Thanks for the post! I was thinking seriously about getting this and your video definitely sold me on the idea.

That cello had me staring open mouthed! Simply amazing. Congratulations!
Getting late here, so will check more tomorrow.

Again, I really appreciate it! I'm actually working on a follow up to this video as I type this reply. Stay tuned! My eurorack rig has changed a LOT since this video.

sounds soo beautiful crazy that you can achieve such soundscapes only with this little equipment

Thank you very much! If you haven't already, check out my most recent video that looks at the sound box that I'm working on. If you're into ambient soundscape stuff, I'm still at it!
      Either way though, thanks again!

Thank you! Yeah, I'm really happy with it. I don't know if you had a chance to check out any of my later videos, but my rack has changed a bit since this video. I still have the same broad goal in mind, but it has definitely grown! I'm going to do a follow up video looking at where I am with the whole situation pretty soon. Thanks for watching and commenting!

@@thedigitallost I will certainly check them out. Curious. I am also using a uBurst but with the standaard combo of MI Marbles, Plaits, Rings ✌️

Cool. I always really like what other people can do with those seemingly standard Mutable modules.
I gotta be honest with you, I don't use the uburst anymore. I realized I was only really using it as a reverb which seemed like a waste of all of its abilities. I also realized that maybe the whole glitch granular thing was not really what I was looking for. I have no ill will towards the module, more just it wasn't for me. In all honesty though, I am very, very interested to see what the Mk 2 Clouds offers.
I tried a Plaits clone but ended up going for a legit Mutable Plaits that I adore. Having the larger knobs makes everything so much easier! But yeah, I'll definitely be doing a follow-up video on the current state of my rig where I'll look a little bit more closely at what's currently in there and where I'm going with it.

Thank you! Yeah, I really can see how this could spiral a bit out of control. But I'm feeling pretty good about what direction I might go in and to try not to just fill empty gaps with whatever I can get my hands on. I just need to stay focused!

Oh I'm trying. Modular grid isn't helping though. Ah well!

I'm just starting on my adventure in modular and came across this vid. I saw that you've updated you system since. Any chance of you continuing this series? I'm mainly interested in using it as an effects box like you are doing here. I have the Pico input like you and have added the Schlappi Engineering Interstellar Radio and am looking to add a Clouds derivative soon but am interested to know your thoughts on where to go with things like modulation, vca's, multiples and the like.

Hello there! Thank you for watching and taking an interest in what I'm doing!
Yes, absolutely I'll be making a follow-up to this video. I guess the delay is one of those tropes regarding modular that is actually quite true; that a modular rig really does evolve slowly and naturally. So yes, I have made a few changes in my current rig and will absolutely be making a video soon looking at what I'm doing.
There will probably be a couple of other videos before that though. Firstly, I'll be doing a follow-up video to my Pamela's New Workout tutorial. This will be a more supplementary and brief video touching on some things that I just kind of glossed over or that I've been asked about since that video came out.
I'm also waiting on a Tiptop Audio Echoz module to compliment the Zverb module that I got not too long ago. I'm going to do a video looking at those two as well.
After that, aside from any music videos I might randomly make, I plan on doing a current state of my rig video.
Briefly: broadly speaking my end goal is still roughly the same; a rig that focuses more on effects that can work well with external gear. I did add a voice though. I have a Mutable Instruments Plaits installed and I'm absolutely loving it. I had a miniature clone for a while but the quality just wasn't good. It was enough to make me realize that I like the sounds coming from Plaits though and the legit module is really, really nice. I'm using an ALM SBG for external pedals processing as I love effects pedals and have quite a few. All my modulation is courtesy of the Pamela's New Workout module. I took the uburst Clouds clone out but still have it. I realized I was only using it as a reverb and not taking full advantage of everything it did. I will give it another go at some point, but for now I'm using the Zverb for all my reverb.
I've tried out quite a lot of other random modules and have a few other ones that I think I might keep in my small rig, but I guess I should leave something for the follow up video!
(Gotta be honest, I'm seriously obsessing over the Moog Subharmonicon, but it's just not affordable right now. Some day hopefully!)
Thanks again for watching and commenting and taking an interest. Keep posted for more videos and if you haven't already maybe think about a subscription! It's really helpful for me and it's the best way to know when new videos come out and is always deeply appreciated. And if you already have, thanks again!
      Cheers.

@@thedigitallost Wow, what a nice lengthy reply! Good to hear you still have more or less the same goal in mind. Like you said elsewhere, there is a risk of going down a rabbit hole if you're not careful.
Funny you should mention the ALM SBG. I was just looking into that as I ordered Zoom MS-cdr70 just yesterday for it's ability to sound like another yet way more expensive pedal... But now I want to integrate it with my modular of course.
As for modulation, that Pamela's New Workout looks to becoming a bit of a standard but it takes up so much space!
I'm really hoping to cram as much into my NiftyCase as possible so am going to do a bit more research on that before I decide.
Anyway thanks for your reply and keep up the good work! New subscriber here for sure!

No problem! If you hadn't already guessed, I really love talking about all this stuff!
I don't think Pamela's is that huge at 8HP, especially not when you look at how much it does. And not to toot my own horn, but if you're interested I do a pretty uncomplicated tutorial here on my channel.
I went with the SBG over other external pedal modules because I like the idea of the output that can modulate expression and control inputs. That, and ALM just seems to make some really nice quality modules.
But yeah, thanks again! And I'm no expert, but if you have any further questions go right ahead!

@@thedigitallost Hmmm, no you're right, 8hp is fine. I must be confused with something else. I'll have a look at your tutorial tout suite!
