Unlike NuttyBoyomen, I really do appreciate the fact that you guys came up with top 10 Notes aside from your top 10 Lists. Due to the fact that it provides a historical background and as well as informations that provide clarity to some unanswered questions. And you are spot on when it comes to variety, it provides better entertainment towards us viewers/fans. Keep up the good work guys! =)
Yes, yes we could. You should go to watchmojo(dot)com/suggest, add the idea and enter your picks. Meantime, here is the bio we did ruclips.net/video/A3w-guf2G-M/видео.html
The book is great and quite surprising if one reads it in its original form and not the sanitized versions that it inspried. At one moment when he is a more diminutive size is placed on the breast of a woman and observes all of the details of the flesh with all of its blemishes and scents and repulse him. Another is when the palace is on fire Gulliver puts it out by urinating on it. This is not a kiddie story as it has been emasculated of its satirical edge by the less than literate in Hollywood. The best sequence in the book is when Gulliver is among the Houyhnhmns and realizes he is still Yahoo. Forget the movies and read the book. Despite Ted Danson's limited acting range I did enjoy that version.
I'm reminded of Laupta: Castle in the Sky by Hayao Miyazaki, which is a GREAT film. Although it isn't based on the books, per se, it does reference Gulliver's Travels, and the floating island itself is based on the floating island in the books. Highly recommend!
These were requested by readers. We publish 2 videos per day. Aren't these proof that we haven't and will never run out of ideas? That line is getting old ;) - or put differently, the 4 videos we will publish this weekend alone just may be a figment of your imagination ;)
That is why Laputa Castle in the Sky Anime was translated just as Castillo en el Cielo, and the island itself name was changed into Lapuntu...(oh well!!)
I'd like to see a new version with Hugh Jackman. I thought Ted Danson was a strange choice. He did fine in the roll but I just thought it was odd to cast him. I think Jackman would be great though. I'm not sure why entirely but I think that would work very well.
There was an apparent urination obsession in the book that is usually not included in any film adaptation, as well as some even dirtier stuff, but interesting stories to be sure.
Appreciate your feedback and respect your preference. But think of a band like Queen, they were all about diversity and releasing such a wide range of music. In the end, that's partly what made them great. Not saying WM = Queen of course, but that's kinda what we strive to be... variety is good, helps us get better and keeps our viewers/fans on their feet. We want every clip to be better than the previous one, but also to keep you guessing. The show will go on, even if you don't like 1 video.
My answer to those who say "You're running out of ideas..." is: While the sun hangs in the sky and the desert has sand While the waves crash in the sea and meet the land While there's a wind and the stars and the rainbow Till the mountains crumble into the plain Oh yes, we'll keep on trying Tread that fine line Oh, we'll keep on trying Yeah Just passing our time..."
If the underlying accompanying video (broll) is in 720 or 1080, we publish in HD... but we generally publish in the format we are working with, and on these older clips that's usually 480
Question: What is represented by the part of the story where the Brobdingnagians use Gulliver as a sex toy? Yes it's in the book (so is the opposite when the Liliputians stare in awe at Gullivers literal large testicles).
This is absolutely awesome watchmojo ! finally information that matters ! pls keep doing this on other great works. maybe touch physical and biological sciences ?! Knowledge is power right ?! cheers !
Do I agree with your list? How does someone disagree with study notes...? Are you just so used to saying it or would you actually like some sporting discussions on disagreements with the list?
Have to? I don't know what that means. Of course they don't have to. But in this case, everything does. That's what satire is. Gulliver's Travels is satire.
Gulliver's Travels is often abridged, both to reduce the length and/or to remove the more scatological and sexual elements. In the original book, Gulliver talks about the giant magnet for several pages, but the bit about the compasses changing and the Laputans not having any idea where they were going is an invention of the screenplay.
You may be better at movies etc, but it's always nice to learn things.
I always find the 10 Notes videos interesting.
Thanks for making them.
He wants so badly to go back to the land of sapient horses.
Lemuel Gulliver: The First Brony
man, I really feel bad for Gulliver by the end of the book.
Shots fired. "The show will go on, even if you don't like 1 video."

When I read this book in college I thoroughly enjoyed it, but I had a problem with the ending.
