bracelet..
Fantastic tutorial, so easy to understand your instructions, can't wait to get the beads and various things for making this project....love it thank you so much. Such a good teacher.
Thanks for teaching me this beautiful bracelet, I have finished one with pearls, I used all the same colour (white) and it looks lovely, the seed beads that I used are dark multi coloured beads, greens, black, pinks and purples. Thank you once again, I will try it with bicones next time just wanted to get going with the beads that I had stashed away in a drawer somewhere, you inspired me to do something with all the beads that I had purchased last year.
This is absolutely gorgeous! Thanks for your step-by-step instruction, great camera angle, & all the pointers. I made mine in shades of blue right along with you & it's beautiful, definitely my fave! Thanks again...
I have always wanted to try my hand at using seed beads. This was my firsts project and it was very easy to do. The tutorial is very specific and I made a beautiful bracelet!
i think that this is one of the best instructional videos I have ever seen on beading. After watching it I am confident that I could make this. Thank you!! I am also going to look for other videos that you have made. The camera is so steady and the video is so easy to see- thank you thank you-
Thank you. I love my new bracelet. I had youtube playing on my tablet and followed step by step. I can't wait to make more in different colors. Thank you again. :)
Wonderful tutorial and directions are so clear. Thank you and I was so pleased that I could see what you were doing throughout the entire video. Your hands and the work were always in the camera view. Thank you. Loved it. I will try to make this bracelet.
This is an awesome bracelet! I made it using 6mm pearls in place of the round crystals and still used the 4mm crystals on the sides and there is still plenty of bling! It is a very labor intensive bracelet though so be prepared to spend an afternoon, it does look nice with the picot edge but very nice without it as well, I think next time ill leave that part out since I have such terrible eye sight! Lol, 11/0 beads are so beautiful but hard on us 5+ farsighted people. Thanks Jill for the great tut!
Thank you for sharing this tutorial. You make it look so easy to do and I can't wait to try this. I think you are right, this probably will be my favorite bracelet to make.
You have one of the best instructional videos that I have seen. I am making myself a couple of these bracelets and maybe a necklace to match. I can't wait to see what else you post.
I started to make these in less than 2 hours whippee.. I wanted to tell you they are addicted.. Love them... Also I find that if you put a bead between the larger crystal so it does not break the fireline.
Excellent tutorial, best teacher on RUclips. I have made one and love it. Except the 6mm beads don't sit on top of the little circle, they are flat in the center of the circle. So the whole bracelet is flat like a band. It's still beautiful, just different. Has anyone else had this problem and know how to correct it?
Thank you so much for the wonderful class. The instruction was so clear and easy to follow. I appreciated the helpful tips along the way. This was my first attempt at beadwork. I just completed the bracelet! I am now officially hooked and I can't wait to try more!
I found the materials list on their website, and because I was searching for it, I will post it for everyone else. TOOLS Beading surface Scissors Size 10 or 12 beading needle Tape measure MATERIALS 4mm bicone crystals, you'll need 36-48 beads 6mm round crystals, you'll need 18-24 beads 8mm round crystal, you'll need 1 for the clasp Size 11 seed beads, you'll need 5-6 grams Fireline, size D, 6lb test or other beading thread of your choice
I am a beginner, and worried it may be a but hard for me, luckily your excellent instruction helped me every step of the way! Thank you for the excellent tutorial, I am almost done with this, a few issues along the way, but you showed me how to correct them (how did you know I would do that?)
Thank you Jill. You mentioned about dressy and fun and funky. I do some craft shows mostly church bazaar type things for now. My work seems to attract a very young crowd. It's good to make a sale but its just a little troubling that when I spent hours or even days on a beaded piece and a parent buys it for his or her 10 year old. I'm trying not to sound like a stuck up b-----, but could you give me some advice on making more grownup looking stuff. Maybe it's the colors I'm using. I don't know😐
Jill says during the Tools and Materials portion of the class to start with a "wings span length of thread, meaning from out stretched arm to arm stretched arm". For me that would be about 5 feet of thread. Have fun!
Most excellent tutorial! Hands are never in the way and that's super important! It just turns me off immediately when I watch a tut that I can't see 100% of the "action!" Thanks and I'll be back for more! 😉
+Gloria Monde Hello! You can find a full list of tools and materials used in this class here: www.beaducation.com/online_classes/108-parisian-lights-bracelet Have a great day!
Oh my gosh I've got the smaller version of your red box in the video does yours hv the hollow lid under the pull. I wd love to hv the big one to go with my smaller 1 lol
Hi, the bracelets are pretty. May I know the colour of beads of the three bracelets at the starting of the video, coz I want to make some for my friends for Christmas. Thanks a lot.
Hi Grace, The colors are listed Jill's site here: jillwisemandesigns.com/. They are as follows: Blue/Bronze Green, and Dusky Pink. The list of materials and tools is available on Beaducation.com. Thanks!
I do not know what color those crystals are. You can visit Jill's website. She sells the kits for this class. shop.jillwisemandesigns.com/parisian-lights-bracelet-kit/
no matter how many times i've tried to get the clasp right, i just cannot get the final 'leg'! i'm not a total novice, i've played this over and over, tried it over and over and still end up with thread from the seed bead under the bicone and the thread exiting the three seed beads meant to become the leg. help!!!!!
uhhhhh, where are the three new seed beads added to make the triangle? that is the only way it works for me, yet somehow you seem to magic them on and i don't see you adding three beads. ah well, on with the show!
I have been watching many, many beading tutorials and I just had to comment on this one because Jill is by far the best, for me at least, instructor. Fantastic! OMG! Thank you. Great instruction!
Very nice! I will be making this bracelet soon!
Just a suggestion, but I find the nylon clad pliers to be less stressful on the needle if you have to pull on it.
Lovely, and with plenty of pausing I think I can do this.
YES, YOU CAN!
I am a beginner, and worried it may be a but hard for me, luckily your excellent instruction helped me every step of the way! Thank you for the excellent tutorial, I am almost done with this, a few issues along the way, but you showed me how to correct them (how did you know I would do that?)

I like the way you explain, it is easy to follow you, just one comment, I would like to give us the exact lenght of each cord. Thank you
Jill says during the Tools and Materials portion of the class to start with a "wings span length of thread, meaning from out stretched arm to arm stretched arm". For me that would be about 5 feet of thread. Have fun!
Thank you so much for this!
que mano tan prodigiosa, muy hermosa su labor.
