Thinking of getting this figure definitely, but one glaring problem I have noticed is the unmasked head is bigger than the helmet. But the helmet does look better proportioned than the unmasked head.
oh man this figure looks great, like marvel’s tribute to Tokusatsu. he looks just like a kamen rider might buy 1 to keep as is, 1 to make an mcu daredevil custom, and another to make a wolverine deadpool 3 custom this is amazing

I remember when the first movie came out...at that time I was going to buy a Ant-Man action figure or figures. I love that costume or costumes that he and Wasp wear. One word say's it all..."COOL!" I have ant man and the wasp movie one and I have to admit, it’s terrible. The painting, the sculpting, everything. The helmet is not right, the heads hair is shifted off so he has a bald spot near his ear, everything is just terrible. I’m not sure if this was the case with anyone else’s but that happened to mine 😢
In person Paul is very, very old. I thought he looked like Ant-Mans grandfather from the trailer. Seeing him I felt old. A lot older than my 800,0009,0007,0000666,0009,8888,666 billion trillion years attest to 😛
It’s such a beautiful figure. But the marbling with the crack on the forehead bugs the hell out of me. I had to paint over it just to cover it up a bit and it looks much better but we shouldn’t have to do that! Also, I did figure that was the point. That it’s there because he’s fighting Kang and he does get his helmet broken but still. A little lazy if you ask me.
Not Hasbro's fault, but I really do hate this suit design. It's overly busy with too many lines and materials, especially in the torso/chest area. MCU suits have had this problem lately in general, but this Ant-Man suit is definitely the worst offender so far.
I personally think Kang and Thor in his gold Armour are the worst recent examples but definitely feel like they need to simplify things just a little bit
Ant Man versus AIM and MODOK. He’s not said too much other than he thought it was a good idea more grounded as his character has been. Im sure the premise would have been AIM experimenting with Quantum energy thus getting the Pym family involved. I almost think it would have had Cassie getting involved with AIM as the position themselves as a company trying to make life better. That would have got Scott and Hope involved. They could have still set up Kang as he would have been a consequence of experimenting with Quantum energy and Kang being exiled to that realm. I think Paul wanted more action comedy than set up for new big bad.
Paint and overall body proportions are horrendous. For the paint, it's not horrendous because it's sloppy but mostly because it lacks accuracy to the movie.
I wish it came with two helmets so I can put it on my first movie figure… that figures helmet sucks + that’s the era for the Giant Man BAF so the figures don’t match, has always bothered me Now I have the Antman 2 figure and I can’t bring myself to take the head off the beautiful new articulation! Gah

I think the Scott Lang head is new, it looks thinner than the first 10 years one
They might have just scaled the width in a bit for an easy fix and given it a better paint job.
if you look at the hair it’s completely identical. the head is just reuse with better paint

The painted eyes always pissed me off…. And the red pins on the black parts of the fig looked really bad… so I’m excited for this one

I wish Paul Rudd’s idea of the third movie was made. The figure looks good. Wish they made the sci-fi army ants.
