    I dearly love the wind sounds.
    I am hot natured and live in texas ....so I am most relaxed imagining the cold , cozy mountain cabin with blowing cold wind.
    My anxiety seems to melt away.
    Thank you Dan Jones.

    Curious why the wind howls just as loud when I am inside the cozy Christmas cabin.

    • @DanJonesHypnosis
      @DanJonesHypnosis  11 месяцев назад

      It doesn't. Inside the cabin the wind is 7.5dB quieter (nearly 50% quieter) than outside the cabin....

    I want to love this channel, LOVE your voice, however it’s so difficult and rare to find stories where there are pregnant pauses between the sentences; giving the slowed down mind a chance to absorb and respond inwardly and visually to the information being given. Honest guys and Michael Sealey are the only ones that do this effectively. I love your stories, but please give us more pause. 🙏🏻

    • @DanJonesHypnosis
      @DanJonesHypnosis  28 дней назад

      It is difficult. Many other channels like mine probably have the same problem, that most people get annoyed with long pauses. Back before my channel was a sleep story channel when I would teach about hypnosis and therapy etc and would post meditations and self hypnosis tracks etc, including hypnotic sleep stories and the pauses were as I do in therapy, so giving plenty of time for inner work and engagement in presented ideas. As my 'stories' started getting an audience of people looking for 'stories' not hypnosis they started getting lots of complaints due to having long pauses when presenting information for the listener to engage with, and complaints about me doing hypnosis and therapeutic content during my stories, which were titled Ericksonian hypnosis sleep stories for about 13 years, and I reduced the pauses, initially too much, to no longer than 4 seconds per pause which stopped the complaints, now they are longer because I felt I was ruining my stories, but being longer I am back to getting complaints and I know if I had even longer pauses, like in the past where I could have 15-60 seconds of pause when needed, then complaints would increase further.
      It is because my channel is now known for storytelling rather than hypnosis or meditation, whereas audiences watching for meditation or hypnosis content are happier with longer pauses. It is just different audiences. Most of my audience wants storytelling not meditation or hypnosis and so don't like long pauses, so I can't do the stories fully as I would like, whereas people watch Michael Sealey for hypnosis, so accept him doing hypnosis, and people watch The Honest Guys for meditation and so accept the meditative pauses.

    That's it? A few minutes of a story and then white noise. How disappointing. Moving on.

      This specific story isn't just a few minutes, it is 37 minutes long (as mentioned in the description) with the sound of the wind continuing on for the remainder of the video for background sound as you continue to fall asleep. I don't know why it would only have played for a few minutes?
      All my 'Magical' stories have the story with sound effects, followed by the final sound effects continuing on after the story, so that the listener can have the sound effects from the story to help them continue to fall asleep rather than suddenly have silence (which some people have said helps them, because that way while they still aren't fully asleep, it doesn't just suddenly go silent, which helps them sleep), whether it is wind or a storm or the ocean or woodland sounds etc, the stories themselves vary from about 30-60 minutes, but it always shows in the description how long each section is and if it is over 40 minutes, then it is also listed as a long story to help the viewer identify this - as some viewers like long stories.
      Over on my Slumberland Sleep Stories channel, and on this channel from prior to posting the Magical stories, you can find stories of varying lengths, from about 15-100 minutes long, but without sound effects. I have playlists by length on this channel, so that these are easy to find.

      I hope you gave the story another chance, its lovely. I'm wondering if you accidentally hit the time bar (is that the proper name?) causing it to skip? OR from personal experience perhaps you passed out a few minutes in only to wake up after actual story ended 😄
